Beware rude and unhelpful staff

I received an email from them which had no information on whatsoever, just an application number, when i called up the company to ask, the lady did give me the information of what it was for, but was rude and cut me off, she even stated the email was not from them ( even though it was their email address)

They are a legitimate company, recommended by the UK government as a Responsible Organisation

I've no experience with this organisation yet (I'm just filling out a form on their site) but as they only had two reviews here both of which seemed to suggest that it was a scam company, I just thought I'd mention that they are the second company listed in a list of responsible organisations, on the UK government website. Apparently I'm not allowed to include links in this review but if you search for "disclosure services responsible gov" in Google one of the first results should be a .gov website called Responsible Organisations, and it's on there.

These guys definitely aren't a scam company (though ensure that the URL is correct and that it isn't someone trying to copy the look of their site with a typo in the address)

I never asked for their services

Email from them out of the blue saying my application was in progress. I already have DBS and have never used this company. They have ignored my emails asking them where they have had my information from and who has requested this check without my knowledge or consent. In these days it's worrying when your personal information is bandied about without your knowledge.
