The WORST inflight crew
I took a delta flight out of Nebraska to Atlanta. I got food poisoning from airport food and started getting sick about 30 mins into flight. I had to go the the restroom as an emergency 😩 they had just started doing the snacks and drinks so were at end of the aisle they could have easily let me pass but instead made me wait over 20 mins standing there even when I explained it was an emergency. I was pale white, clammy, sweating breathing hard, audibly and visually distressed. As I walk by the male flight attendant says “I love when I can do that” to the female flight attendant smirking and smiling at me like total AHs.
All airlines treat us like burdens and cattle - I’m not paying a premium for Delta to do that as well.

Absolutely appalling customer service and complaints handling. We were left without our case for over 32 hours, and it was only returned after persistent chasing on our part, at additional personal cost. To make matters worse, the case arrived damaged.
What is most concerning is the complete lack of transparency and accountability throughout the complaints process. The company repeatedly referred to its “policy”, contract of carriage, and tariffs, yet failed to actually provide the relevant policy details when requested. My request for information regarding your escalation or complaints review procedure was entirely ignored and dismissed.
I specifically asked for clear information on the next steps available to me, including any internal escalation process, independent review body, or alternative dispute resolution scheme applicable to this matter. Instead, I received a generic response stating the case was under “final determination” and that any further correspondence would simply be kept on file.
Closing a complaint without properly addressing the issues raised or providing details of the review and escalation process is unacceptable. The way customers are treated, particularly after experiencing loss, delays, damage, and additional expense, is outrageous. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before trusting this company with their luggage or relying on their customer service.

BEST AIRLINE EVER! Delta's in-flight service is so good. I mean, what airline gives you THREE DRINK SERVICES IN THEIR SHORT-HAUL ECONOMY CLASS? And not to mention their garentied in-flight entertainment (IFE), even on short-haul flight.
Worst airline ever
If I could give zero stars I would. They borded us and.had us wait inside the plane for over an hour.causing multiple people to have their flight re booked. My 4 hour flight turned into a nightmare not only was I delayed one time but two. I had to catch 3 planes and every plane had delays. This was the worst flying experience ever. I will never fly delta again.
Excellent customer service online
I flew with Delta for the first time this year and the experience was not ideal. Our flight was cancelled whilst we sat on the runway for 3 hours with no water, no lights and no food. We returned to the terminal and were being passed around with no information apart from the fact that we will be put up overnight with a new flight being set for the next day. Upon arrival at the airport, no flight was departing to our destination and we were passed around between multiple gates and staff, only to find out that there was no 'special' flight and that we had been put on a flight to a different state later that day. No communication came to us via email which was appalling. Despite this, the customer service through Delta's website has been absolutely fantastic. The responses are very quick and they have been generous in their compensation. All of the staff I have dealt with have been very helpful and they even provided me with 'confirmation' style emails with my new flight details (as per my request) so that I can claim on my travel insurance. Although I may not use Delta again, I would praise the staff I have dealt with post-issue.
Nightmare on Delta - 3 flights you’re OUT!
I am currently on my 3rd flight with Delta in 2 days. The first flight from Orlando to Atlanta was awful! We boarded and then sat in the heat of the airplane for an hour! The power went out and we sat while they repaired the problem. Finally arrived in Atlanta and had to RUN to our connecting flight that boarded on time. We made the flight. We sat on the plane for almost an hour before taking off, again maintence issues. We are finally taking off to Barcelona where our kids that flew on United with No delays or issues. About 1 - 1/2 hours into the flight we are told we will have to return to Atlanta where another plane is waiting for us to board. We arrive, deplane and sit at the next gate for 45 minutes and then told our flight is cancelled. They rebooked us for that evening at 8 pm as it’s now 1 am in the morning. We had to walk from Terminal E to where the Hotel busses would take us to one of the hotels that Delta covered. We chose the Hilton and just wanted to sleep as it’s now 3 am. We get to the hotel and the line was 30 people deep with only one person at the front desk. We were all told we would be given our same seats that we purchased. That wasn’t true. We had to again stand in line to ask for seating assistance as the app wouldn’t allow us to select seats. My husband and I are currently sitting on a fully loaded plane and have been since 7:15 when we boarded. It’s now 8:41 and we haven’t moved. At least we do have air this time. I am honestly so shocked by this airline that I thought was the best of the best! Honestly I’ve experienced more reliability on Frontier and Allegient than Delta. The planes are large but the aisles are so small you can barely walk your carryon in the aisles. If I make it to Barcelona, I will have to fly with them back to Orlando but will try hard to never fly with them again. Worst experience ever. I’ve now missed a full day and night with our kids and grandkids and that is inexcusable! Fix your planes Delta before allowing people to pay for your flights and make sure you buy insurance because there is a good chance your plans will be cancelled thanks to an airline that lacks maintenance and doesn’t care about the people that pay to fly with them! Never again Delta!

No common sense
Small regional airport. Show up 35 minutes before flight. Place is empty. They won't let me check my bag. Apparently they stop checking bags 45 minutes before departure. There was plenty of time. Common sense would have been to just get it done. So much for diamond"status." The skymiles program gets worse every year. I'll probably go back to chase Sapphire card.

I was clearly authorized to travel with my cats — confirmed in advance by your team. I followed all procedures and relied on that information in good faith.
At the airport, I was told there was NO RECORD of any approval, and the situation was not properly handled.
This is a serious failure: How can a service be confirmed and then simply “disappear” from your system when the passenger needs it most?
If your representatives provide information that cannot be verified later, how are customers supposed to trust your process?
This caused stress, disruption, and risk for my animals, despite me doing everything correctly beforehand.
I have all documentation and evidence that contradicts what I was told at the airport.

Rude Flight Attendant and Zero Customer Care
I had a very frustrating experience on Delta 2710 from Toronto to Atlanta.
My ticket included a carry-on, but during boarding I was told my bag had to be checked due to “no overhead space.” This was especially stressful because I had a connecting flight and my carry-on contained fragile items that were not packed for checked baggage.
I asked for a fragile sticker and was told they didn’t have any. After boarding, I could clearly see there was still plenty of space in the overhead bins. I asked the flight attendant if I could retrieve my carry-on, but she refused and said she would not move anything to accommodate me.
When I tried to explain that I had specifically asked about this before agreeing to check my bag, the situation escalated. Instead of helping, the flight attendant warned that if I “kept complaining,” I could be removed from the flight. That response felt unnecessary and unprofessional.
All I was asking for was basic consideration for fragile items and consistent information. Being told “if it’s damaged, just file a claim” is not acceptable when the situation could have been avoided.
Overall, this was a disappointing experience with poor communication and lack of customer care.

The problem was when I was placed into another flight and at the moment I had to check in again (I had to get my luggage, exit and re enter again) I was told I had to pay for my luggage when in the first flight I bought I have already paid for my luggage. I paid twice for luggage when I’ve already paid. The delta employee told me to contact Delta so i could get a refund. I emailed Delta and I was told in order for them to refund me I needed the physical receipt. I trashed the receipt and I didn’t have it. Showed up 3 hours early for a flight from SAN to AMS. While waiting in San Diego at 9 am pst we got notified our 9pm cst flight to Amsterdam was delayed. No explanation just delayed 10 hours before scheduled. Landed in MSP and told 2 hour delay, then texts every half hour or so adding to the delay. At 2am cst we were the only people in the airport, plane at the gate and then CANCELLED. No explanation just BS. Lost a night of prepaid accommodations, had to eat at an overpriced airport restaurant, pay to get into the Delta Lounge. Out of pocket $575! They want to give us $72 only. Total BS. Lost almost a day in AMS and still no explanation for why they had us sit at the airport for almost 10 hours to send us to a hotel at 2:30 am. Extremely disappointed with their customer service and communication. This will be my LAST flight as a long time Delta supporter!
