Have received Cure & Simple streaky bacon for time, very nice. Until September 2019, no delivery, but money taken, emailed & received auto response. Then nothing, messaged them from their website, got a reply saying sorry & October although sent, so would not charge. Still no sign of October order, tried messaging from website, no response, messaged them & received auto response then nothing. No matter how good a product is, if they cannot delivery & customer service is rubbish. Cannot recommend this company at all. Do not use.

In response to the above review, I was contacted by Cure & Simple. I have now received my delivery of streaky bacon. Hopefully future deliveries will be received without any problem.

I am obsessed with the bacon from Cure and Simple. One of the best subscription I have, not had any issues. The customer service is also really helpful too.

Didn't receive two months worth of subscription but they take the money anyway. I can't cancel online and the number is a dead tone. Like the company has disappeared off the face of the earth. My online account and subscription is still alive however.....

I have just been made aware from other reviewers on here, the similar issues we all seem to be facing with this scamming company.

I got a special offer for my first order through my Three contract which granted new customers a special rate of £2 for their first order.

I must have completed registration and subscription but could not remember if I had as no order was delivered. Assuming I must have just got to the checkout page and did not proceed, I forgot all about it until a month later, i noticed the £5.95 charge on my bank account for my recurring monthly subscription.

I contacted cure & simple on twitter to discuss the missing first order and about canceling my subscription to which they gave me the generic hello@ email address. Emailed over my complaint a week ago and got no reply. I took back to twitter since that was the only place I ever got a reply from them but was ignored on their too.

I can't cancel my subscription online, I can't get a hold of anyone on the telephone number provided on their site to cancel the subscription, I can't get a reply via email or twitter and I am still missing an order and subscribe to a service that I do not want nor would I want to continue paying for since the 1 order I received was average at best and despite their claims, does still have a lot of white fatty bits on it.

From someone who is head of marketing for a tech start-up and understanding the trials and tribulations that cure and simple has probably had to go through to get a product to market and build their business to where it is now, it is a real shame to see them falling short on the most basic of human interactions in terms of their customer service.

Hopefully, some people see this review prior to signing up for this subscription service and if anyone from C&S sees this review, my name is Robert, you will find an email in your inbox describing the exact same issue I am posting here along with my telephone number. Call me or email me back!

Dreadful company to deal with.
Got a 'deal' for a cheaper packet of bacon as my first order. I never arrived.
They sent a replacement which eventually arrived.(It was ok)
I have been trying to contact them since then to cancel my subscription but am being ignored. I have had to block them through my bank to stop them from taking any more money from me.
Avoid! Go to the butchers instead!

Edit: If you too are having difficulty getting Cure and Simple to reply to your emails just leave them a rubbish review on Trustpilot and they will get back to you immediately!

The bacon is nice though nothing special....its better than supermarket quality but not really better than any bacon i can buy in a butcher. However, we were told delivery would be on the Friday. By Monday, it hadnt arrived so i emailed them. It then arrived on Tuesday but i still havent actually had a response to my email. I then went to cancel on their website to find they dont do online cancellations, i have to call.

If you want to be seen as an independent online alternative to big supermarket produce you a. need good customer service and b. need decent online services. They dont.

Brilliant service and the bacon is wonderful. A lot better than shop bought.

First order was shipped but not received. Contacted the site over the weekend, received a reply early Monday morning stating that replacement pack would be sent and delivered on Tuesday. Bacon arrived on Tuesday and was very good. Disappointed that original shipment didn't arrive, but was impressed by resolution to the problem.

Great product, great customer service when I had a problem. Couldn't recommend them more.

Absolutely terrible company. took 9.90p and didn't deliver the bacon, they are impossible to get hold of , they do not answer emails and refuse to pick up the phone, see all the other incidents like this . AVOID

Makes unexpected credit card charges, even after subscription cancelled, doesn't answer the phone, doesn't answer enquiry emails.

I made a one off order as a gift after reading some positive articles about this company. At completion the web page stated I would get an email order confirmation. This never arrived.
As such I emailed them, several times and got no response. Eventually managed to get hold of them - once - on FB only to be told they could not find my order and they would need more details.
Said details provided and I never heard back. Even got a copy of my bank statement to show that I had ordered and the money had been taken... never heard another peep from them.
In the end the gift was delivered but still the company remains complete mute.

Long story short. I will not use them again and strongly discourage others from doing so.

Stole my money, impossible to cancel and they don’t reply to emails! Avoid!!!

Took two unauthorized payments of £249.90 from my account. £499.80 total. I asked for a refund over a week ago and have received nothing. Cure & Simple are thieves and nothing more than that.
