Great experience and very supportive aftersales

I had a really positive experience with Dobies from start to finish. From the initial enquiry there was no pressure at all, just helpful and honest answers to any questions I had.

The car was well prepared prior to collection, and I was kept fully informed throughout the MOT and service process. The handover itself was smooth and everything was clearly explained.

What really stood out though was the level of aftersales care. Communication has been prompt and professional throughout, and I’ve felt well looked after at every stage.

Especially appreciated given I’m based in Dumfries and the car was supplied remotely.

It’s refreshing to deal with a dealership that genuinely looks after its customers even after the sale is complete. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dobies and would happily deal with them again in future.

Dobies Cumbria Motors Ltd

Dobies Cumbria Motors Ltd

Time to expose the lot of you for the cowboys you are 🤠. I had this car since august last year and for being a brand new car, it’s given me nothing but problems. I have had it in and out of workshop for it being faulty and got laughed at and called a liar because I don’t have a purple license.

After being fobbed off by dobies i took it to a different peugeot garage where the faults were diagnosed where i had 2 lights on the dash, it wasn’t upshifting, smelt of burning and felt very hot in itself whilst jolting and juddering which came down to several different things.

When the bonnet was opened there was electrical tape found around wires from dobies which is a temporary fix to get you home, the air pipe wasn’t fitted correctly and wasn’t secured all the way round was at a tilt meaning air intake was limited. On top of that my air filter also wasn’t fitted correctly it was lipped at the corners and I was burning through coolant so quickly insinuating a coolant leak which dobies didnt want to fix under warranty. They also decided to sell me a car with warped front brake discs.

After one missed payment as I was trying to get the faults fixed that they wouldn’t under warranty which were pricey repairs I had bill dobie on the phone threatening me that if the car wasn’t on the forecourt he would send “the boys” round to collect it. Have your piece of shit back, I don’t want it. My data was also shared with several members who were nothing to do with my financial agreement including tradesmen who work for dobies.

After speaking with the sales manager Barry today who refused to give me a refund but couldnt give me an answer as to why they have gone about things the way they have. He wanted to make sure it wasn’t his issue as the bloke is pure spineless and has no idea on fca regulations.. as a sales manager🤔

They charged me with interest 23 and a half grand for a car that was valued at 15 and a half which is extortionate and are trying to hold that money against me saying its what I owe when the car is on their forecourt as shown and I couldn’t use it for months as it was BROKEN. This is now effecting my credit score and my ability to get another financial agreement.

Moral of the story is if you see this car on the forecourt I wouldn’t, all its going to do is cost you twice the amount you have paid for it as the cowboys have done their temporary fix.
