Solar fans don’t work

There has been a recent hurricane in Jamaica and I sent money to purchase 2 solar EASY POWER fans costing approx £75 EACH ! My family has advised THEY DO NOT CHARGE when placed in the sun. It’s a lot of money to spend but we were desperate for them as they still have no electricity after 1 month and it’s extremely hot so we felt desperate to help them and send the money for them to purchase these fans. Isn’t this a rip off selling products that don’t work !
