The Warranty Exists… Until You Try to Use It

I bought a refurbished TV from this seller in September 2024. It came with a one-year warranty, which I foolishly thought might actually mean something.

When the LED layer failed within the year, the seller initially agreed to collect the TV for repair or replacement. They told me I needed to supply a suitable box and packaging for the collection — which I went out and bought at my own expense. Then, the moment I tried to book the collection, they performed an Olympic-level U-turn.

Suddenly, their elusive “engineer” — who assessed the TV from photos only, without ever laying eyes on it — declared the fault was “user error.” Conveniently, this diagnosis appeared after I’d spent money on packaging and followed all their instructions. Their earlier promise to repair or replace the TV evaporated instantly. So much for the “one-year warranty,” which seems to disappear the moment you try to use it.

When I questioned this sudden reversal, the customer service agent responded with the deeply insightful: “ok.” And then vanished.

I phoned the shop to escalate it. Every time, the manager was either on holiday, off sick, or permanently trapped in a meeting. At this point, the manager might as well be a mythical creature.

So here I am: stuck with a dead TV, a pointless warranty, packaging I bought for nothing, and a seller who went from cooperative to Houdini as soon as action was required.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise potential buyers to AVOID THIS SELLER. If your item develops a fault, expect disappearing acts, photo-based engineering, and appalling customer service.

Wrong item received

Had an issue where the wrong item was sent to me, called them, they asked for photos of the item's back with serial codes etc. Once this was done they called me back within the hour and confirmed what went wrong and arranged collection with the correct item being sent out. Overall the service was great and I have no fault to find. I base my review on how they handled an issue which can arise in any company

No issues at all…

I can't understand all the negative reviews being posted. I ordered a soundbar from this company via EBAY.
When I started reading all these negative reviews it made me nervous and asked myself if I will have a poor experience.
Today I received my soundbar with DPD courier.
The item was not in original packaging, but I expected that.
Credit where credit is due.
The item was packed so well it was like having porcelain or glass wrapped, perfect!
The item itself, works spot on without any signs of use or damage.
Apart from the plain box you would of thought it was brand new not a refurbished item.
So I am very happy with my order and the service.
Thanks very much 👍

Judge Wisely!

Would not deal again or recommend this Seller. Feedback clearly confirms history of faulty products, One of which I received and was replaced. On closer investigation & scrutiny of (REPAIRTECH LTD) some items sent to a Buyer give a strong impression that these are refurbished warranty repairs and sold on as NEW/UNUSED products, i.e., under the guise of e-bay seller Electrical-deals.

Not a fan of this company

Not a fan of this company. Really poor experience from the start. I guess if its to good to be true than it usually isn't would be accurate. The prices seemed very good in comparison. Disappointing

Major hassle dealing with these…

Major hassle dealing with these unprofessional people.

I received a tv only for it to show a faint rectangle maybe about three weeks after using.

The communication is very difficult as they do not respond unless you message them several times via Facebook, eBay and other means...

They also lied about the grades which they sent me.

Its just not worth the time and hassle to use these people.

Go elsewhere!

Excellent experience

Excellent experience. Bought a TV from them for 2/3rds the price on Amazon. It arrived in flawless condition with the protective film still on the trim and appeared to be a retired demo unit. Ordered on Sunday, received dispatch notification at 7:30am on Monday and TV delivered before 8am the next day.

All their stock is returned/refurbished gear and they only guarantee class B grade, but there’s a chance you’ll get something in near-new condition. Their 60 day free return policy for any faults is better than other dealers.

Sent me a TV with a dead damaged screen…timewasters

Sent me a TV with a dead damaged screen area.
Why would they sell this and make me go through the process of buying/waiting/getting disappointed/returning and waiting for my money to buy a new tv when they knew that it was defective?!
In addition, the stands in the tv where not even the correct ones...
Avoid at all costs, you've been warned!

Appalling.

Purchased an LG television in April…

Purchased an LG television in April 2018, it came up with lines on the screen and I have been unable to use it since September 2018. I have emailed them four times over a period of a week and phone on around three occasions and had no response. All electrical items come with one year guarantee so hoping I will get a response and replacement but I do not remain hopeful. I will be escalating to trading standard if I do not receive a reply soon.

Helpful Staff Low prices Excellent Service

Recently bought a Samsung PS42B430 from their factory shop in Oldham. The staff were knowledgeable about the products and I was able to compare 3 simiilar televisions in their showroom. I was really impressed with the price of only £343.99 for a 42 inch plasma tv, well recommended!
