they dont publish my review

l already rent a flat from dobovo.After l want to write my review.but they dont publish.l ask them when will you publish My reviews? still waiting for week and no replay.
l stay in 5 day at 27D Oleksandra Polia Avenue, Kirova, Tsentralny district, Dnipro and smoke only 1 day in apartment.Owner of house take 800 UAH eXtra money from me..for what..Chek out house rules from web page of apartment (Smoking on the entire territory of the housing is prohibited (except for an open balcony, if there is one) ..Show me that where is is writing about pay 800 UAH if you smoke at webpage???
l will not recomond anyone they do not interest about your replay.

Also, during the check-in, you signed a document from the owner, which contains the same information. In this case, you violated the rules and owner fined you. I tried to book an apartment with DOBOVO.ua

I tried to book an apartment with DOBOVO.ua, but it was not successful. Agents from this company started to call me all the time (check on me?), send me spam about some apartment what I did not want. Apartments I wanted to book for some reason were already occupied but still on the list. I've never received answers on my questions from owners.

Don't trust their descriptions!

Their support is not too bad, but they publish appartments' descriptions without any checking. Even after our complains they did not remove false descriptions from their site.

I liked absolutely everything :-)

I liked absolutely everything :-) It is a very good company. I've been to Lviv many times, and all of my bookings I've made with dobovo's managers. Very good staff, but only 5 or 7 managers know english)

The service is really great.

The service is really great.
I have traveled a lot around Ukraine, and I can surely tell I will definitely use Dobovo in the future. I needed no more than 10 minutes to choose the apartment and to make a prepayment. I also contacted them to make sure that they have received the money, and their customer support was really nice. What's more important, the apartment is great by itself, and the host was very friendly.
I haven't had a problem with getting my reservation and I am completely satisfied with the service

DOBOVO CUSTOMERS Beware of wrong info …

DOBOVO CUSTOMERS Beware of wrong info about the location of Dobovov's Country House Complex, bedroom (6+).
It is far more south than showed in map. Approx 12km. And approx 22km from Kiev Center Town.

Slanted inaccurate ratings and prefential treatment of some owners

Dobovo’s rating are totally slanted by preferential treatment to their favorite owners.

On my first trip to Kieva I had a decent apartment and had to move because I was satying longer for business. After going into dobovo’s office I picked another apartment and was picked up by the owner’s repersentative. The apartment was not even close to the aprtment I had picked, was in a different area of town, was worth about 1/3 of what I had agreed to pay and was the classic bait and switch.

When I complained I ws told the other apartment was undergoi g repairs and not available? They said they could reduce the price in the “dump” I had been taken to.

BTW, there was no reflection in that owners ratings. Dobovo seems to favor specific owners over others and punsihes owners for normal busines mistakes.

Use airbnb. at east they seem legitimate.

(The Dobovo workers and agents seem nice, it is the ethics of the ownership the I highly question.)

First I really dont have the time to go back into my records to research the number of the attempted bait and switch. I dont get paid for that and its not my reponsibility.

IF you do not "carry responsibilty for owners actions" what exacty DO you do. You put me in contact with the owner who did the bait and switch. I was told by your office that the problem was the apartment I had wanted was under repair after I was picked up and taken there. Yet you carry no responsibility??

Your so called automatic ratings also do not take into consideration human mistakes made by conflicted leasings happening in error by an owner. Thsi can happen for numeorus reasons, many of which are in your control. This can happen because the owner has not yet taken down that the aprtment is not available within a short time frame. This has happened to an owner I know personally and through no fault of their own, their rating was decreased etc.

Saying somethign is automatically generated and cannot be adjusted manually is a total and complete cop out for ineffectual, inaccruate and wrong ratings.

There should be an appeal process for owners when something happens and, if all parties agree, their rating should not be harmed.

Your records are flawed then ... the two apartments I satyed in were fine and the last one was fantastic ... Interestingly you do not have the record of the apartment fiasco right before the last apartment. That is the one I was referring to .... THAT was the problem and you have no record?!! I had gone to your office to select the apartment and later called your office to complian about what that apartment was ... and you have NO record ... It makes it difficult to rate a negative experience when you dont allow it ...... and , again your ratings are flawed when automatically you reduce ratings IF something had to be canceled by an owner becasue of an overbooking, even if that concelation happened the same day. THAT does not come from someone who stayed in an apartment and does affect the owners rating. This is proven by the fact tha, since I didnt stay in the POS apartment, I was unable to rate it and the experience even though it caused massive stress and affected an entire day.

You are correct, the two apartments I stayed in I gave very positive reviews to. In addition your agent was fairly helpful. The probem is the bad experience is nowhere to be found?

It is true, that guest cannot rate the apartment if he or she didn't lived in it. But we would like to notify, that each canceled booking is a reason for us to work with the owner. In your case the order was canceled without any penalties (according to the cancellation policy of this particular apartment), but our personal managers have discussed this situation and its consequences with the owner. Worth noting, that cancellations influence the position of the owner on Dobovo.com, for example, the owner cannot become the member of the program “Expert” (it is available only for the best owners, who work with the guests perfectly and don't cancel bookings at any reason).

Mr Sullivan, we hope, that the impressions about the good apartments you stayed in, will overcome the bad memories. As an apology and a sign of respect, please take a gift voucher for the booking in the amount of 1, 000 UAH. If it is convenient for you, we can send voucher to your e-mail. If the e-mail you indicated in your order is the correct one, we can send it there.

When we speak about automatically calculated rating, we mean that only guests can influence it. We cannot influence the rating, there is no such technical possibility – it is totally based on the feedback of the guests. After check out from a particular apartment a guest receives a letter with a request to write a review about the common impression. Even though there are some complaints, but left no feedback, the rating will not change. That is the reason why it is important to leave the reviews and evaluate the service.

According to our information (if you booked the apartment on your name, John Sullivan) you have made 2 bookings and left no bad reviews, only the good one. We kindly ask you to leave the feedback to the owner you are not satisfied with.

Dobovo.com is responsible for the whole process of booking, for its safety for the owner and the guest both. But we cannot be responsible for the process of living. We are trying to select the best apartments and the best owners. We look through the photos of apartments, read the previous reviews and, if there are some complaints, we work with the owner jointly in order to improve the quality of service. But to make it better we need to know, where exactly the weaknesses are.

Good site to book in Ukraine !

I did not know how to book in Ukraine, and i found by chance this website.

PLUS:
- you have a large choice of appartments in Ukraine mainly, other cities/countries less.
- concentrated on the ukrainian real estate, appartments, studios etc, so this compagny has a very good knowledge of their customers.

MINUS:
- some appartments are unable to be booked, and dobovo.com needs a confirmation of the owner of the appartment, and sometimes you can wait several days before knowing the appartment is (not) available BUT the PLUS is that you know from the very beggining if you can book right now an appartment or not.
