Ignorant and unresponsive.

Ignorant and unresponsive.

My policy was transferred by my landlord to this group.

The policy cost tripled and insured amount fell. As a result, I called to cancel the policy immediately.

Lady I spoke to assured me it was closed down and I would receive a letter in the post confirming this. I asked for an email confirmation but was told this was not their policy.

Again, I was reassured it was closed and to await letter confirmation.

This did not happen.

I phoned selecting option 2 for customer services but got passed to the claim department which is option 3. Had to go through the automated message again for the same problem to happen again.

Decided to email instead and again got no response.

I am now trying to phone for a 4th time and they are refusing to answer the call (42 mins). Dreadful company who cannot be trusted to protect your assets.

Avoid this company.

Assisted claim by Graham…

Assisted uninvoiced claim by Graham Rattray funeral directors.
After my fathers passing to which was paid in full to the ecclesiastical funeral plan I awaited an invoice from the funeral director Graham Rattray. The funeral director sent me an email advising of a part invoice of £518 for council dispersment services. I requested a full breakdown invoice for all services provided and claimed for from the funeral plan as to my father paying just under £4000. I had no response. 4 months later and I still have not received any invoice for the claim made by the funeral director to my fathers ecclesiastical plan. I therefore contacted ecclestiastical for a full breakdown of what has been claimed by Graham Rattray funeral directors and for what services he claimed for due to them not providing any invoices or breakdown of costs as to claiming a further £518 outstanding above the already paid £4000 + 5 years interest for a previously predicted full family funeral with family cars and church service etc to which was no longer required and changed to a basic graveside burial service. I contacted ecclesiastical to help provide me with an invoice for Graham Rattrays claim of which they fail to provide and failed to respond to an invoice request 4 months ago. Ecclesiastical have now provided a rattrays partial invoice for £1495?? They also advise for me to pay £518 outstanding without providing any full breakdown of services provided and claimed for to ecclesiastical by the funeral director to which was a basic service compared to the originally predicted full package funeral that was originally paid for. This has been a cloak and dagger experience from the funeral director but now being assisted by ecclestiastical! I will now be seeking legal advice and contacting the financial ombudsman service.

17/3/26

I today called ecclestiastical to challenge the £1495 invoice from the funeral directors that they paid £3894.79 to from my dads funeral plan. The advisers hung up on me on the 2 calls I made to them! I have now emailed them and await a response to this incompetent experience created by them.
