Misleading Software Practices & Poor Support – Avoid DRPU Software
I purchased a Software’s Student ID Maker from DRPU Software Pvt. Ltd. in 2020 for $45. On 2023, the software stopped working entirely. When I contacted their support, I was told that my version was “too old” and that I had to pay another $27 just to access a working version.
At the time of purchase, there was no clear notice about the software expiring or future paid upgrades. I was led to believe I was buying a perpetual license. This is unacceptable and misleading.
I believe this is unfair and unethical business behavior. They should either:
Provide a working version of what I originally paid for, or
Offer a free upgrade as a courtesy to existing users.
I would not recommend DRPU Software to anyone until they improve their customer service and clearly disclose their software licensing and support policies.
