Worst train service I have seen ever in…

Worst train service I have seen ever in europe and possibly outside of europe as well. Trains are more often than not delayed and many times are simply cancelled. Staff is generally very rude and does not provide reliable information. App full of bugs and unreliable . Travelling with DB gives me anxiety

An absolute disaster

An absolute disaster! If you don't want to age faster (due to stress) and lose valuable time - then avoid Deutsche Bahn. Regular delays! Cancellations! And far too expensive for this service. I can understand why the German car industry works so well - there is no modern alternative here.

The worse customer service ever.

The worse customer service ever.
Plans made months in advance for an international trip, and DB, as of now cancelled 4 of 5 trips.
What’s just as bad is attempting to get compensation.. the online system keeps saying I cannot claim until after departure.. which was days ago.
Do not book with DB

I don’t even know where to begin

I don’t even know where to begin. What an unreliable and waste of public transport the DB is. It truly ruined a whole weekend for us because of all the delayed trains AND of trains that are canceled for whatever reasons. And as I read of so many other complaints the DB should be ashamed of themselves. If Germany wants to do something with their money, it would absolutely be good to put it in the improvement of public transport, because it surely gives a scheitz reputation.

Cancelled trains and no contact

Bought tickets, then kept getting mails about our trains being cancelled. Then we wanted a refund and tried to get in contact by phone I've been waiting in line in total 4 hours to try to talk with an employee without luck. Then online it says you have to send a physical letter!!! in 2024!!! and get a respond by letter back??? will never recommend buying tickets from DB

First class ticket, but no seat available

Yet again a DB experience. I bought a first class ticket from Berlin to Basel. When the train finally arrived at its starting point Berlin HBF with a 40 min delay we were informed that not enough seats were available for everyone. After hours of walking up and down the isles, looking for a free seat, we are now half way through the 7h journey. Losing hope for betterment I and many others have taken seats in the hallway surrounding the bathrooms. Whenever someone comes we must move and make space. Luckily the bathroom is out of order and doesnt smell.
Two stars instead of one, because they do a good job with their digital presence.

Take the bus!

A national discrase always late we're going to miss our connection. There's no excuse a hot summer day perfect weather conditions. Perhaps a change in the upper management. A few firings could certainly lead to improvement.

A night train, lid like the day

It's incredible how bad this company is.
They offer night train, but the light in the wagon are at the maximum, the speaker of the train master is extremely loud, there is no possibility of a couchette. Impossible to get a couple of hours of sleep.
Someone might hope that at the least the price is competitive, but is one of the highest price paid in Europe.
Speed is not even a concern for them, never experienced an high speed train so slow, takes almost 6h journey to just make a 400 km journey.
They think so high of their service but this is a third world country service offering.
Competition and comfort are not in their company description and mission

The company put a bus stop in front of a hotel in the Netherlands. Passengers are throwing away all kinds of garbage in front of the hotel. I will remove the bus stop because it's ridiculous. Also waiting an hour and 21 minutes on the phone but they don't bother to answer.

Worst train company ever

Worst train company ever, it should be rated with 0 stars if it was possible!
Always late, trains are in poor condition, there isn’t a customer service and they asked me to pay again for my ticket. So embarrassing!!!

Absolute embarrassment

Taking the train from Copenhagen to Hamburg. After 20 min the train stops. After another 20 min message over speakers: "We have unfortunately gotten such a s h i t t y train that we need to cancel it and everyone needs to get off at the next train station".

Yes, the Danish train conductor just says it as it is. It's crap!
Please just stop putting in German trains on this route and go back to Danish trains as before. They actually work.

They cancelled my train that I booked a month in advance
The train was supposed to leave at 12
They moved me to the 4:00 Pm train then them the 4:00 pm is late 100 min extra. So the 6hours trip will be 12.
Non of the employees was helpful everyone extremely rude and they have the audacity to call that a business.
And the best thing they do is to give 50% refund.
Please keep the money and make the train come and leave at time
I have no idea how this business is still working what a joke.

Terrible experience with DB

We had a terrible experience with DB today. We booked train tickets with bicycle reservations on the DB website months ago. The ticket included the carriage number for the bicycle spaces. At Stuttgart, we went to that carriage (21) of the 11.53 ICE train 918 and it was an ordinary carriage. No bicycle spaces. There was no time to look for a different carriage so we got on the train with the bicycles and stood with them near the doors. The train guard arrived and told us we were not allowed to stand there with bicycles. We showed her the ticket with bicycle space reservation for that carriage. She said she would look for a carriage with space for bicycles. She came back and said at the next station, Mannheim, we must get out and move to carriage 35. We questioned if there would be enough time to move the bikes so far down the platform as it was a very long train. She said, the station staff knew and would keep the train until we reboarded. We got off the train and we ran down the platform with our bikes. We saw the station guard and he said the train is going now. We tried to explain that we were on the train and were told to move to another carriage but he wouldn’t listen, just shouted at us and the train left without us. This train was the second of 5 we had carefully planned with 30 mins transfer time between each train, to get to The Hague. Another station guard worked out a new journey but with insufficient transfer times. We will arrive at best 2 hours late. We did everything right, arrived at Stuttgart early, checked where the carriage we needed would be on the platform. DB really let us down badly. We are very angry that the train guard told us to get off, promising us we could re board the the train which was not true. The station guard was very unreasonable. We will feel very nervous about travelling with bikes on DB again.
