Good app to use

Good app to use, just a shame you can’t arrange a collection or a local drop zone.

Erm, as you are not responding to my emails Martin perhaps you will to this message? You know why your account was blocked as you responded to that particular message and as mentioned, it is our prerogative to do so. With regards to payment, i'm not sure what else i can do but provide proof of payment as i did on an email. You have still yet to respond to my question asking if the bank details you provided when registering were incorrect? Thank you also for being a lot more polite on this message. Regards, Richard.

A website lacking integrity and honesty

Appalling! For a company that offers PENNIES for CDs to have the temerity to turn round and REJECT them out of hand beggars belief.

I 'sold' this bunch over 500 items for a grand total of £24-odd. Not exactly a money-making result you'll surely agree. For my efforts I have had my account summarily closed on the grounds that the product I sold them was not of a good enough standard! This from a company that offers 1p and 2p on average per CD! I sold them perfectly good items, items I have sold to other buyers without query or complaint for more money, too: their expectations are unrealistic, obviously.

Oh, and their website is a joke: it pretty-much automatically rejects first time every item you scan. It takes several attempts to get it to accept them. Do yourself a favour: save your time and effort for a buying site that actually pays decent money, let alone has honour and integrity. They are not two words I would ever use to describe discflipper. com

Hi Andrew, as per email reply, we always appear to have issues with traders such as yourself who thinks that buying up pallets of regurgitated stock is a big money maker only to discover that they are worth nothing like they thought they would be and then get angry with us for rejecting badly scratched items that have done the rounds. Could it be that the other buying sites you mention have already locked you out? Individual customers selling their individual collections are always the happy ones as their items carry more value and the beauty of our site is that you get a price for every item you wish to sell before hitting that confirm button.....If anyone is unhappy with the prices offered then all they have to do is abandon the transaction. It is your prerogative to voice your opinion Andrew and we welcome all feedback but i will refute your claims that we have no honour or integrity. Regards, Richard

Great service for DVDs

I recently used DiscFlipper to exchange a large number of DVDs. The whole process was seamless and easy. The staff were helpful and kept me informed throughout the process. A huge thanks to Richard White especially, I'd thoroughly recommend them.

Hi Stacy, I have passed this over to be investigated. i have also been advised that you didn't contact customer service to ask the question which is a shame, i am sure they could have resolved this for you without all these extra emails and negative feedback. We welcome all feedback but without knowing something has gone wrong it is impossible for us to rectify for you. I am sure one of the CS team will be in touch shortly now that they are aware there is an issue. DF x

I'd just like to share my selling …

I'd just like to share my selling experience with Discflipper. First of all the app is probably the easiest, user friendly one out there.Easy ,fast scanning and if you want to re amend your basket it's easy to delete with a quick finger swipe of the item, which other websites don't have.
Secondly the customer service was very good with Richard and his team helping me in resolving any problems, fast, efficiently and with good humour.Well done keep it up and I can recommend this company to anyone as they give very fair prices, more than Zapper,MAGPIE,etc
Best of luck and I look forward in doing business with you again shortly

I would thoroughly recommend DiscFlipper

I would thoroughly recommend DiscFlipper to anyone!
I have been involved in the sale of a CD collection, and found the team to be knowledgable, professional, approachable and friendly throughout the sale. It has been a great experience for me and the pricings on the system have been fair...it is great to have a readout of CD's with individual pricings...very re-assuring!
Many thanks to Chalky and the DiscFlipper team.

Don't waste your time.

Spent ages scanning dvd's to their app. Then you eventually get an email but without any relevant details pertaining to post or delivery information on it. You then have to contact them with the details. After a few days they send you an email randomly cancelling your account saying it is 'out of our hands' and there's nothing they can do. Don't waste your time with these clowns.
Complete bo11ocks.

Failed to understand a simple request...

The start of my experience with this company was great, their app is really easy to use and when scanning through my old DVD's they accepted most of them, all except for a few really unknown titles. Once I'd finished scanning, their app takes you to their own website to complete the order and give them all your details. I happily went through all the relevant steps and once the order was confirmed as completed the final page was to arrange a drop-off or pick-up for the box. This page had an error message saying they can't arrange drop-off or pick-up right now and to contact them via email. I sent them a simple email titled 'arranging courier drop off' and explained their website had shown an error message and so would it be possible for them to send me a label so I could get the items sent out to them asap. Their response baffled me a little as they sent me an email saying that I had instructed them to cancel my order! They do say that they apologise if this is a mistake and if I respond they can sort it out so I can get my order to them, but seriously?! How do they confuse a simple 'could I have a courier label to send my items to you' with 'delete my order'. An absolute waste of my time even bothering to scan through the items. If they are that bad at simple email communication I don't even want to attempt to send them my stuff.

Total Timewasters!

Had 2 consignments to go, Unfortunately the system was down to book a courier so I was told to tape both together, which I did, overall a good 1-2 hours work. In the mean time I thought I'd get a 3rd consignment ready (150+ discs) to be told my account is locked, so there's another hour plus worth of work lost. So I email Disc Flipper to forget everything as I have read the dreadful reviews (late couriers/rejection of good discs/late payments/ blocked accounts) as it's happening to me. The email this morning was laughable. Basically they accepted why I didn't want to go ahead with the transactions & was told my account was disabled. They also added "Please be aware that we will also disable any associated accounts, even if the same household under a different name.

We kindly request that no further consignments are sent to us as they will not be accepted and we will be unable to return them to you.".........
So my advice to anyone would be to use a trusted company like Music Magpie or Ziffit because Disc Flipper are a total waste of space.

Hi Edward and thanks for your review although i have to disagree with your comments! It's a shame you only chose to write certain elements of the email that was sent to you. Obviously we cannot please everyone but some customers like yourself appear to take it personally when they receive information they don't like. I don't personally see anything wrong with the correspondence on email which was very courteous and we never asked you to cancel your existing order that we were arranging collection for. Good luck with selling elsewhere.

The saga of a locked account and wasted time

I opened a DiscFlipper account in 2016 and sent in about 200 DVDs and CDs. I had no problems with them initially. The prices offered were competitive, and the parcel was collected as planned. Payment was also prompt and I received an email stating which items had been rejected due to scratches (3 out of 200+ which is perfectly acceptable).
However, I decided to have a 'spring clean' of my DVD collection in February 2017 and scanned in about 250 DVDs. I tried to log into my account but apparently, my account was 'Locked'. I checked my emails and I hadn't received any notifications about my account since I last sent some DVDs and CDs. I assumed that maybe the account had been locked because I hadn't used it for almost a year. So I opened another account and printed the labels etc.
I sent DiscFlipper an email asking if they could unlock my account.
The next day, I was told that the account wouldn't be unlocked, even though in the email they admitted I had done nothing wrong, and I was told something about their system deciding to lock accounts based on administrative costs or something like that.
I had two boxes of DVDs which were ready to be collected - which had taken me two hours to scan in and check the discs - only to be told not to send them because their system will reject them. If I did allow them to be collected, my order would be rejected and I wouldn't receive any payment, nor would my DVDs be returned to me.
So now I have to unpack the boxes and re-scan the DVDs onto another website to sell them
Overall, a very poor experience and the only reason I'm not leaving a 1* review is because at least they had the decency to reply to my emails in a timely manner, and all communications were polite.

Flipping Good!

Processing unwanted CDs and DVDs was easy. Their pricing was very fair and acceptable. The consignment collection service for 25 items + was exemplary although tracking item not possible. Once consignment received by Discflipper funds paid swiftly to bank account.
Could not wish for better!!

Time Wasters

Missed the original courier as of course, the only time I popped out that day was the time the courier arrived. Refuse to rearrange collection. I have to take the boxes to the local drop off point, same as Zapper and Ziffit. The only reason I chose them was because of the courier service and the fact that I cannot physically carry these boxes to the collection point myself. Utterly useless service, don't bother wasting your time.

Hi Joanne, i have investigated this matter and i can see from your only response to a courteous email we sent to you was this....

Forget it. It's physically impossible for take carry the boxes to the these places.

It's a shame you could not have given us a more positive reply or even advised of us of your displeasure so we could have engaged with you and worked something out rather than replying with such a short shrift response then taking to posting negative feedback.

You are of course entitled to your opinion and we welcome all feedback whether it is positive or negative although i must dispute your comment that calls us time wasters as we generally bend over backwards for customers that wish to work with us. Regards, Richard

Disappointing Experience

I took the easy option to weed out CDs from my collection and opted for DiscFlipper as the app on my iPhone was easy to use.

Hmm, I was left less then impressed with the end result though.

The barcode scanner accepted loads of my CDs, gave me what I considered to be competitive prices and so I despatched my goods.

It took quite a few days for my order, once received, to be evaluated and here came the shock !!

DiscFlipper emailed me the list of accepted & rejected items.

I found to my horror that the majority of discs were rejected because ''they don't accept CD singles'', so why on earth did they accept them when scanned using the app.

Honestly, I feel ripped off, so sellers beware.
