Absolutely horrific
Absolutely horrific. This company is the worst Card company I ever have delt with. Zero help Zero Thought process. I have a 828 credit score and these people act like their doing me a favor. Run like all hell from them
I was scammed by an auto restoration…
I was scammed by an auto restoration business and filed a stop payment. After six months of sending Elan letters from third parties and numerous conversations I was never able to get them to understand the issue. They lost evidence I sent them one department didn’t forward documents I sent, they will not use email, just scanned it somewhere. I never talked to the same person twice. In my last conversation I asked them to send me something that explained exactly what documents they needed and they sent me the same form I had filled out two before. I’m am out $5,000 because according to them they do not have anyone that understands car repair. They are not customer friendly whatsoever.
Do not get a credit card wirh this company
I had a credit card wirh this company for years. Never again!! I would not recommend anybody getting a credit card from them on top of the fact that they're interested is much higher than other credit cards. I paid the credit card off always made way above my monthly minimum payment. When I called to get a full balance to pay off the credit card and close it I was given the amount paid it off. A month later I received another bill stating it was back accumulating credit to me that is straight up theft.
Complete scammers
Complete scammers, I got tricked out of doing a secured line of credit of $3000. They wanted the money immediately to open the account after a year. They still haven’t made it unsecured after perfect payments and if I close the account, it takes up to two months to get your money back. Beware of this place.

Terrible payment system horrible customer service.
Hold times are an hour +
Elan Financial's customer service is extremely frustrating. Hold times are often over an hour, and representatives frequently seem uninformed about ongoing issues. Their systems are outdated, requiring documents to be sent by fax, and follow-up is inconsistent. Customers are often forced to repeat the same information because account notes are not reviewed. Overall, the service is inefficient and disappointing.
Unfair Billing Practices and Lack of Accountability
I am extremely disappointed with how this situation has been handled.
I was assessed a late fee despite making a payment on the 1st of the month. At no point was I clearly informed that making a payment before the due date could result in my account being treated as delinquent because of an internal billing cycle or cutoff date. Had this information been communicated, I would have adjusted my payment schedule accordingly.
What is particularly troubling is the lack of proactive communication. I did not receive an email, text message, phone call, or any other notification advising me that a payment had been missed. The only indication was a red banner displayed when I happened to log into my account to make June's payment. If Elan is going to impose penalties and late fees, they should be equally diligent in notifying customers when there is an issue with their account before assessing those charges.
I was advised that someone would contact me regarding my request to have the late fee waived. Instead, I received an email from Michael informing me that the fee would not be removed. Ironically, while Elan was able to send an email denying my request, no email was sent to alert me that a payment had supposedly been missed or that my account was at risk of being charged a late fee.
The issue is not simply the amount of the fee. It is the principle. Customers should not be penalized for circumstances that could have been easily prevented through reasonable communication and transparency.
As a result of this experience, I have lost confidence in Elan's business practices and customer service. Once my balance is paid in full, I intend to close my account and take my business elsewhere. I prefer to do business with companies that prioritize transparency, fairness, and customer communication.
I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed again and that the late fee be removed.
I've been with Elan 4 years
I've been with Elan 4 years. Never missed a payment. My credit card got hacked, I called them, cancelled/closed the card. They were to send a replacement in 5-10 days. It's been 16 days and still no credit card replacement. However, in a few days after I received an email saying I could activate the card. What card? That would not be a wise thing to do ( I e., activate a card I do not have in my possession)!! When I called to inquire about my card because we were getting ready to go on vacation, the Rep. was not at all sympathetic about my situation. Well, Monday is day #18. Will see what transpires then. Seriously considering canceling my business affiliation with Elan Financial.
Hadn't used this card in a while so…
Hadn't used this card in a while so they sent me a letter reminding me to use it or else they would close it.
I charged$117.29 on the card, got my bill and accidentally paid via bill pay $11,729.00.
Yes, my mistake. I called them and they said they would send me a check for the balance and I would receive the check in 10-14 days.
2 weeks later I hadn't received the check so I called again and they said I was given the wrong information and that it would take up to three more weeks for me to get my money back.
Later I received a letter saying that they had put the money back in my bill pay. I assumed it was over until I got a bill showing a debit of over $11,000. I spoke with my bank and my bill pay and they needed a trace number to locate the money because they had no record of receiving it. I have contacted Elon Financial several times over the last 3 months to get that Trace number but they do not give it to me and they give me apoligies followed by a huge run around every single time. You are never allowed to speak to the same person twice which is a HUGE issue. My bank and my bill service company went through everything and they never received any money from Elan Financial even though they say they sent it and now they say I owe it to them.
I just received another bill and this one says that I still owe the 11,000 plus now they've added almost $200 in interest!!! I tried contacting them twice yesterday. First supposed supervisor hung up on me, and the second one had no idea what was going on with my account.
There is just no way to work with them
TODAY I SENT A CERTIFIED LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF ELAN FINANCIAL. Peter Klukken
along with a check of what I actually owe them which is about $147 total.
I would say they either put the money in the wrong account or one of their employees put it in their pocket. in any case it's not my problem any longer unless they do something to my perfect credit rating then I will see them in court.
DON'T HAVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP
Terrible company. Worst company to deal with when going through sudden financial hardship. I will pay off my cards and never deal with them again. I am hoping to open other cards or a loan to pay them off. They have NO program in place to help anyone when you cannot pay. I work for one of the largest banks and we have better plans in place when someone is not late, or even a day late. I have had two other cards several years ago when I went thru something lower my APR's significantly to 4-6% and locked my cards until I paid the debt off. This company? NOTHING. offered to lower my 29% apr to 17.99-19.99 for 6 MONTHS. yeah a $200 bill each card when someone is on an unpaid health leave from a job is really going to work. They straight up told me they are not allowed to do anything else until 30 days late.. Well working for a bank I know 30 days late GOES ON YOUR CREDIT - I WILL NEVER DEAL W YOU AGAIN!
Absolutely horrible company
Absolutely horrible company. I had a Fidelity Visa that they backed that had a rewards program where 2% of my eligible purchases would be deposited into my Fidelity account. I thought it was a great way to build my credit and my IRA after an awful divorce. I paid my credit card on time, more than the minimum payment, and finally after 4 months of the account being open, I paid it in full. They then closed my account stating that they believed the account was being or would be used fraudulently. When I contacted them, they stated that while they couldn't discuss specific transactions, they did a soft pull of my credit history and determined that I was a bad credit risk and closed the account. I was not allowed to dispute the allegations, and when I requested to speak with a supervisor to file a complaint, I wasnput on hold for about 10 minutes, then told that there was a high call volume and it would take longer. I was given the opportunity to continue holding, but declined.
Would give a ZERO if I could
Would give a ZERO if I could. Do not use their services absolute awful at EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!
Horrible customer service resolving dispute…
Horrible customer service in resolving a credit card dispute that was legitamate caused by a glitch in the financial system, never had that much difficulty in resolving disputes with other banks.

These idiots blocked my card and the authentication department put me on hold for 3 hours first time then 2.5 hours the next time and after I gave up they just canceled my card for suspicion of fraud. Worst customer service I've ever gotten in my life
I experienced an unlawful bill of $5000 Elan refused to investigage on my behalf.
I experienced an unlawful bill of $5000, which was my limit at the time. The company refused to investigate no matter what kind of proof I offered that the charge was bogus. After several months and the police and my bank reps intervening, someone said, whoops, that company that posted your bill also posted to other challenged/bogus bills. And this was their supposed security department responses. I tried to cancel my card, received a notice one month, and 6 months later received another bill (which was accurate), as I had forgotten to change credit cards with that automatic payment. I told them most companies tell the biller someone no longer has an account with them. Not Elen. It took me another 3-4 months to receive yet another letter closing my account, this time with a statement that should anyone else bill my account, it will be open. To me closed means closed. What do you think? Folks who answer the phone seem competitent and friendly, but you can't talk with anyone in a specific department or in management. Buyer beware--and prepared for lots of frustration with this company.
On hold forever twice!
I wish i could upload a screen shot of how long I was on hold for someone from the fraud department to pickup the phone! I was on hold for a bit over 1.5 hrs wanting to report a fraud application under my name and no luck!! Thats ABSURD!!!
My husband disputed a scam charge on…
My husband disputed a scam charge on his card. He called three times and every time was promised a credit on the transaction. The credit never occurred. The agents kept lying to him and the last one offered him an additional credit for his issues. Another lie. This is criminal.
Elan Financial Services is Fidelity's…
Elan Financial Services is Fidelity's Credit Card support. Elan is just a horrible company when it comes to customer service and telephone support. NEVER USE A FIDELITY CREDIT CARD! They pass you around endlessly to somebody new, and no one can help you, and they lie and hang up on you! I wish I could give them a rating OF ZERO.
Save yourself
Opened a balance transfer credit card and transferred my cc debt thinking it's fidelity but it's not, they immediately dropped my available credit by 30%, from what I see and read shady business is all they do, it's a shame fidelity associate themselves with this company
