I was gifted an afternoon tea by a friend which was a nice surprise and much appreciated. It was well presented and all looked very nice. However, having now had the tea, I wouldn’t buy it again mysel... See more

I’m really disappointed with my experience with Cutter & Squidge. My best friend kindly bought me a gift voucher from them for my baby shower. There was no expiry date stated anywhere on the voucher, so I assumed I’d be able to use it without any issues.
When I tried to redeem it, I was told it had expired just a few days earlier. This was the first time I’d heard anything about an expiry date. I called their customer service to explain the situation and asked if they could make a goodwill exception, especially since the expiry date wasn’t clearly stated, but they refused.
I was so disappointed that I even emailed the CEO in the hope that someone would look into the situation or at least respond. Unfortunately, I never received any reply.
Afterwards, I looked at other reviews and noticed that several people have had very similar experiences with vouchers expiring and not being honoured. It’s really frustrating, especially when the voucher was a thoughtful gift for a special occasion.
Overall, the lack of flexibility and the poor customer service I wouldn’t recommend using this company. There’s way better cake companies who have really good customer service!!!!

Absolutely terrible experience.
Cutter and Squidge has treated me appallingly. They took my money, ignored my concerns, cancelled my order without resolving the issue, and offered no support. There has been no communication from Cutter and Squidge.
I was left chasing for answers with no resolution, no accountability, and no consideration for the inconvenience caused. What should have been a simple order turned into a frustrating and stressful experience.
Based on this, I would not recommend Cutter and Squidge. Extremely disappointing service and a complete lack of customer care.

So tired of giving Cutter & Squidge a chance. Over and over again deliveries have been late, worse still there is no way to contact them, they don’t answer the telephone or emails, the AI bot is useless and the staff simply don’t care. Surely they realise that they work in a time critical ‘special occasion’ business and it’s essential to get things right and on time. I’ve placed 25 orders with them in 5 years and this was my last. I have run out of patience. There are so many other companies out there that care and deliver on time. The only reason I used them like so many others was for the blueberry and lemon but they’ve cut corners on that too now. Cutter & Squidge could not care less about their customers.

Good selection of products with an easy ordering process.

this was my first time ordering (so i don't know about the quality or taste!)
it was fine ordering but the shopify made it worse!! it kept changing my address for shipping and it was a gift - so please double check that the shipping is correct as mine nearly wasn't!

Received afternoon strawberry tea as a gift.
Scones dry and hard
Brownies very ordinary and thin.
A couple of tea bags
Sickly sweet dry sponge
Very poor altogether.

I have shopped with Cutter & Squidge for a while, and the gift recipients are always thrilled with what they get. Today I was using a gift card for the first time and found it very frustrating trying to work out how to use it! I almost gave up ordering entirely multiple times, which would have been a shame. It would be helpful if information on how to use gift cards is clearer - not just in the email confirmation but also on the website itself.

I've been using C&S for years.
However the latest experience completely put me off them.
They cancelled delivery of a cake for a birthday party the evening before with no offer of replacement for the same day.
Apparently I can pick a cake of a same value dor delivery on another date. AMAZING RIGHT?
Because a birthday cake that is delivered a week late is pretty much the same right?
They offered no compensation for this massive fail on their part.
Avoid this company.
Edit: I am obviously not going to put my real name and details on a public website. Order number was Cs1229762 if you'd like to "investigate further", but I've already expressed my unhappiness and not receiving a cake that I ordered for a birthday party MONTHS in advance with no chance of getting a replacement, because it was past your own order deal e.

It was difficult to pay and enter address and it turned out I do have to pay for the delivery although the website says free over £40 - disappointing to discover later after doing so much research

Went to order, paid a very large amount and then realised I forgot to apply the discount 45 mins after placing the order.
I emailed and got told as it was next day delivery (it wasn’t, delivery was 3 days away) and as it had been outside of the 30 min window to amend the order, the discount couldn’t be applied.
Tried to email somebody to cancel and then potentially look at re-ordering but nobody has replied to my email.
Very disappointed. After having looked at the reviews on this website, I am doubtful as to whether the order will arrive at all.

Good choice of cakes and the website is easy to navigate which also has a very useful section on cake care instructions.

Placed an order for multiple afternoon teas and a brownie box. It said I could add to my order within 30 minutes, so I added an extra afternoon tea box. This was all for a family event taking place tomorrow. I paid for the original order plus paid separately for the extra item. From the email confirmation, I could go in to view my order online and it showed all items I'd ordered.
Order came today and the extra item was missing. No notice of anything not being available, but the delivery slip in the box only showed my original order.
I contacted the company immediately and then received a separate email apologising for a glitch which meant the additional item I added didn't go through and wouldn't be processed. However looking at my online bank account, I can see that the two separate payments were taken yesterday. Also why weren't they able to tell me this until two days later and after my order has actually arrived?
I'm really unimpressed that they took my money for all items but didn't deliver. I've asked twice via email today when I'll get a refund, and no reply.

Bought a box of 3 cookie dough heart pies for a Valentine’s Day present. Aesthetically they look nice. But oh my goodness they were so dry, basically like a very stale brownies. No goo in the middle. Even when heated up they were just as dry. They also lacked flavour and left a cheap taste in my mouth. Won’t be ordering again.

This is my 3rd time ordering this same cake from Cutter and Squidge. Each time as a treat for my daughter and me. We can’t eat dairy - but love chocolate. This vegan chocolate fudge cake tastes like it’s dripping in cream and all things delicious. It is SO luxurious and so decadent. It’s always perfectly presented, perfectly delivered - and frankly the greatest breakfast imaginable. Happy Valentine’s weekend to us! What a treat! I LOVE this company.

Website easy to navigate and order. Delivered on the date I requested. Very well packaged so the cake arrived in tact and defrosted perfectly for the party. I ordered the vegan chocolate and caramel cake, and it was delicious!! Will definitely use them again!

Just placed my second gift order from this fab company. My mother in law was delighted with her tea for two gift and said the cakes & scones were just yummy! I have recommended to friends as they have some great gift & letterbox treats. Easy to use website, quality products and great service.
Thank you Cutter & Squidge
