Impossible to cancel subscription
Impossible to cancel subscription. Forgot log in so when I requested a password reset they never emailed me it and I tried multiple times. Even when calling their phone number no one answers even during the hours they say they’re open. Now I’m going to have to get an entirely new card just so I can stop being charged.
This is not so much a review but more a suggestion.
This is not so much a review but more of a suggestion for the Daily Wire. I wanted to watch the additional content from one of Jordan Peterson's interviews, which is only available to paid up members of the Daily wire. I had hoped it would have been available for a one off fee or that there would have been a reduced cost trial period, but neither are on offer. I had a look round the site to see if it was worth me forking out for one month but there seemed little for me there, there are others I'd rather give my money to.
There are a lot of podcasts vying for paid subscribers, many of which I'd quite like to subscribe to. However the majority of us have limited funds and either cannot afford to subscribe to everything they want to or who just want to watch or listen to one article.
DailyWire, why not take the initiative and allow articles to be watched for a one off payment? There must be others like me out there who aren't interested in buying a full month's subscription, either because they don't have the time to make use of it or because the majority of material is not for them. I'm sure I'm not alone in this and I feel it would probably be an additional revenue for you. after all, I can't justify £15 to watch a half hour article, I can go and watch an entire film on the big screen and Dolby atmos for less
stay away
Customer service literally ended a chat on me and said have a great day when I asked for a refund that was absolutely justifiable. They didn’t even let me respond. Closed convo said have a great day but we’re keeping the 100+ we charged you. Very evil model
Upgraded my plan without notice and…
Upgraded my plan without notice and deducted automatically the new amount from my credit card.
If a zero was possible
If a zero was possible, this app would get it. The links don’t open the right articles, you can’t comment on video content and now this silly music won’t stop playing - even while trying to watch a video or read an article on Charlie Kirk.
They are crooks
I canceled my subscription and they still charged me and refused to refund. They are crooks.
Fraudulent charge on my credit card for subscription I never ordered
Fraudulent charge on my credit card for subscription I never ordered.
I've never subscribed nor given them my credit card information so there is no way this should have happened. This is not only unethical behavior but in my book is criminal.
Worst app
Worst app. Just the worst. I don’t get why they don’t fix it.
Canceled my subscription in June
Canceled my subscription in June, just can’t afford it. They charged me again, even though I have a clear email saying it was canceled in June 14 and got charged late July. Called about it and they say I have an active subscription but I actually don’t and when I asked what account they said they cannot give me that info but somehow charged my card? Called bank and I guess daily wire sent one paper that says I have an active subscription (doesn’t have dates or account) and they don’t tell the bank which one or where it’s from. So bank denied my claim? And bank says they can’t make the vendor give me back my money. Confused as to how Daily wire can just steal 150 dollars… still won’t tell me what account is active. Oh wait, it’s because I don’t have one! Don’t trust them anymore.
Impossible to cancel
Clearly, they do not want you to cancel your subscription. I canceled last year and, lo and behold, a new annual subscription pops up and I am charged again! This kind of dishonest business practice makes me doubt that any of their products are trustworthy. A 2.2 out of 5 on employees recommending working there heightens this belief. If they don't fix this, they will always remain a niche organization, and not the great movement they purport to be becoming.
Update: got an email a couple of days after trying to get my $$ back saying I had 24 hours to respond. I made the reply in time. It’s been almost 2 weeks and no response from them. I kept a copy of this cancellation in my files this time. I think they’re going to keep my $$ this time so I’ll have to see what they do with my cancellation. I’m betting I go through this again.
Was important but won't renew, as long as they let me cancel!
I joined DW after watching a censored Jordan Peterson video on YouTube - I wanted to hear what was said. This happened at a particularly woke time of excessive censorship, not that we've quite got out of all that yet. I also like Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh, for whom I retain great respect. At first I enjoyed being part of the commenting community, where we found much in common politically. As time went on - and I'm English and secular - there was more and more in the way of moronic comments from the hyper-religious fundamentalists, with strident intolerant views on e.g. abortion (among other things), who are a peculiar feature of right-wing North American society and way off beam to educated Europeans. I doubt very much that my subscription will be renewed - assuming that I am technically allowed to do that, which other comments on TrustPilot are hardly encouraging about. I shall go back to Dr Peterson and Mr Shapiro on YouTube and avoid engaging with simple-minded online psychotics. Nevertheless I regard DW as having provided an important public service when there was a serious social and psychological and political danger from the Democrats (as so many people, American voters, seemed oblivious to how totalitarian, irrational and potentially dangerous they were and unfortunately still are at the time of writing).
Whatever Daily Wire is, it’s a scam
I don’t even know what DailyWire is and I would make this a negative star review if I could (this is the only review I’ve made for a company in a year… I never have time to write reviews but had to here). I did not sign up for this app directly, somehow was signed up for this for 4 months before I noticed the charges during a busy time in my life where I wasn’t monitoring my credit card statements like a hawk. My bad. When I asked the customer service rep to help me with this, they said there’s nothing they can do because the subscription latches onto other purchases often and they “guaranteed I bought it inadvertently”… so basically, the company knows they take advantage of people being too busy to monitor their stuff constantly where they scam people into buying subscriptions without them knowing.
Cancelled It, charged 128.00 anyway
Cancelled it, shortly after watching 2 movies on the garbage app. Then 8 months later I got a charge that overdrafted my account. Then I looked back, and had been charged every month, I just hadn't caught it. I was charged 128.00 in all, contacted "Customer Service", and was basically told to get f***ed, in corporate contract speak though. There was no "Cancellation on file". If I could leave 0 stars I would. Low Quality App, Low Quality Content, you guessed it, Low Quality Service. I'll let everyone I know how great Daily Wire is. NOT that I think they'll do anything to resolve it, but here's the last invoice # if anyone would like to contact me to resolve this.

DO NOT authorize yearly auto-renew
My yearly subscription auto-renewed without my knowledge... I caught the ($159) charge 12 days later, cancelled, and asked for a refund. THEY WOULDN'T GRANT IT! Wow! I've been a subscriber for years and this is how they treat you. I'll never support them again.
Extreme amounts of spam
Extreme amounts of spam. Absolutely insane treasure hunt to try to find the cancel button.
Content is not worth the exorbitant price.
Gift Subscription requires CC to use
Received a Gift Subscription but to activate it, you have to enter credit card payment information and then they charge you a dollar. Seems incredibly sketchy and is sad for a conservative company to use such poor business tactics. I've not seen a gift subscription handle this way - even from some woke game companies. I'll be calling their support number again to get the card information removed from my account now that its activated.
Poor product
Product isn’t up-to-par. Ben Shapiro appears to care more about Israel’s well-being than the United States. The company doesn’t appear to uphold to its values. Many of the products are made overseas in China. I wouldn’t waste your money.
Total ripoff
I tried to cancel 2 weeks after my credit card was charged. They had not sent an email notifying me of renewal on 2/22 (which they said they had sent). I then called “customer service” and they offered me a downgraded subscription with a small adjustment but no refund, not even prorated.
They trick you when you try to cancel…
They trick you when you try to cancel your "free trial" - those stupid little buttons that say YES real big but then in fine print "to continue my subscription". I was under the impression that when I started the process of canceling my subscription, I was confirming YES to cancel. But I was tricked. It was on a credit card I never use and have set up for automatic payments, so it took me 6 months to realize the monthly subscription was still active. they were charging me for 6 months and I never once when on their site or watched their content. they are unwilling to refund me. you know they have data on every page you look at as a customer, but they are unwilling to go and verify that I did not use their services and should have a refund for the 6 mo x $14.99 = $90!!!! My discover card would not support me so I canceled discover and will no longer use discover.
