Bought a coffee machine 3 months ago and it stopped working. Called the company as it has a guarantee and they were totally unhelpful. Was told I had to troubleshoot. This is what they sent me:

Thanks for contacting Nescafé Dolce Gusto.
I'm sorry to hear that you have been experiencing an issue with your Nescafé Dolce Gusto machine.
From what you've described, it sounds like the machine may have an airlock.
In order to resolve this, and get the water flowing, the following steps may help:
Fill the water tank with hot water from the tap (not boiling water from the kettle) and put it onto your machine. Leave it for at least 1 hour. This will allow the heat from the water tank to unblock and separate any dry pipes within the machine.
If this does not resolve the issue, please try the following - this stage may need to be performed a number of times.
Switch off and unplug the machine, lift the front cover, and remove the capsule holder.
Insert the cleaning tool into the needle in the head of the machine as far as the curly end - tool located in back wall of machine, (in underside of drip tray for Infinissima only).
Remove the cleaning tool, insert the capsule holder back into the machine and close the cover down again.
Remove the water tank and drip tray.
Rotate the machine a full 360° (like a steering wheel) do this twice.
Gently tap the machine 2 or 3 times as you are placing the machine back onto the work surface.
Turn the machine on at the plug and switch to the hot or cold setting.
If no water comes through, keep the machine running and lift the full water tank up and down several times.
Keep going with it as it can take a little time for the water to come through.
If after following these steps, your machine is still not working correctly, we really need to proceed with Descaling the machine.
