I Feel Intimidated and Anxious

I am dealing with them now over a traffic fine. I hold my hands up and admit I have let it get this far but I have been coping with physical health issues which has affected my already diagnosed mental health. I am asking for a payment plan but they are saying the Finanical Statement I provided shows I can pay in full. I dont remember providing one, and I know my outgoings are more than my incomings. They show no empathy. I feel like they dont listen. I find them extremely Intimidating and my anxiety is through the roof. Councils need to look into them as I dont think They are suitable representatives for government bodies.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Equita. I received a call early in the morning at 7:00am, which immediately felt intimidating, as the caller was asking for my address and suggesting they would attend to seize my vehicle. I had never received any prior phone contact from the company, which made the situation extremely stressful.

Their approach felt unnecessarily aggressive and caused significant anxiety. When I contacted customer service to resolve the issue and make payment, the support provided was poor and unhelpful. Staff were unable to properly assist when payment systems repeatedly failed, leaving the matter unresolved despite my clear willingness to pay.

Overall, the communication methods and customer service standards were disappointing. The process felt rushed and pressurised rather than supportive or solution-focused. I would strongly encourage this company to improve how they communicate with customers and handle cases more professionally and respectfully.

Horrible company Horrible people! Forceful, intimidating, borderline illegal practices. Are these "people" regulated? As it seems they do and charge what the hell they like. Come up with random figures from years ago and bashing your door down if they don't get it NOW!!!! Even if you're genuinely ill and lost your job. I can't express my utter disgust enough!!! Horrible company Horrible people.

Absolute bunch of crooks

Absolute bunch of crooks , spoke to some idiot on the phone about some of their charges, one was for a visit from an agent that they charged me £235 for , so I looked through my cctv and guess what no one called , when i questioned this he told me the agent couldn’t get in because of the locked gate , i dont have a gate my garden is completely open , from my experience lies seem to be the norm for this company, its basically fraud charging you for something they didn’t do ,

My experience with Equita & their lack of respect for people undergoing serious health changes..

Equita is one of the most heartless and unprofessional companies I’ve ever experienced. Even after explaining my health challenges, their staff showed no empathy or humanity. They continued to torment me, ignoring my vulnerability entirely.

To make it worse, the PCN they harassed me over was recently cancelled by the Kingston Council, meaning Equita was relentlessly chasing a case that should never have been escalated.

This company is truly sickening, and councils should stop using them immediately.

I’ve just got off the phone to a lady…

I’ve just got off the phone to a lady that said my lowest monthly payment would need to be £175 even though I only earn £860 a month?? How is that feasible as a person who has a dependent and bills to pay. They don’t take anything into consideration. They just tell you either you pay it or you don’t?? I’m already struggling with my mental health and they don’t take the impact of someone not being able to provide for their 1 year olds food into consideration. I was told if you don’t pay they’ll add more fees on. All I asked was for a reduction considering I’ve had a pay cut that will make it difficult, I didn’t refuse to pay!. Honestly so shocking. I’m honestly feeling so helpless and don’t feel supported at all.

Got letter through the door so i rang to speak to agent. When told how much money I had left at end of month was sent to assistance team.
They wanted all my bank account transcripts for the past 4 months.. and still wouldn't accept what I could afford..
7 days later I get a goods removal letter and had 7 days to clear the amount before they visited the property.
Knowing I had multiple mental issues and had problems dealing with people. Made me panic and end up in hospital.
Since I had to take a loan out to cover amount and leave me in further debt because they didn't want to help someone get out if it..

Phoned them offered £50 pound a month declined straight away asking questions about work location ect very unhelpful and couldn't state much information on account about debt.phoned next day as didn't need them turning up scaring family ect accepted minimum 220 a month for 4 months too clear via card payment.I refused as don't trust this company at all offers direct debit no direct debit guarantee given conformation of planned DD via a short strange text.cant wait to get this sorted and never heard from this company also they operate together with Solaris law.

lack of communication

I received a letter from Equita stating I owed £395. I called them straight away to set up a payment plan, but they told me I’d have to contact the bailiff directly to arrange it. When I called the bailiff, I explained that I wanted to pay through a plan, but his response was, “No, I don’t do payment plans. If you don’t pay in 30 minutes, I’ll be adding £200 or taking the car.”
A day or so later, I called Equita again to make the payment, only to be told the balance had increased to £510 because no payment plan was set up — even though I had tried to do exactly that.
Dealing with both Equita and the bailiff was extremely frustrating. It’s clear that communication and professionalism are seriously lacking between them.

Fools.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced

Half hour wait for them to answer to be greeted by someone who sounded like a zombie with zero customer service skills. All I wanted to know was what is the procedure if bailiffs visit my property. He point blank refused to answer, when I asked again he just went silent. As I started to explain that all I wanted to know was if my mother in her 80s with dementia was home alone would the bailiffs force entry he just went silent again and refused to answer. Disgusting customer service which I can’t actually believe exists in this day and age.

I’d give zero if I could

I’d give zero if I could. Called to set up an arrangement pay 2 fines, no quibbles about us owing it but the pompous pr1ck demanded it’s all paid in 4 weeks with zero negotiation. The absolute arrogance was outstanding - I wouldn’t mind if I was trying to haggle the amount down but I said I’ll pay one in 4 weeks and the next in the next 4 weeks but no.
To Westmorland and Furness council- shame on you for dealing with these heartless scumbags - especially given the current financial climate and for people that actually would pay the fines.

They all sound like the same uninspired Monstrous generation with zero hope and zero prospects. I feel sorry for them I really do! This company offers them zero incentives chasing people for money and setting up payment plans is negativity breeding a whole generation of negativity. They are not equipped to retrieve funds from humans, they need to employ people with life experience and some empathy!!! Idiots
