Discount Carpet Warehouse - avoid it
This is a carpet shop in Meanwood, Leeds, UK (not the United States).
I recently purchased a carpet for my stairs, landing, and hallway. I asked for a price to include fitting and the guy came out the same day to measure up. He phoned me the following day with a price and I told him to go ahead with it. He told me it would be a few days for fitting as he had to order the carpet (which was fair).
When it came to the day of fitting, the fitters did everything but the hallway as they weren't told about it by Discount Carpet Warehouse but they kindly came back the following day with some more carpet to finish the job. The carpet fitter asked me if I'd paid for the fitting, which I thought I had, but the guy at Discount Carpet Warehouse said that it wasn't included in the price and I had to pay the fitter directly another £120. I spoke to the guy at Discount Carpet Warehouse, and he told me that it stated this on the invoice, which I hadn't received because I paid over the phone.
Be extremely careful purchasing anything from Discount Carpet Warehouse as they will try to fob you off with prolonged fitting times and they won't disclose important information like extra costs for fitting.
