I have completed property purchase at the end of 2022 year and Ann Davies Conveyancing Executive from Davey Law (Gloucester branch) was looking after whole transaction. Ann was very professional all the way through the process. She was continuously keeping in touch via emails and post with updates/documents and when on holiday organised cover to deal with essential correspondence (also approachable in person in her office when needed). She was very informative, dealing with all my queries promptly from the beginning to the end, with no jargon to ensure my understanding, answering my questions precisely straight away. If required, she efficiently chased other side solicitor to find out all relevant answers so nothing was missed/left unclear. Transaction was processed quickly without any delays.

THINK TWICE BEFORE ENGAGING. I am very dissatisfied with the service received from the property department at Davey Law - i am disatisfied with the initial advice i was given (which i was required to get a 2nd opinion on), the way my case was drawn out when i believe it could have been settled much more quickly and above all i am unhappy with the fees that escalated from an initial quote of £550 to over £8000. Part of these fees were covered by the other party - but they refused to pay all the fees as they considered them unreasonably high. I am also hugely disatisfied with the in-house complaints procedure - and am strongly considering taking the matter to the Legal Ombudsman who i believe will take a very dim view of what went on which i believe borders on malpractice. I have requested the solicitors timesheets to back up the fees charged but so far my request has not been responded and over a week has passed.

I have used Davey Law multiple times for both buying and selling of a property. Each time I had Ann who was excellent and a pleasure to work with. Everything was provided such as prompt responses, frequent updates when necessary, effecient action to anything requiring attention, and was all around friendly and easy to work with.

I don't have anything negative to say from both experiences and would use Davey Law again, and recommend to others.
