Door Bolt just right for short lady
I have had various bits of door furniture from Direct Doors. All have been of a high quality and delivered promptly and well packaged. My most recent purchase was a special door bolt with a long lever that allows me (short lady!) to reach it without standing on something - hooray! Very good range to choose from and couldn't find a similar bolt anywhere else. Thanks
Misleadingly stating free delivery ***
I found the customer journey on the website misleading and this put my off ordering. My customer service interaction was also disappointing. I was ordering a product and when reviewing my basket they state “includes VAT of xx and free delivery (if applicable) in most UK postcodes.” With free delivery highlighted in red. It’s sums up the total of my order and took me through to Paypal to complete the transaction. After this I’m taken back and informed there’s an £11 delivery charge which I actually thought was expensive for the item I was purchasing. I informed customer service that I thought this was misleading and a horrible customer journey. They should be more careful of stating free delivery (if applicable) when it only applies to doors - they should clearly state free delivery on doors. And be more upfront about giving you a delivery charge so you know what you are paying before going through to approve payment.
I appreciate it states it only applies to doors on the website, but I clicked through directly to the product from google and didn't spend much time on everything else they state on the website. I read the information put in front of me as interacted with the website, which is misleading. I ended up going to a competitor that charged 48% less for the product including shipping, so all in all I am happy I didn't overpay by using directdoors

Great service
Items ordered arrived as expected in a few days great service
Good delivery time and nice door
Top Job
Communication is brilliant. They double checked the order with myself before processing. Delivery was efficient. Seamless operation! Well done and thank you
Excellent quick service and high quality product …
Excellent quick service and high quality product - it is 5 stars from me and I would definitely buy from DirectDoors again.
Poor quality paint doesn't last
Am writing 2 years post installation of doors. Despite the first set of 4 bar Soho black glazed doors being delivered and having several poor quality faults, the company was good and replaced them (with a wrong size first of course - does anybody get anything correct anymore?).
So customer service wise it was a battle but they did do as we asked. However my gripe is with the quality of the actual doors that where my children use the door to pull shut rather than the handle - all the varnish/ gloss of the paint has worn off in one patch leaving an obvious discolouration. So although they look good to start with, it is really poor quality paint that's sprayed over that wears off after very little time leaving us to now have to repaint. So considering we spent nearly £3k on our doors I wouldn't recommend for longevity.
Damaged goods, poor customer service
We ordered an internal door and the corresponding subframe/lining kit from DirectDoors for a refurb in our retail premises. One package arrived which we KEPT SAFE and enquired after the rest of our goods, "It's quite normal for these to arrive seperately"I was told ...fair enough, the second package arrived two days later. We opened the packs to begin installation and discovered that the door was badly chipped. There was no such damage to the packing, so this MUST have occurred prior to delivery. When I phoned to ask for an exchange or refund, I was met with the standard reverberation "Damage to goods must be reported within 24 hours", no concessions! Do your goods cease to be damaged after 24 hours then?...NO. Does our money remain in your account after 24 hours?...YES! If it is 'normal' for corresponding items to be delivered MORE THAN 24 HOURS APART the no concessions, one day damage policy falls down, which is very convenient for DirectDoors but not for their customers! We are a small successful business operating in Pimlico and pride ourselves on conscientious customer care, both before AND after money has been exchanged, unfortunately ignorant, throw it off the factory line service like this is becoming very typical, I'll certainly be crossing DirectDoors off my list of reliable suppliers.

Great customer service and product quality
Direct Doors provided an excellent standard of service ... we needed to order an additional item and it came the next morning. Emma was always very responsive to my many questions - I would not hesitate to use them again.
Poor after sales customer service
I ordered two soho black glass doors from Direct Doors, along with a pair maker, four handles and a ball latch and locking bolts.
The pair maker was supplied in a different shade of black, and started splintering at the point at which the doors close soon after being installed.
Additionally one of the handles was supplied without screws to attach it to the door.
Upon raising a request for some form of compensation or reconciliation the sum total was the offer to send out two screws for the door handle. We also requested to return the locking bolts.
I was disappointed with the poor build quality of the pair maker, and did not view the request for compensation as unreasonable given the sum of money we had paid for the doors.
There was no offer forthcoming, and the company declined to waive the £16 charge just to return the locking bolts.
I would advise fellow customers to buy from anywhere else but Direct Doors. The doors themselves are good quality, but if you find yourself in a situation in which something is wrong they have no desire to reach a mutually beneficial accommodation. A company which places no value whatsoever on customer satisfaction or loyalty.

Great communication
I was fitting a door and found the needed dimensions and hardware with no issues despite trying my usual suppliers who could not provide the product I was looking for.
They set up the trade account and discount very quickly. Communication regarding delivery was great, the customer is very happy with what was supplied. Would definitely use this company again and recommend.
No Common sense
We ordered three doors in May and checked the packaging which was all in good order and then stored them flat and dry. We unpacked them a few days ago, July, and one door had serious water damage, which must have been done before they were wrapped in plastic. I understand this is not covered by DD terms and conditions but now and then common sense has to prevail. Won't be ordering any more doors. Phil

Excellent customer service
Ordered a set of oak double pocket doors from doors direct. The price was competitive, they arrived on time and were of good quality. I will admit that the instructions to fit the pocket doors were pretty basic with limited video instructions online. This is no fault of direct doors but an issue with their third party supplier.
Due to an issue with the builders, we didn't get around to installing the pocket doors until about 3 months after delivery. It was then when we noticed damage to one of the flush handles and, even though they clearly state that any damage should be reported within 24 hours of delivery, one quick email to customer servies and a pair of replacement handles arrived the next day. Can't fault that.
Good quality door at a great price.
Got a good quality Mahogany door at a very good price. Delivery and contact before delivery was excellent and the brass fittings received were top quality.
I will be using them for my back door when I am ready.
Great Post Sales Service (after all)
My order took some time to be delivered and first delivery scheduled was missed without any notice by the company. When it was delivered, it came at a much earlier time than I had requested. It would seem that Direct Doors uses a rubbish delivery courier who cannot even help place the heavy glass door inside the door, merely a few inches away. Sullen and rude ! In its packaging now, it already looks warped in the middle.
Having had further experience with Direct Doors (12/7/23) , this time with a return as I had mistakenly chosen a wrong sized door, I am now reviewing my previous comments and would like to compliment Claira for solving my problems with the returns. Firstly I was over the returns policy but they overlooked this for my sake and Claira went a step further to help organise a collection of my return which was very much appreciated as it was not easy to find a courier service for this big item.
I will be ordering a replacement door of a smaller size once this is in stock. Thank you, Claira !!

Very impressed
Excellent service. The driver phoned the day before and gave me an exact delivery time (having checked this was ok with me), arrived on time and was really helpful and pleasant.
Easy to use site
Easy to use site. Found exactly the matching internal door handle even though it was 9 years after we bought the originals.
Great product does what it says 👍
doors warped > 6mm - Full Refund
2 custom made doors for a Pocket Door system that took 9 weeks to arrive came warped by more than 10mm each and so far the company has only offered to replace one of the doors. Both doors cannot fit and even if they could fit would look totally out of place. The doors cannot be "fixed" as company claims and the offer of replacing one door makes no sense. Only a full refund is acceptable which so far has not been offered.
9 May UPDATE
Direct Doors have agreed to a full refund. I have made alternative arrangments to source the doors. So back in funds but 8 weeks behind schedule! moved from one star to 3 star.
