Twice the doctors have given the wrong…
Twice the doctors have given the wrong medication for our conditions.
The first time, they gave Nystatin when we had an outbreak of ringworm. Nystatin is for yeast caused by candida, not ringworm. Luckily I double checked the prescribed medication and realized it would never treat our outbreak and we called back and got a different med.
The second time, they prescribed Azithromycin for strep throat. My daughter had a reaction after two days and we had to call back. They then prescribed amoxicillin, which was confirmed to be the widely used antibiotic for strep when we visited an urgent care after she wasn't feeling better. I don't fault them for her reaction, but if she had been prescribed the correct antibiotic in the first place, she would have started feeling better sooner.
I really don't trust the doctors at Doctegrity to know what they are talking about. These cases seem like simple things that a doctor should know.
