Shady business practices

Shady business practices, CEO has a real ego, he has trouble sticking to agreements, forgets things he has previously said, is absurdly impatient and also likes to inflate numbers by an order of magnitude during conversation as a power move, fortunately I actually know basic math and could easily prove their numbers wrong.

I told him we are honest people and expect honesty in return, which he then stated that "this arrangement wasn't going to work out", even though the only thing that changed was me calling him out on his lies.

The unreliable leadership was worse than the unreliable servers (which they were) we couldn't access our server and asked why. apparently the guy "tripped over our cable" and unplugged the server.

They asked us to build our own software to track GPU utilization and report back to them our usage so they could bill us accordingly, they have no infrastructure or API, it's all so very sketchy.

They also accidentally blocked our ssh access through the firewall and when we asked them for ports they gave us the wrong ports, one of the 5090s was not seated properly causing issues in nvidia-smi and our k3s cluster, each of these issues causing serious delays in deployment.

The day we finished all of the work and got it deployed with the GPU usage tracking that they required us to build our selves the CEO decided to lie about their power costs inflating it by around 10-13x, he said we were wasting their resources (power), even though he was the one that offered us the servers to build our infrastructure before we did a full rollout. He didn't like the deal that he came up with him self. We were always honest about our monthly spend with other providers so they would have an idea what we would spend with them. I even asked him to take one of the two servers back so they could give it to other customers. This courtesy is what caused him to get mad. I explained to him that we were going to use our previous compute provider until the 25th because they were significantly cheaper and any time we needed extra availability we would use Easy Compute, but only until the 25th, after the 25th we would be fully running in Easy Compute.

It took a total of 5 business days for the CEO to lose patience, not to mention he messaged me nearly every day the same questions over and over repeating things we had already discussed slightly changing his mind every time he asked them.

They are company rooted in Crypto Bro hustle culture with very little data center experience.

I honestly cannot recommend them for any application and they aren't even the cheapest option.

Don't buy ANYTHING from this company...

I have been trying to find Easy Compute's Google profile to leave a review but it looks like they've deleted it, I'm guessing so they don't have reviews like these public.

I purchased numerous crypto rigs from Easy Crypto Hunter, which was the previous scam before they changed it to Easy Compute. Same sh*t different name!

I am friends with a few people who have bought their 'new AI systems' which apparently were meant to be even better than my crypto rigs. All I can say is thank God I didn't get roped into buying those too!

My machines never made me any profit even though the CEO, Josh, consistently said they would in the future. He basically uses old figures that were once great to persuade you to buy into the whole thing, sadly I was a victim of his lies. I'm told it was the same deal with the new systems, they would earn over £1000 per month and pay back within 2 years, apparently. From the people I know with the systems, they have made next to nothing, some spending over £100k and have nothing to show for it.

They do have systems, but obviously they're that poor that they just don't earn money. I am a farmer and the thread on the Farming Forum says that the equipment Easy Compute sells, is not new. Which would explain why nothing earns money if its old second hand equipment.

A large group of us have come to the conclusion the company is just one big scam. They will lie about figures to get you to buy their rigs and you will NEVER get the money they tell you your rigs will make.

I can't believe the company is still operating and hasn't been reported yet for false advertising amongst other laws they're breaking. I hope this review will stop other people buying into their scam.

I don't even know where to begin with…

I don't even know where to begin with this company. I'm so glad someone else has reviewed on Google, because I don't think people would believe me without someone else's review. And as my Google review was deleted by the CEO.

I have known Easy Compute (formerly Easy Crypto Hunter) for a good few years and know a lot of their clients, both on the Crypto and Compute side. I have seen them at countless expos and have purchased systems myself and unfortunately it wasn't just one. I wish it was!

So for those of you who don't know their business model, they sell these famous money making machines', and the only thing these machines make are humongous electricity bills, far outweighing the earnings. I have not spoken to one of their customers who has actually earned any profit whatsoever.

They seem to constantly promise these magical contracts which will turn up, but they have also been non existent and when you question them on this, you will be told, 'they are working hard and some big things are coming'. When they say big things, they mean invoices to you, to cover the electricity your machine has been using, but it hasn't been earning anything.

I don't use the word scam lightly, but in this case, their is no other word.

When you initially speak to them, their CEO massively inflates figures and basically lies about how much the systems can earn, in order to persuade you to buy them. I know people have questioned him on this before, as have I, and he claims the machines have earned that before', which means he is living in the past, just like the ancient servers they sell. They all follow the same script, clearly led by the CEO which is absolute nonsense.

I have had it confirmed that they sell refurbished equipment as I know a few clients who had their servers looked into and their so called 'brand new' and 'cutting edge server that was bought, stopped being produced in 2020, bare in mind they were purchased in 2024. The CPUs inside their systems are even older than that. I have to hand it to the CEO, he has the knack to sell old refurbished servers as 'new' which don't earn anywhere near what was illustrated in the beginning for a stupidly high price, bravo!

Their recent tech support has been non existent, it's incredibly hard to get hold of anyone useful and whenever you call, you feel like a burden to them, even though that was one of their biggest selling points to me. I've spoke with the team over the years and everyone who I used to speak to, who was actually helpful, seems to have all left at the same time. It doesn't take an idiot to guess why that was the case.

I am writing this review as a warning to anyone even considering working with Easy Compute, Including myself and the other clients I know, we have spent well into the hundreds of thousands and right now, we are realistically close to zero from what we have earned. We will all have to write this investment off as a loss and move on.

PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did. You will be hoodwinked by their very convincing sales tactics and won't see a penny back on that investment. I will go as far to say their are numerous clients who are considering legal action because of how deceived they all feel. I will update this review if those proceedings materialise.
