I have a few products from DD now, travel hammock and bivvy, a few tarps and a mesh tent, all of which are great quality especially for the money. The service is excellent and friendly and I definitely recommend purchasing from DD.

As a Canadian (one time) customer I was floored to find out that FedEx would not deliver until I paid them what amounted to 37% of the total amount of the order from DD for taxes, duties and their internal costs ( ROD ). I fully understood GST/PST was not charged by the vendor and I would have to pay that. I think DD should do a better job of informing international customers the average value of duties levied on their products. Also they should find another courier other than FedEx, who charges everyone who does not have an existing FedEx Express account with them a ROD fee. Royal Mail Services would have gotten the parcel here in about the same time.

I have been contacted by DD Hammock and discussed these two issues and they graciously refunded the FEDEX and duty charges on my order. I have had equipment and/or parts shipped to Canada from the U.K., France, Italy all in the last 3 months and this order was the first time experiencing the costs that FEDEX and duties levied.
I maintain a choice of shipment methods would be beneficial to avoid ROD charges like those of FEDEX. The duties between the UK/EU and Canada are new to me. Other companies must have these in their pricing or they are minimal and covered via their shipping charges.
I will give 5 stars to DD Hammock customer service on how they handled this issue. Not just because of the refund, but their emails and the person to person contact via phone is a rarity these days.

Fast delivery and as always top quality kit

I have never had an issue with DD Hammocks. In fact the last order I made was a one day delivery which amazed me. I now have 3 tarps and a hammock and all products are great.

After trying a few other hammocks I'm now the proud owner of a front line xl and I have been very impressed with the size comfort and quality of it I have added the whoopie strings and tree straps along with the 3.5m tarp now the whole set up is perfect and can't see me changing any time soon. I would also like to add that my missus got me the tarp and received excellent support and guidance from the team

Having ordered a large super light tarp as a Christmas present and then on receipt realising it was way to big, I telephoned DD Hammocks and let them know that I would like to return the Tarp, however, that I would like to add more to the new choice of order, the response from DD and the process could not have been more efficient. The company even came back with specific advice for the size of tarp that would go with the additional hammock I had ordered, the returns process and additional order process was excellent. This company made ordering and returning items, along with the professional advice the best online shopping experience I've had for a long time. I’ve got multiple products and all still going strong. I was sent the wrong colour of a product I purchased and they immediately sent me out the correct one and told me to keep both. Great service and great gear.

DD always provides excellent service. The quality of the items are superb and I regularly recommend their products to my fellow campers and outdoors enthusiasts. The customer service team has also gone out its way to assist me in the past too.

Over the years using DD, I have purchased most of their items and have never had fault, I am particularly fond of my 3.5m tarp and hammock. So much so I recently brought again.

I'd also say, their underblankets are excellent too. I recently used it (with a third party winter sleeping bag) at 3 days at nights of - 3c and was very warm all night.

My partner and I have been using these hammocks for either intertnationl or domestic travels and adventures... they're just great! According to the season we choose which one is more suitable but, in the end, the one we're using the most is the Jungle SuperLight... very versatile!

Fantastic service again from DD Hammocks. My order was placed at 14:50 and arrived the next morning at 10:30. This was with the standard free delivery. Absolutely excellent service and not for the first time!

Fantastic product. Joe and Caroline were extremely helpful in answering questions. I am in the US, and ordering from the UK was a breeze, free fast shipping, the Hammock arrived in 4 days.

After making an account an ordering from dd Hammocks I can honestly say this company has greay products, amazing customer service that our second to none with a great friendly and helpful approach to all there customers, I would highly recommend and for camping gear there is no other, this is the only company I go to for my needs, highly recommend and should be the first thought when thinking of camping products, this is my honest review.
