The worst customer experience we've ever had
If you were our friends, we simply wouldn't let you use this company. We found the couple who run it to be ungracious and, in our opinion, unprofessional.
They were paranoid about giving us a quote when we asked for one in the first place (terrified, apparently, that we'd use it to go elsewhere and get a better deal, which was never our intention, but how I wish we had).
When delivery was made, the driver didn't even give us enough time to count the items, let alone check them. Small wonder. Several doors contained flaws, and we didn't think much to the quality of the end panels either.
I had to take some pieces back myself, and when I did, the attitude of the staff just wasn't what a professional company would be like - even trying to scrub one of the panels with a scouring pad in front of me.
Furthermore, I pointed out that even though another part of the order was itself damaged, I would accept it as I could hide it from sight (thinking that as I'd saved them money by not demanding a replacement, they'd have the good grace to replace another damaged end decor panel free of charge). Not a chance! They instead emailed me to say that a replacement end decor panel would be another £40! And when I said I would rather have the old one back and asked them to return it alongside some other parts that we were still waiting for, they sent me a rude email and point blank refused! I therefore had to ask a family member to go into the store and collect the parts for me.
All in all, D P James was, we feel, the worst company we've ever dealt with. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.
