Dyson is a terrible company
Dyson is a terrible company. A supposed friend of mine works for Dyson and she said she works 17 hours days. The Dyson doesn't do the job.
Do not trust money-back guarantee or return policy.
I added a Dyson item to my cart. On the checkout page, it stated: “Purchases made between November 1 and December 25 can be returned up until 5:00 p.m. CST on January 31, 2026.” Directly below that, it also said, “Money-back guarantee; free 30-day return policy.”
The item arrived and did not work for me. I was actually interested in upgrading to a more expensive product, but Dyson informed me that the message on the checkout page did not apply to what was in my cart and they would not allow me to return it. No other return or guarantee policies are linked or listed on the page.
I do not understand why they could not clearly mark something as “final sale,” like every other website is able to do. It is incredibly misleading.
I purchased a Dyson heater/fan December…
I purchased a Dyson heater/fan December 1, 2025. I received the item December 4, 2025. The box was severely damaged with holes and dents. I was worried my heater would be damaged. Prior to unpacking I followed my mind and took photos of all sides of the box. Of course, once I removed the heater there was a large gap on the right side due to the mishandling of the package. I took more photos and immediately contacted Dyson. I ended up in a chat conversation and after over an hour of being on chat in addition to sharing photos (twice) I was finally given a return label. The conversation seemed to be like I was at fault. I decided to return for a refund and no replacement. In order to do an exchange I would have to pay upfront and wait two weeks for the refund on the damaged one. No thank you. Dyson is way too expensive to offer this type of customer service. I don’t mind paying for nice items but I expect to get what I pay for. Perhaps Dyson should take customer service lessons from Costco and Nordstrom.

I purchased the Dyson Corrale hair straightener for my daughter for her birthday. Dyson is pricey, but whenever I’ve had an issue in the past, their service has always made the cost feel justified.
Need better support
I hope my new vacuum is better than the customer service.
Their shipping agent delivered my original order to another address, who knows where. I called immediately hoping the driver was still in the area, so much for logical thinking.
Because I had no idea where it was delivered, I requested a replacement order. Then the next day I found the package outside my door, thank you stranger! So of course I called them to stop the replacement order and was told it was handled with their shipper so all was, I thought, good.
Lo and behold the second order was just delivered, so crazy. I know many companies have offshored their support teams, and rarely do things get handled properly.
Very disappointed with this company.
They do **not** honor their own delivery promises, and the staff acts completely unprofessionally.
My original delivery date was **December 3rd**, and now it suddenly changed to **December 10th** — and I only found out because **I tracked it myself**. The company didn’t bother to send **any** notification about the delay.
On the website it clearly says **5–7 business days**, yet my order is already well beyond that timeframe. This is unacceptable.
I spent **over $700**, and the company still cannot even ship the product with express mail or provide proper updates.
This is **frustrating, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing** for a company that claims to value its customers.
I absolutely do **not** recommend this service.

This brand has terrible customer service and worthless chat functionality. Products made so cheaply that when they break and you need a replacement part you’ll wait weeks to get it and only after multiple phone calls to figure out why the order you placed never arrived. Obvious off shore phone banks where no one is motivated to help you. I’m sure they’re paid an atrocious wage. Truly SHOCKING. I would never spend another penny with this company.

Dyson is a shell of it's former self. You used to buy Dyson products for their premium quality. That is not the case anymore. Except the only problem is they kept the premium price tag and still market their products as such. Like many others, I also bought a Dyson product that stopped working only a couple months after the warranty period and was told by customer service that purchasing a replacement was "the best resolution they could provide". The fact that so many people have complained about their products not working only a couple months after the end of the warranty period, means that Dyson products are designed to fail, so that you'll keep buying their faulty products. I also had an issue with customer service 2 years ago when I purchased the vacuum. I returned their pet hair attachment, which I didn't find very useful, and they would not issue a refund. After reaching out to customer service multiple times and not getting a response I had to file a charge-back with my credit card company. What an absolute scam of a company. I will never buy another Dyson product.

Dyson warranty
Being on a budget i was looking for an upright vacuum that was affordable while doing it's job. I have 2 pets that shed an extraordinary amount of fur on the daily. Vacuuming is a must and i need the vacuum to be effective. I purchased the fuchia Origin ( granted it is the oldest original model ) directly from Dyson at sale price. That's the only reason i was able to afford this vacuum. After receiving the vacuum, i found it worked well. One day while vacuuming i an object got taught in the hose causing a puncture. I sent it but it wasn't working well when igot it back It was inconvenient but the convenience of the warranty is icing on the cake. Unfortunately my vacuum couldn't be restored to working order Dyson then decided to replace my vacuum with an upgraded latest upright (the Origin was no longer stocked) Dyson kept it's commitment and i am satisfied with the results
Dyson reselling faulty humidifier
Dyson replaced my faulty humidifier/air purifier machines, however when the replacement proved to be faulty they expect me to pay to ship it to them for an estimated fee to repair. I see they are selling refurbished machines so it looks like anyone who doesn’t choose to move forward with a repair, Dyson can refurbish and resell. Not what I would expect from Dyson.
Deceptive Warranty Claims
As everyone else has said, their customer service doesn't live up to their branding. The wheel broke off my Dyson Oversized within 18 months of purchase while using the vacuum normally, which means I can no longer use it with the broken part. Their two year warranty says they will replace or repair anything required to maintain the device as operational. When I contact them, they said the wheel breaking from normal usage isn't covered and I need to spend $125 for a replacement part. Many Reddit reports say they had the exact same issue.
New Dyson Hairdryer with Mold Growing On It- New Shipped from Dyson!
Received and opened my new Dyson supersonic nural hairdryer today, 11/28/25. There was white mold growing on the inside of the black packaging, and it looked like there had been water damage or that the dryer was stored in a very damp place. Tried to call Dyson customer service twice— once I couldn’t understand the rep at all and the second time the rep disconnected me. So disappointed. This is a $550 hair dryer! Terrible experience with Dyson. I wish I could add pictures to this review; you wouldn’t believe the sight of the mold. Returning and will never buy from them again.

Ordered Aconda 2x and received…
Ordered Aconda 2x and received information that the processing is delayed. Immediately called to cancel the order, as I was not going to be there pick my order. Rep opened a case number but still got tracking information for delivery of the product. They couldn’t even expedite it, even when I was ready to pay for it. Worst experience I have ever had with any company. I have to hope the $800 product stays in my porch until I return.

Luxury products, incompetent customer service, outrageous replacement process

I was told earliest shipping dec 10, that is 15 business days. I cancelled because I did not want to wait 3 weeks. In 2 days I get an e mail that the vacuum cleaner has shipped. Shocker! 3 days later I got another e mail and ups notification that Dyson RECALLED the vacuum cleaner. So they were able to ship in 2 days, NOT 15 days, but cancelled the shipment. I would have preferred the vacuum cleaner in 2 days, not a refund.
During all this time ZERO communication by Dyson. Zero e mail or phone call. Now I have no vacuum cleaner and no refund.
This co is a complete disaster!
Purchase a V12 vacuum cleaner, the same model I already owned.
There was a serious problem apparent right after I tried to assemble it.
Call customer service 5 times, spoke to 5 different supervisors, spent close to 4 hours on the phone.
Received incorrect e mail address to file a formal complaint. Customer service is in India and Honduras as I found out today.
First they wanted to send me a replacement part, a new wand, no one suggested they were going to send a new vacuum cleaner.
I returned the broken vacuum cleaner, warehouse received it 11/20. Took 5 business days from NYC to TX. Last supervisor promised to contact me 11/21 to let me know when the replacement is shipped. I was told return process 15 days FROM THE DAY WAREHOUSE RECEIVES IT! I asked what were they doing for 15 days, I was repeatedly told this was the return process.
Once Dyson has your money and broken product back in the warehouse, they could not care less. They dump the problems into your lap and let you deal with it. Good products, BUT good luck to you if you get a broken model. Based on the other reviews I am not the only one with a terrible experience. I have been a loyal customer for many years. I have 2 air purifiers, a vacuum cleaner and recommended Dyson to friends and family. It is pathetic Dyson has this kind of inferior customer service and ridiculous policies supervisors repeat without being able to explain them.
