Difficult to Return items
My sister bought a lovely coat from Damart which encouraged me to purchase a coat from them too. I bought a coat & a blouse that didn’t suit me so tried to return using their system of going through Evri’s email which takes you to a “chatbox” that will have all the customer’s details & order details. Well it doesn’t! It doesn’t matter what you do, this “chatbox” doesn’t exist.
My sister helped me today the only way to return items is complete Evri’s return system; Drop down menu find “Damart”, type in the the account & order number ( which are typed in the smallest print possible on the invoice) Next, reason for return: doesn’t suit me or makes me look hideous doesn’t exist.
And it will only acknowledge 1 item at a time which means that you are expected to pay 2 return fees.
The invoice states if you have a problem Please call our customer service number, which turns out to be at a premium rate.
The advisor didn’t listen to what I was saying, kept telling me use Evri website. Finally he understood that I wanted him to organise the return.
What did he think I was calling a premium rate number, to be told to do what I was already trying to do?
He ignored lots of what I was saying & I know this is true because when I said, “Did you hear what I said about the expensive phone call?” He said yes he had. So why ignore me. Then he told me several times that it says clearly on the website that calls are charged. Well clearly it is not clear.
I would like to remind Damart of their vulnerability policy & since most of their customers are elderly they need to think carefully about how difficult it is to do business with them.
I did try to buy a different coat off the website but the offer code on the mini catalogue doesn’t work, I gave up.
In the economic climate at present you would think that a company would want to encourage customers.
Not picked parcel up for return…
Corrupt not picked parcel up for return was scheduled for Monday 8 September 2025 it now 7pm Tuesday evening 9 September 2025 and no sign of courier I did the chat but it keeps repeating it’s self it not god for their reputation
Ordered a bra which cost £33 I have…
Ordered a bra which cost £33 I have only worn it twice and the shoulder strap snapped at the stitching.
I sent them email explaining this had happened and was told that because I had ordered this in July and it was now August I had passed their months return policy. So they would not refund or replace item.
Told them I expected a bra to last longer than a month as the bra was not fit for purpose.
Now had advise from consumers team and sent a second email to Damart stating my rights.
Waiting for reply.
Very disappointed with this company’s polices.

My 1st time ordering from them because of their drop down delivery address my item never got delivered because I lived in a flat, I spoke to Damart on 4 occasions they were absolutely useless, after 10 days of waiting for a delivery which I never got I asked for a refund, I will never order anything from them again

Not happy to pay twice one for postage AND then again to Evri for the retern. This will loose sales and rightly so.
Damart should negotiate a better contract if using Everi.

I have bought from Damart for years and always been pleased with the items. My only real criticisms are the Damart labels they persist in stitching inside the necks and collars of their jumpers, jacket, sweaters etc. They irritate and rub the skin so I've had to resort to attempting to cut them off resulting in a small hole in the garment on more than one occasion. We all know the brand, so why the need to add this unnecessary label?
Skirt l would have loved
l have not ordered anything from Damart only because l tried several times online without fail. Rang and was directed to a mobile number that ‘couldn’t take the call right now’ reading the reviews best to avoid this site.

RIP off charges
Paid £36.29 for item which was returned via Royal Mail as per instructions. I received £29.31 in return? Why have I lost almost £7.00 in the transaction. Will certainly stop me from ordering from this company again.
Sharp Practice
1. Realising I had made a mistake in my on line order I immediately rang them - there is no facility to cancel on line as with other suppliers. I was told the order had not come through yet and to give it an hour. After nearly 2 hours I called and was told the order had been processed and could not be cancelled. Two of the 3 items arrived. VERY POOR QUALITY. I was charged £3.99 p&p and £2.99 returns.
2. The 3rd item is now on it's way and I am being charged another£3.99 p&p
I.e. £10.97 postage so far and possibly another £2.99 for return.
At the time I placed the order I was told that 2 of my 3rd item were in stock but the bill arrived saying out of stock.
I find this sharp practice .
When I rang them to discuss it they hung up on me!

Excellent material. Good fit value for money. Had a problem with evri delivery but phoned damart and it was immediately resolved. Very pleased with purchase and customer service.
Poor website for ordering. Not friendly at all
I attempted to order 2 items online using information from one of the catalogues Damart mailed me.
Just could not access the shoes I wanted using the item number, name and even description. Tried for 35 minutes and always got message “item not found”
Tried all sorts of combinations, but no.
I alway shop online and Damart is the only one I find problems with as the catalogue items do not appear to correspond to what is online.

I received mail from Damart with a offer of £15.00 off a sale over £25.00( before postage and packing). Tried to order a jacket at £44.95 discount code did not work. I sent a email yesterday, got one back today. The wording was so condescending, I had to reply. I will remain a non returning customer
Too much hassle
I have been trying to order 2 items for 2 days. Every time I do search with the code they quote, it says, for both items, 'we have no such item'. Terrible website, not going bother with them, take my custom elsewhere. Glad I read some of these reviews
No Customer Care
The size of this company and they use a premium telephone number for customers to make calls, to their customer service department. What a greedy company they are. No customer care here. I had to phone, as part of my order, has not been delivered. I spent 48 pence to be told it takes 14 days for delivery and was dispatched on the 14/8/23. She never checked with the delivery company to see where the parcel was or what has happened to it, to give me an update. (As it is an EVRI delivery). I have had no emails regarding this order therefore cannot track it on the EVRI website. Definitely not a company I would recommend.

Do not order from this company, you have to pay for returns then when you haven't received a refund or notification of receipt you get charged £5.38 to call them and ask for your refund, WHAT A RIP OFF. Just don't bother.
Unacceptable Service
I tried to order a jumper from Damart online,the stock was advertised new and available. My order was accepted and verification code details of my banking details were logged and accepted. Upon checking progress of my order online it stated it was being processed. After a couple of days as there was no confirmation by email I phoned Damart direct. I was assured it was available but they were waiting for arrival of stock. I then asked, why does it say the order was being processed when no stock was available, the person replied he didn't know but assured me my order would be sent to me as soon as stock arrived. I heard nothing else checked my online order account a couple of days later to find it had been cancelled. Phoned yet again, at no point did Damart make contact by post or email. I was told that that jumper was now no longer available. Which is strange because on their website is classed as a new arrival. My gripe with Damart is firstly, advertising stock as a new arrival and not having the stock in. Secondly It was not bought to my attention at any time that they did not have the stock in and my order had been cancelled. There was complete lack of acknowlegement or communication. I had to phone Damart and do all the chasing. Plus the fact of disappointment of not receiving the jumper that was actually advertised in Sunday supplement the previous day before I ordered it. Shall not be ordering from this company again.

Appalling lack of communication from Damart
I ordered a pyjama set on 12th December. was told it was on its way. A message on 14th December said there would be a 'short delay' with no further details. I chased up the order just now to be told casually that it was out of stock and I would have to wait 3-4 weeks. That's not a short delay and it was a Christmas present. Appalling lack of communication. Will not be ordering from Damart again
