Part of order never arrived, poor communication.

Placed relatively small order (£150), no communication about the delivery. Around two weeks later (not the 3 days advertised) suddenly received half of the order. Other half of the order never arrived and no reply to request/information about further delivery. Quality of skirting is what to expect for the price.

Great value timber

Have only used the company once, though will be making a second purchase soon, I found service to be good, with delivery very quick considering it came from Ireland. By time I came to use some of the architrave and door liners, I did find there was some warping, this is the peril with real wood over MDF. In all honesty I have had worse from the likes of B&Q or Wickes, though obviously returning is much simpler when it is a local store. Prices are however cheaper than the DIY stores, so really it wasn't that bad and I did order extra as I always expect real wood to have some problem pieces. I am more than happy to use the company for my next order. Yes they are in Ireland and if you are sensible enough to read returns terms before purchase, you would discover this from their returns address. I do understand that not all people bother to read to terms though, so perhaps it could be made clearer on their website.

In summary, wood quality is on a par with the likes of the major DIY stores, it is also on average cheaper than the major DIY stores. I would prefer some MDF offerings, but I guess a timber company is not likely to go down that route.

Avoid dealing with this company.

I ordered two door linings from this firm. Didn't realise they are located outside of the UK. Unpacked the first of the linings and was unhappy with the quality. Spoke to customer services who said they could not accept is back as I had opened the pack. Sent the other one back (cost me £30 to send to Ireland). Waited 30 days for a refund that didn't arrive (yes their terms of business say they can take up to 30 days to provide a refund) so had to chase them. Refund then received minus further shipping costs (despite the fact I had paid shipping as an extra with my order). Have since realised the lining I didn't return is actually damaged. Advised Customer Services who could not have been less interested. I am £115 out of pocket. Avoid these people.

Slow delivery and fustrating customer service experience.

Had a very difficult experience. On 5 separate occasions I was told my parcel would be delivered, I waited in and each time it failed to arrive.

The website quotes "FREE DELIVERY in just 3 days", but my package arrived 7 days after ordering. Customer services didn't help.

Although generally decent quality. The oak skirting board isn't perfect, I have ordered 6 packs @ around £100 each, and typically each time I find one of the five boards to be not suitable for use where it can be seen.

Used these guys maybe 6 or 7 times

Used these guys maybe 6 or 7 times. Everytime, items delivered on time or sooner than expected. They use DPD parcels. Never anything broken. I buy pre-varnished oak skirting, door frames, architrave etc. Never disappoint and price remained the same through the years and great quality wood. Also, very reasonably priced. Very happy with them always.
