User experience

I’ve had the misfortune to need to deal with the claims team, and have suffered nothing but problems for the last 4 weeks.
Poor communication. Only contact you when they need something. Don’t respond to customer requests for help. Unclear on expectations. No accountability (all emails are from “the claims team”). No process to escalate complaints (I’ve asked three times for their written complaints procedure and still had nothing on this).
After confirming, on a recorded call and in writing, that my claim would be settled “within 3-5 days” the funds failed to arrive after 5 days. When I queried this, I was told a document they had previously confirmed receipt of was missing, before the operator backtracked when challenged, and then told me they’d had a “system problem”.
Still waiting for funds to arrive, as they can’t make a payment for 72 hours. In 2026. Nobody cares. Without doubt, the worst company I’ve ever dealt with.

In comparison to other insurance companies it was a lot easier to navigate around your website and make a purchase.

Other insurance companies were confusing, even though they were cheaper, and was unsure what I was buying

Absolutely shambolic, had an accident over 4 weeks ago now, still awaiting feedback with reference to the mechanics review. Terrible i would not recommend this company to anyone.

Ease of obtaining insurance coverage at a competitive price

Easy renewal, wanted to stay with Esure so was pleased that their quote was competitive.

Easy to renew my home insurance and pay without an issue. Email received quickly as to how to access documents.

The process was straight forwatd, and custormer service was beutiful and pleasant

Thought they were good. I accepted an online quote with a new car registration, which it asked me to confirm, and provided me with a much cheaper quote.

Doing it online "didn't sync" with their system, and without communication, they tried to charge me over double the cost.

I've told them I won't be renewing with them unless this is fixed.

It was fine if a little 'clumsy'. Pity we missed notification of policy renewal and had to start a new process all over again. But we have stuck with Esure!

I’ve given this company 5⭐️s as more potential customers are likely to read them rather than the 1⭐️ reviews which are the ones you need to read!
I was thinking of insuring my home with ensure until I read the dreadful reviews and stress customers undergo trying to get claims resolved. The worst thing I read was esure’s answer to their reviews. Just telling them to send an email which, according to one lady, didn’t even get acknowledged or answered.
No thanks, I’ll steer clear of this company.

Great website easy to use, price is good so was the cover. I hope with any insurance I don’t need to contact you in the next 12 months 👍
