Superb advice on consumer law issue
Having had a rather unpleasant experience with an expensive bespoke tailor-made item which was supposed to be, and sold as, waterproof, but which leaked badly at the first sign of rain, I rejected the item within 30 days of its delivery as not fit for its purpose and not of satisfactory quality. The manufacturer vigorously defended its product and I knew I had a stressful fight on my hands to get a refund.
