Unable to book a car
I wanted to book a Mercedes SLK to find out if it is comfortable over a days drive which you can not tell after a short "main dealer" test drive so I found one on Drivejoy locally. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME I messaged the owner of the car and got no reply I then contacted DRIVEJOY by live chat he rang the guy up but he said he could not take the call at that time but would ring Drive joy the following day well I heard nothing so I went on Live chat again and while I was chatting I was told he had just rung and he was going to check his diary to see if the car was free(He has 3 Mercedes cars on drivejoy and has NO bookings on any of them)This was four days before I wanted to hire the car and he never replied.
I live chatted with Drive joy again as I wanted to leave feedback against this guy but because I had not hired a car from him I was not allowed. Drivejoy were sympathetic for me they said they could not force owners to reply but because of the way this guy had ignored my communication he would be penalised on his personal profile. That has not happened he had a 100% reply rating in an average response time of 232mins, and now five days later it is still the same. So it goes without saying in future I shall go back to hiring cars from a traditional hire company.
