I have bought parts for my Polaris utv years ago, no problems. My complaint is my information that was connected with DK.com on the dark webb. They sold my info according to the Lifelock notice I received. NOT GOOD AT ALL, MIGHT BE WHY I WAS HACKED THIS PAST WEEK, maybe a coincidence????????

They show availability on things they do not have on hand. Example- Overpants that nobody else showed having a specific size on hand, DK showed as available only to find out a week later and only after contacting them for status that the pants are on back order until next year. I canceled my order

Very Disappointed Customer

I have spent thousands of dollars with Dennis Kirk and never had an issue until this last purchase. I bought a set of Love Jugs and installed them, but they didn’t cool my engine down as advertised. I repackaged them and sent them back, undamaged in perfect condition. They charged me 20% on my refund. Also I paid $106 for overnight delivery and it took 5 days for them to get to me. So 220 dollars down the drain. I will not be buying parts through Dennis Kirk anymore.

They shipped me wrong parts and then…

They shipped me wrong parts and then stated would send the correct ones overnight UPS on Thursday for Friday delivery but then UPS stated it would be Monday and Dennis Kirk Customer Service is blaming UPS.
I took old pipes off, and they broke upon removal and I was supposed lead a club ride to Louisiana on Monday but had to cancel my trip due to Dennis Kirk in ability to ship correct parts and not me not having any pipes to put on
Plus, I had to take old parts to a UPS store and return at my costs of time and fuel.
NEVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE HORRIBLE. TAKE YOUR MONEY AND WILL NOT ASSIST YOU.
I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY PIPES DELIVERED FROM UPS AND DENNIS KIRK CUSTOMER SRVICE STOPPED COMMUNICATING.

The parts were shipped next day air and scanned by UPS on Thursday as you can clearly see on their tracking number. We are sorry the shipping didn't work out, we tried

Phantom customer service!!!

Phantom customer service! I sent two emails asking for information on items I had already put in my cart and was ready to buy. No response! Obviously, they don't care about customers buying from them. Fine, I'll go spend my $5,000 elsewhere!
UPDATE: Wow... How strange! Right after my terrible review, customer service contacted me!
UPDATE 2: Okay, shall we trust what the supplier has written? We will try placing a first order, perhaps smaller than expected, and then if everything goes well, we will place a larger order. Updates will follow!

Didn’t honor price match policy

Dennis Kirk advertises that they have a price match policy but when I called to get a price match for an order I was about to place, the rep told me that they do not price match on items under $100. My order would have been $143 after price match but rep claimed in had to all be one item and I was ordering two of the same thing (exhaust baffles). All other online vendors have a cutoff at $50. The lady was none too friendly either. Acted like she was being put out to help me.

I have ordered a lot of parts from Dennis Kirk in the past but never again. Based on the reply they don’t seen to care that they lost my business forever.

It is clearly stated all over the Dennis Kirk website "What is "Beat It By A Buck"?
You may know that Dennis Kirk guarantees the lowest price on tires, helmets, complete exhaust systems, tracks, engines, frames and transmissions. But now we also guarantee the lowest price on ANYTHING over $100"

$70 restocking fee charged for removing the protective film on the visor during fitting

I purchased a Shoei helmet from the retailer. Upon receiving it, I reviewed the return policy on the order form so that I could adhere to their terms. Nowhere on the form did it mention that the film on the visor should not be removed or there would be a 10% restocking fee.

So I proceeded to remove the film so that a proper field of vision test could be done. I wear glasses and liked to make sure that "all's well" and that nothing was obstructed before keeping the helmet. Fortunately, the field of vision was great. Unfortunately, the helmet fit was too tight on the top of my head, even though it's the same size as my previous helmet from Shoei.

I tried to put the film back on the visor with the intention to protect it during transportation back to DK. Everything was packed up as carefully as I could.

After they received the package, according to DK, packing was "sloppy". Their customer rep also informed me that there would be a restocking charge of 10% or approx. $70 since the film was removed. And, that it's non-negotiable.

During the conversation with DK's customer rep, there were feelings of shame and frustration, I was belittled and talked down to. The rep asked, "would you pay full price for a helmet with the visor film removed?" Well, that depends if the visor was damaged in any way without the film.

Helmet is a tricky item to purchase from afar. This experience basically taught me to simply go to my local shop, even if it's 90 minutes away. Support your local business and be cautious of B2C arm of a brick and mortar shop like DK as it does not understand that business should be conducted with transparency and respect of customers.

Old tires sold as "New"

I ordered 2 supposedly new tires from Dennis Kirk. They showed up fast. The front tire is fine but the rear tire has a manufacture date of MORE than 1.5 years ago. I have never accepted a tire that was sold as "NEW" more than 6 months old. Called customer service and was rudely told there is nothing they can do. Next stop is BBB. Never buy from this company. I have another motorcycle I need tires and parts for and I will never spend another cent at Dennis twerp.

Dennis Kirk goes by all manufacturer guidelines on age and storage of tires. Tires stored in climate controlled warehouses can be sold for up to 5 years of the date code and can be used on the motorcycle for up to 10 years or more of the date code. 1.5 years is still considered a fresh tire by the manufacturers. Here is a quote directly from Dunlop MC Division "Our group tells our customers that we would suggest not to mount a tire after 5 years as per the date code. After 5 years, once the tire is on the bike, check it yearly for signs of extreme ageing, and remove it if you see anything that gives you cause for concern. Remove the tire due to age at 10 years, no matter what it looks like.

Regards,

Dave Johnson
Consumer Affairs, Motorcycle
Goodyear Dunlop Tires North America, Ltd" Unfortunately in todays world of internet, people see things online about tire age that was created on internet forums by non-professionals and take it at its word. Here is another expert example- "Another misconception on the date code is you should only buy tires that have a DOT code within the current year. This is not true. As long as they are stored properly, tires have an average shelf life of five years and remain fit for purchase despite being manufactured many months ago.

Ordered a pair of factory 47…

Ordered a pair of factory 47 handlebars. They sent me the wrong ones. She asked me what the sticker was on the packaging which was correct, but the bars were completely different. Didn’t really make an effort to make it right just pretty much offered to refund. If this one was Stickered wrong they all would be. Not really sure why they couldn’t physically check before sending ended up just ordering from factory 47. Will never use this company again

We are sorry you got the wrong bars. We didnt have another pair of these in stock to check and mispacks are very uncommon with Factory 47.We do not open factory packaging to inspect them when received as then all of our items would be open box items. The quality control is on the manufacturers end.

Bad Bad Company. Did I say Bad?

Used their on line system and entered the Make year and model to order chrome lower belt guard for my motorcycle. Ordered the part and they sent the one I ordered however it was incorrect. Call and spoke to the Women who handles this and she denied that the system did not happen. I used their app 3 times a it came up with the wrong part every time. Besides the wrong part selection using their app she was a nasty Twit. Very bad company to do business with. I recommend that you do not deal with this company I for sure will not. PS I have been buying Motorcycle part for 40 years and this was the worst customer service I have ever received . First time dealing with them, strike one Dennis Kirk your out!

The customer was inadvertently shutting off his ride when searching for the lower belt guard. When you use the search function, it gives you the option to search for the selected ride or to search all results. The part the customer ordered was never listed for his bike. We are sorry this customer received the wrong item.

The customer placed an order in December and ordered a set of 20% off cables that were incorrect for the machine. The customer was sent exactly what was ordered. When the customer realized this 2 months later, he wanted the same price which we were unable to do because it was not the same kit. This was not a mispack or a wrong part, it was as ordered but not for his machine. We did waive the customers shipping back to us as a courtesy

I spent $700 on an S&S super E mini carb for my Harley a month ago. I've been running the motorcycle every day. Last night the carb leaked gas all over my garage thru the carb overflow tube. I contacted Dennis Kirk to see what they would do about it since it was $700 and only a month old. They never replied to my request
I finally spoke with Dennis Kirk company and basically they told me to reach out to S&S so they were no help. There are MANY complaints on the S&S carburetors but places like Dennis Kirk continues to sell the junk and not able to help with anything. All S&S told me was to rebuild the NEW carburetor. Needless to say huge waste of $700
