I ordered a table lamp and shade online, there was some delay and some confusion over delivery however it was ironed out and I’m highly delighted with my lamp.

I bought two silk lampshades online from Decor. The arrived promptly, exactly as described, in perfect condition. I had a phone call hours after ordering telling me when to expect delivery - good, old fashioned service! Highly recommended.

Excellent choices on site. Ordered a beautiful light, received a phone call to say item would be delivered on Monday, actually arrived earlier, on the Saturday. I ordered the item on a Friday morning. That's what I call amazing service. The packaging was secure, and everything intact.

I bought two Empire silk pleated lampshades (30cms and 35 cms diameter across lower rim) suitable for table lamps. The colour shade "honey" gives a soft glowing light, and good light emission through the silk.
There are small natural irregularities - slubs - in the silk, which do not trouble me. The company has a wide range of well-made shades in different fabrics.
A challenge now will be to keep flies off the silk on Summer evenings in the countryside as the fabric will not be easy to keep clean, apart from brushing with a baby's hair brush. It is as well to know what size shade to buy for a table lamp - too small and it will look like a silly hat; too large will be top heavy and swamped. I found that the 35 cm shade was exactly what I needed for a tall lamp measuring 42 cms from the table to the top of the electric light fitting.
My orders were made on 2 dates a few days apart. Both were delivered within two days, securely wrapped and boxed with no damage.
