CAUTION - no reimbursement without Dr note
CAUTION - For new and intermediate skiers, buying multiple days for the ski lift pass at once is risky and unnecessary. It is almost impossible to get a refund for unused ski pass days if injured, sick or sore (borderline scam). Just buy each ski lift pass the day before you go (they won’t sell out) and it’s super easy to pick up the pass (self-serve kiosk).
I bought multiple days at once ($100/80eu per day). I bruised my rib on the first day, and was way too sore to ski any of the days afterwards. For reimbursement, they require a note from a medical professional in the dolomite ski area verifying you shouldn’t ski with this injury (but also no reimbursement for others in party who aren’t injured fyi).
After a day of rest, I painfully walk up to the main office and they tell me this. So I ask to see their medical staff, but they have none. They say I need to see a Dr in town. The closest one is 15mins away and closed. Also the cost to see the Dr could be 60-120eu! They won’t refund me even though I’m in physical pain and I just feel scammed (insult to injury). In Colorado, they refund unused lift passes no questions asked.
So I hope others read this and just buy your lift pass day by day.
