Warranty claims not honored — lots of excuses

I purchased a solar pool cover from this company that started falling apart before we even reached summer — well short of a full season of use. When I filed a warranty claim, instead of honoring it, they tried to charge a "partial usage" fee for a cover that failed due to a clear material defect, not normal wear.

When I pushed back and asked for a fair resolution — full credit toward a replacement, with the option to upgrade to a better material at my own additional cost — they denied the claim outright and offered a flat 20% discount on a new purchase instead. That's not a warranty resolution; it's a sales pitch dressed up as customer service.

If you're considering this company, know that their warranty language sounds solid on paper, but in practice they'll look for reasons not to honor it. I won't be purchasing from them again, and I'd encourage others to read the fine print carefully — or better yet, look elsewhere.

The banner on the webpage that I ordered from promised next day delivery to Ocean Springs, Ms. I ordered on Mon 9/14 and was expecting the pump to be here not later than We
d. 9/16. The shipping arrival was one of the main reasons I bought from.Client so I was disappointed to discover that this item will not be here until Friday 9/18. Also when I tried to check status on shipment, I was denied due to being blocked by web sedver, so now I really can't check on line. That is important since FEDEX is notorious for running late.

Delivery time was slow I guess it was on back order but I wasn't told this until after I place the order if I don't know this before I place my order I would have ordered something else

Doheny's always has very competitive prices and great products. Their deliveries are always on time and the products arrive in good shape. I have never been disappointed with anything that I've purchased there.

Doheny’s is a great pool supply company. If you have a pool you need a Doheney’s catalog. From chlorine tabs, shock, covers, vacuums, algae control, and everything filtering they have it. Quick delivery and products that work.

Everything i have gotten has worked wonderfully and it arrives in a rapid way!

Good price, quick delivery and good products

I ordered replacement straps for the pool stairs. The description was very vague. So now I have 2 packages with a lot of straps but nothing on the strap to secure them down like the ones that cames with the stairs originally. Now I have to find something the be able to snap them in place

I purchased the Doheny’s 18’ x 36’ Solid Winter Pool Cover advertised with a 10-year warranty. When my pool maintenance company arrived to close my pool, they discovered that the cover was ripped and could not be used. As a result, they could not complete the closing, I was charged an additional fee for them to return, and I had to purchase another pool cover directly from them so my pool could be closed.

When I contacted Doheny’s, I was initially told to email customer service and provide photos. When I explained that I no longer needed a replacement because I had already been forced to purchase another cover, I requested a refund instead.

I was then told that in order to receive a refund, I would need to cut an 8” x 10” section out of the cover and send it to Doheny’s. I understand that a company may want proof that a defective product has been destroyed, but requiring a customer to cut up and mail a section of an already visibly damaged cover seems unnecessarily burdensome, especially when photos clearly document the damage.

I also asked to speak with a supervisor and was told to send an email instead.

I have been a loyal Doheny’s customer for more than 15 years, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. A product sold with a 10-year warranty should not result in the customer paying additional pool-service fees, purchasing another cover out of necessity, and then going through an inconvenient process just to request a refund.

At this point, I am not asking for another cover. I am asking Doheny’s to stand behind the product and provide a refund.

Very disappointed in both the product and the way this issue has been handled.

Disappointed. Very slick finish. Liability-level slick finish when wet. Also, the “grey” is the whitest “grey” I’ve ever seen. For both reasons, I’ll need to spend even more money for a topcoat. Not what I planned given my investment in five gallons of the export coating.

I have ordered pool supplies from Doheny's for over 20 years.

Doheny’s is outstanding.
They are a privately owned company that rivals Amazon in the total customer experience. I have complete confidence in the quality of the product, the value and the delivery.

Doheny's sells an item called "Doheny's Premium 24 inch Removable Section Kit - Taupe," but it contains ZERO fence sections. It is just a box of brackets and hardware. To make matters worse, their online product overview completely fails to mention that Kit D is hardware-only, leaving it entirely ambiguous.My installer mounted the brackets relying on the product title, and now my pool is left unsafe and out of code because the actual fence panel was missing. Doheny’s customer service completely refused to take accountability for their broken website description. They refused to send a fence section and only offered a 10% discount to buy more products. Totally unacceptable business practices. I've filed a chargeback and a BBB complaint. Shop elsewhere!
