"I’m using a Nikon D810

"I’m using a Nikon D810, and I’ve noticed that some of my photos occasionally appear whitish or washed out. I’ve been told this might indicate a potential fault with the camera. I’d appreciate any help or advice on how to resolve this issue."

Absolutely shocking

I ordered a watch for my husband for Xmas in early December. It was supposed to come in 4-7 working days. It never arrived. I chased and chased and kept getting told it was on route. On 3rd January I was told that it had been delivered to my house when it hadn't. Turns out it had been delivered back to Nikon. Now I'm told I have to wait 14 working days for a refund due to this being 'the busiest time of year for returns'. Funny since I never even received the goods to return them. Never again would I purchase from this company.

NO actual aftercare at all…

Attempted to purchase genuine camera batteries, went to my counties nikon page found the listed dealers, and NONE of the resellers ever replied made a request to nikon directly and again no reply (well that's not strictly true) they sent an automated message asking me to rate the level if customer service I had received which was actually NONE

Mis-diagnosis of faulty B700

Company refuse to repair my Coolpix B700 which I returned under warrantly as it would not switch on, as it was deemed water damaged which is completely untrue. I have also used a B500 and neither camera function well in the sun or in humid conditions. The lens sticks in place and the camera kept switching off with an error message about doing this to save "overheating". I was extremely careful with both cameras to keep them in the shade when not in use, and in a Dry-bag inside my rucksack. Customer services fobbed me off, clearly not prepared to escalate my complaint about the diagnosis. They told me that I had to get the shop who had returned it to send it back to them, would not deal with me directly. I was not able to persuade them to try to recreate the conditions when the camera stopped working and admit they were wrong to accuse me of damaging the camera myself and trying to scam them for repair under warrantly. I believe the cameras have a basic flaw, they do not work well in sunny conditions. Coolpix is a very unfortunate name, or perhaps very appropriate, only use on a cold day. Won't be buying a Nikon again and found their customer service staff very unhelpful and inflexible.

Very bad experience!

Very bad experience!
I have been using a 3200 for almost 6 years and decided to upgrade to the 5600. After a few testing I noticed that the camera has problems focusing (and many more).
- View finder is blurry (even after adjusting diopter)
- Camera becomes hot after 1 hour of clicking and focus points do not move anymore
- Part where the focus point is directed, is not sharp in focus and ruins the whole picture
- The battery goes after 4 hours, and I am not using Snapbridge
- Auto is overexposed
- Shutter priority gives either over or underexposed pics
- Exposure meter gives also wrong exposure: says it is perfectly exposed, but it is just too black.

I sent the camera back and they tell me that everything is fine. I send pics showing the problems, including the focus test pictures that clearly show the camera is not working, and nothing.. they keep saying that all is fine.
The last excuse is that my micro lens (105) is not well calibrated: actually it is, as it works perfectly well on my old 3200.

I spent more than 700€ in this camera and I cannot use it. I love macro and now I just feel so sad with this.
Any of you has ever had such a similar experience?..
Can anybody advice me on what to do pls..
I am really disappointed and.. very sad...

Thank you in advance,
Cristina.

Was a trusted Name, now Nikon a bad joke

Was a trusted Name, now Nikon a bad joke

For years I always aspired to have a Nikon Camera, looking with envy at others with the Nikon name, how wrong was I.

What a terrible experience I have had with NIKON

Purchased a Nikon 7100 camera and lens, from what I understood was a UK company, based in London. The camera never focused from arrival, months of reading believing it was me not understanding the complicated instructions, research on-line, messages to the shop and Nikon, to the point I had virtually stopped taking photos, which was my hobby, knowing that getting the camera out and setting it up would result in a very poor image.
After more discussions with Nikon, sample photos, on tripod, off tripod, this setting, that setting Nikon UK said they needed to see the camera. The shop said they wanted to send it to the USA to be tested.

Nikon UK then said the camera serial number meant it was NOT covered by Europe Warranty so would be chargeable (on a new camera!!) so what do you do? send it to Nikon UK or USA?

This is despite the Nikon web site saying this is not the case,

Decided to send it to Nikon UK, advised that we would need packing label, they sent a guy to collect with a tiny sticky bar code, saying it would be marked, labelled and packed at the depot.

Had to chase to check the camera arrived, and a week later got the news the camera was damaged!!! and they wanted £125 to fix it.

It was not damaged, I had it independently inspected first as I had read on-line this is what they might do, and sure enough this is what happened.
So I am left now with no camera, and the choice of paying to repair a new camera, or have it returned now apparently damaged.

Would you trust Nikon? I wrote to the MD of Nikon UK and he just passed it on, so now its over to trading standards and Nikon Head office, all because I bought a Nikon camera. Nikon UK will not reply.

Nikon corporate web site says,
Our corporate philosophy of “Trustworthiness & Creativity” — simple words that are not easily put into practice. These important words represent unchanging principles to which we will always be dedicated.
“Our Aspirations” mean not only to meet the needs of customers but also to provide customers with new value that exceeds their expectations.
“Meeting needs. Exceeding expectations.” is our vision for the future.

Sadly this is NOT my experience, would you choose a Nikon now?
