Travelling to England.

We’ve used the service many times, we find it to be our finest choice when travelling to England. We board in holland in the evening and after a normal night’s sleep we leave the boat feeling fresh and ready to drive to our destination.

Hello

Hello, Maybe i'm a little early with this response.
We still have to take the ferry from Hirthals to Kristiansand, and 3 weeks later back to Hirthals.
As it is our first time going to Norway, it took a little effort to figure out who is offering the ferryservice but the common site is verry helpfull.

Its a scam

First confusing site about the harbor. You ask for Formia, they direct you to Terracina. Pricing not clear, halfway your booking it becomes a lot more and almost double than the harbor price.
Than you receive an sms 10 minutes before embarking that the trip has been canceled due to weather and sea conditions. It's an amazing beautiful day with NO bad forecasts. No money back, just a phone number of the harbor to call.... of course they can't help you. REALLY A BAD SITE TO BOOK, IF YOU WANT TO BE SCR***D OVER FOR YOUR MONEY GO HERE

Never again!

Whatever you do, do not book with this company! We should have booked direct and are now paying the price. Our ferry got cancelled on Saturday and instead of booking us on the next available one, I.e. Sunday, they thought we’d like to miss 2 days of our holiday and booked us on the Monday one, thanks Direct Ferries, a brilliant start to our holiday! We would have cancelled but our week long accommodation had already been paid for. Trying to get answers off their team was like pulling fingernails, never again, be warned.

Please review the companies that you work with @Direct Ferries

I took the Armas ferry from Al Hoceima (MA) to Motril (ES) and it was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. The ferry left more than two hours late, with no proper communication. Inside, there was no functioning air conditioning, leaving passengers in unbearable heat and humidity, people were literally fainting. No refreshments or water were offered, and many passengers were forced to sleep on the floors due to overcrowding. Safety was also questionable, with an obvious lack of first aid responders on board. To top it all off, the tickets are outrageously expensive for a miserable six-hour journey. Absolutely unacceptable and I would never recommend this company.

Amazing customer service

Amazing customer service, rarely have I come across a company who goes the extra mile for the customer. We had an issue regarding our passports and weren't able to board the ferry. They were able to negotiate with the ferry to rebook it to the next day with an extra cost of €25. Also the platform is very easy to use!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. Shocking service and impossible to establish proper contact with their customer services. I cancelled a booking on a Flexi ticket and they have refused to acknowledge that the cancellation request was made even though they acknowledged the request. They use this App for contact and the conversations simply "disappear" and you have no means of recall.

I couldn’t make my departure at Rødby

I couldn’t make my departure at Rødby, and wanted to change my departure time. Very hard to get anyone to respond, and when that happened, Direct Ferries charged 97 euro’s. If I had booked directly with Scanlines, I could just show up and sail without any extra charges if there’s space available on the ferry. NEVER USE DIRECT FERRIES but buy directly with the boat company.
