Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Hello.

Hello.
Ten weeks ago I was desperately searching for help to my daughter who struggles with social anxiety.
I am a solo single parent who happened to come across RJ.
His sale woman knows how to sell.
She somehow convinced me to pay him almost $7000 for ten sessions ( crazy , right)?
Especially when you have to take out money from savings.
Ten sessions were done and my daughter is exactly at the same place she was.
I asked RJ for half of the money back or 3-4 more sessions for free, which he declined both. I guess he never took business 101 months in college.
Very disappointing and I hope he treats other parents better then what I got.

Just Say NO To Good Marketing

Just Say NO. They promise to inspire and help kids adopt a positive mindset, but their program is overpriced and poorly run. With a sticker price of about $3500 and few services of value, families would be better off reading parenting books, watching parenting video/ podcasts, learning how to truly connect with their kids in positive ways, and understanding that teens need their parents to be interested in learning about them--rather than being preached at or punished for struggling. It's also important to learn to set limits on technology. There are books that can help parents do that in productive ways. Once we got our teen's tech use under control, our relationship with him improved. No, RJ did not teach us how to do that.

It can be hard to connect with teens. Speaking with a good therapist to receive parenting tips would be more productive and much less expensive than RJ's Teen Coaching program. He does not coach kids one-on-one unless parents pay over and above the $3500 group coaching sessions, which take place once or twice a month!!! I also got fed up because they cancelled sessions on short notice more than once. Their customer service people try to smooth over other complaints rather than help increase the quality of their services. I wasted a bunch of time I didn't have trying to get their program to work for us.

Ask for the free trial if you want to learn about the services—not the free call, but a free trial session or ask to see videos of their parenting sessions. It wasn't good--not $3000+ good. My son was excited about meeting RJ when I convinced him to try, but the sessions turned out to be nothing burger for him.

Be aware, they do not offer a money-back guarantee. That is the red flag I ignored because they said no when I asked about it. I wasted a ton of money, and I am very unhappy with what this program actually is. They also try to upsell parents. I almost feel for it.

The bottom line is that they did not put in enough effort to make the sessions worthwhile or of decent value. Seek other reviews on Google and also look at BBB. There are many negative reviews. I should have checked, but I was desperate to find something to help my 14-year-old son, who was struggling. I'm sad that I wasted our money and raised my son's hopes of "meeting RJ." Look up his videos on TikTok. They are comical but not helpful.

I do agree with RJ that it is important to condition your child's mind to reject things that are against their interests (i.e., find productive ways to deter them from negative behaviors) and to find ways to positively condition their minds to seek productive behaviors. I think the program would have worked if there had been more transparency about how the program is designed, if RJ consistently attended the bi-monthly teen/parenting sessions, and if the program cost a lot less money. This taught me to never buy something that is impossible to get a refund on if it turns out to be of low value.
