I went to get my car serviced and needed to get the diesel particulate filter replaced and windshield washer pump replaced. I called and told them that's what I wanted. They booked me in and when I picked up the car, they only changed the oil. These clowns didn't call me that they couldn't change the washer pump and then they said they don't even do diesel particulate filters! Why the F did they book me in when that's what i told them what I wanted to do when I called them! Absolute morons! And unethical too. Wasted my time entirely, and made me run around, swapping cars for no reason. Stay away from these guys! They have low ratings for a reason!
GOOD OLD-FASHIONED *REAL* CUSTOMER SERVICE
Woke up to find I had a flat tyre on the car and we were about to go on holidays (annoying). Tried ringing three other tyre repair/replacement companies in Blackburn. Absolutely and utterly d***ed around by all three. One wouldn't even tell me if they could repair the tyre today (if it *could* be repaired), without me giving them my email address (like, why??). With another one I just sat on the phone for ages, and then got a rude person who kept putting me on hold to ask someone else a (really easy) question. And the third company I ended up in the 'press one for this, press two for that' endless scenario, finally got sent a 'link' to my phone with a form to fill in all my details, then after a while someone answered and asked me my details (again - seriously what is it with this type of absolute IT stupidity? If anyone believes automating customer service is good for a business' bottom dollar, it's really a false economy. Good customer service needs efficient humans that simply know what they're doing). Anyway, next I tried Donnellans. A human being answered the phone. They said "yep, bring it up straight away. If we can fix it, we will, if it needs to be replaced might be coupla days." (I wanted a specific tyre) So I took it straight up to them. Gave the person behind the counter my keys. They drove it out the back. I got myself a cup of coffee from their coffee machine, made a work call. 15mins later, my car appears, they hand me the keys and say $50. (!!!). Honestly, it was the nicest 'proper' customer service experience I've had in a LONG time, from any company. Good old fashioned, real, customer service. Workers were efficient and pleasant. Fast service, no mucking around. AND I didn't (for the first time in a long, long time) feel ripped off. Quite the opposite. Cheers, Donnellans, when I need new tyres, I know exactly where I'm going to go.
