I am currently working with…
I am currently working with Dalslanguage as an interpreter, and my experience with them has been extremely disappointing.
Their rate is below minimum wage, and completely unacceptable considering the level of responsibility and professionalism required for interpreting work in the UK.
Communication is very poor. When you call, you often have to wait a long time on hold with no guarantee that anyone will actually answer. If you send an email, you may have to wait weeks for a response, if you receive one at all.
The working process feels disorganised and unprofessional. There is a lack of clear communication regarding bookings, and everything feels inconsistent and poorly managed.
In my experience, when issues or disagreements arise, there is also a noticeable lack of fairness in how work opportunities are distributed afterwards, which creates a very uncomfortable working environment.
Overall, this has been one of the worst agencies I have worked with. I would not recommend Dalslanguage to any interpreter looking for fair pay, respect, and reliable communication.
Fake reviews
Neither one of the mentioned experiences here as reviews are genuine. For security reasons, I will not disclose past experience, but what I can say for sure, is the fact that 80% of the reviews for this company is PAID. Otherwise saying the company is 'buying' the reviews with additional compensation in their remittance in order to provide the interpreter the good review.
Their computer system is fully controlled internally from the office, as well as they provide to the 'favourite' interpreters the video remote details or some other 'choosen' bookings. Similar to the post office scandal with the horizon software, the same situation is happening here. With this company I have a few unpaid and performed bookings and they refused to compensate me. in this tough time of the UK economy where and when each penny counts, no wander how many people would slip on the offer for additional compensation against good review, especially with secured bookings etc.
In addition, based on the law in the UK, there is certain feature from authorney point of view which must be followed and they must change their name in Companies House and they are still with their old name of DA Languages.
Finally, company which operates under umbrella of 3 or 4 other companies attached to technology advancement and computer systems, what else do you expect except fraudulent activities and hiding taxes.
The recruitment process was smooth
The recruitment process was smooth, and responses were faster. Special thanks to Alexandra.
and now they have plenty of fake 5 star…
and now they have plenty of fake 5 star reviews - pay attention, most of them are from Romania, in bad English and it's not about work - it's about 5 star ONBOARDING
I had an all round positive experience
I had an all round positive experience. Everything went fast and smoothly.
Going mad as it doesn't work
Can't login although my password is correct. Changed it twice just in case but no. Losing work.
My previous review about them seems be…
I don't know why most reviews are 5 star reviews and if they are fake or not but I don't care.
In my experience, I cannot rely on this company to provide a stable full-time income; it feels more like a part-time opportunity.
Until a few weeks ago, phone calls were generally fine (not missed, failed, or dropped). However, recently, most calls disconnect automatically after the robot voice prompts me and I press any key.
I have been working with them for almost a year, and I also have to pay taxes from what I earn through them. Additionally, the payment they send does not fully cover the bank transfer fees; it only covers them partially or at all.
Even though the company is based in the UK, the earnings I receive are quite low and do not come close to what would be considered a minimum full-time income there, which makes it difficult to rely on this work financially.
The positive aspects are that they pay on time and they respond quickly by phone.
The technical support from ipsupport, leaves a lot to be desired. In many cases, they have not been able to help me resolve the call issues.
It also seems (although I hope I am mistaken) that there is a pattern where, in the first week of the month, I receive a high volume of calls, followed by a significant decrease in the following weeks, along with more disconnected calls.
There are also people within the company who do their job well, such as Diana, whose support has been helpful in trying to resolve the phone call issues.
Really disappointed.
Really disappointed.
Ordered a sofa from Dals and it was extremely uncomfortable. Tried to return it straight away and was refused just because the packaging had been opened – even though it’s in perfect condition.
How else are you supposed to try a sofa? We even offered to return it ourselves and they still said no.
This is against consumer law. They also aren’t part of an ombudsman scheme, so there’s no proper route to escalate this which is really concerning.
I’m now working with Citizens Advice and Trading Standards to get this resolved.
Avoid
Avoid. They will not disclose payment rates and will push you into signing a contract that doesn't mention it.
I have tried making my point twice and they ignored me when I said " There isn't any mention about payment rates in the agreement". As they were going on and on about it being there. I read it 4 times and made sure I have not missed anything. They ghosted me in the end. Not trustworthy, rude customer service and recruitment staff.
Amazing company
Amazing company, very convenient software, the app makes it so easy to use and great staff as well,Emma Panainte helped me throughout the whole process of applying to become an interpreter.

Onboarding as an interpreter
Dals has just completed onboarding me with the help of Alexandra, the Linguist recruiter. She made the process go smoothly and efficiently. I look forward to start Interpreting!
THEY LIE ABOUT PAYMENT, GASLIGHTER COMPANY
THEY LIE ABOUT PAYMENT, GASLIGHTER COMPANY
I HAVE BEEN FIGHTING FOR 4 MONTHS TO GET WHAT I WORKED FOR. THEY CHANGE ANSWER FOR A DIFFERENCE OF 300 GBP. GREEDY MISCHIEVIOUS PEOPLE!
THIS HONORABLE TASK SHOULD BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE HANDS OF THIEVES!
I AGREE AND REPEAT MY COLLEAGUES COMMENT BELOW ..
Qualified adults, doing complex and important work, are being paid less than a college student stacking shelves.
Clear and fast recruiting process
The recruiting process was transparent and fast. There is quite a lot of paperwork required, but everything was explained very clearly to me and the entire process took 8 days (including activating my account). Special thanks to Ms. Alexandra, the recruiter who gave me all her support during the process!
Nice and smooth experience
I just finished my application and it had been approved. It took some time since there are many steps to do but it went all smoothly thanks to the assistance of the recruiter Alexandra, who was patient and available throughout all the process. I hope it continues to be a nice experience
THEY UNDERPAY
THEY UNDERPAY, take into consideration all fake complaints of the entitled customers, who put the phone 5 meters from them or so and the sound is lost and you can't hear, or speak bad English, or put phone too close and there's echo, or speak without a break, speak fast, speak pigeon English etc etc - it will all be a fault of the interpreter. Also, you never know if you have enough work, it might suddenly stop or reduce because of unknown reasons. Therefore I do not recommend this company as a means of income, maybe a very part-time something until you find something better
Great Experience
I have had a great experience with Dals, all thanks to my recruiter Emma P, who was really available throughout the onboarding process and guided me through the complicated procedure.
It was a smooth application process.
My experience applying to Dals
I recently got approved to work as an English–Arabic interpreter with the Dals Link app, and my experience so far has been great. The onboarding process was smooth and easy to follow. A special thank you to Alexandra, the recruiter, for her support and for walking me through every step of the application process. She was very helpful, patient, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. I’m excited to get started!
