I also requested a locking wheel nut when I first viewed the car (as it was missing) and they advised that they'd see about getting one sorted when I picked up the car. On pickup a week later, they still didn't have one so I asked for it to be sent to my address and they advised it'd be sent the next week. The week came and went and still didn't arrive. I called multiple times on the second week and was advised that the person I dealt with wasn't in so couldn't address my query. Eventually I was passed to the manager who was able to get someone to call me back about what was happening with the wheel nut (on back order). Since then, the MOT advisory for the brakes needed addressing and I still didn't have the nut so have had to get them replaced altogether.

1.The mechanics were unable to attempt to diagnose the fault that I highlighted because of lack of time.
2.I was telephoned on the day at approximately 15.30 and told that the car would be ready in about 45 minutes from then. I attended at 16.15 but had to wait until after 17.00 to drive away the car.
3.I had to return to the service desk to request that the service entry be completed and stamped in the service record book.

They never call you back or return emails when you have a query. They you are fobbed off face to face with some excuse you wouldn't give to a child.

Avoid if you need your car for work!Absolute joke of a service. I booked my car in for an MOT, which takes less than an hour to actually complete. Instead, they demanded I leave the vehicle for the entire day, completely stranding me without a way to get to work. To make matters worse, they didn't even offer a courtesy car. I only managed to get my car back a little early because I forced the issue and complained. Completely unhelpful and showed zero respect for my time. Will not be returning.

I have been trying to get through to the parts department for 5 days! Phone just ringing, I had a web chat and they said we will get someone to ring you, nobody rang. I contacted sales 3 times who all took my details and said I'll go and give your details to parts department and get them to ring you! Still nothing. Im not wasting my time anymore trying, absolutely rubbish customer service, they obviously don't want the work! I needed my car sorting asap as im a full time carer, 5 days of trying is disgusting. If i could give 0 stars I would

Difficult to book service.
No courtesy pick and drop even in a service plan

No loan car when 1 was promised. Car didn’t actually arrive back faultless. Not recharged as it should have been. Not a good experience.

Purchased a BMW 1 Series from them in January 2026. I collected it on 18 February and the problems started immediately.
Faulty parking brake, tyre needed replacing, windscreen wiper needed replacing, parts falling from underneath the car, juddering, poor fuel economy, drivetrain malfunction and reduced engine power.
No service book provided, no MOT certificate provided.
I reported the latest fault on 19 May and the car went into Evans Halshaw on 22 June. It is now 26 August and they have had my car for over 9 weeks.
They diagnosed a misfire and replaced the coil pack and spark plugs. Their own Service Manager then confirmed in writing that “there is still the fault on your car” after the repair.
I formally rejected the car on 14 July. They refused the rejection on Monday 24 August and are now telling me to wait until 14 September for an appointment with a BMW retailer to diagnose it. That would make it almost 3 months with my car in their possession.
No courtesy car has been provided. I was told on Monday they are booked up to 12 weeks in advance. This begs the question — why was I not put on the waiting list before now?!
I have had to pay for a hire car myself while still paying finance, insurance and tax on a car I cannot use.
The customer service has been just as bad. Calls and emails have gone unanswered, promised callbacks have not been made and constant chasing has been required.
On 30 July, management promised me a formal response by 7 August. Nothing. I had to chase again on 20 August.
This is what I’ve been left with:
Repeated faults. Failed repair. 9+ weeks without my car. Rejection refused. No courtesy car. Missed deadlines. Constant chasing. Additional expense. Still no resolution.
I bought a car from a main dealer. I expected the car to be fit for purpose and, when something went wrong, I expected the dealership to deal with it properly.
Instead, I’ve spent months chasing Evans Halshaw while they continue to hold my car.
This is the worst after-sales experience I’ve ever had. I have completely lost confidence in Evans Halshaw and would not buy another car from them or recommend them to anyone.
They have been absolutely abysmal.

The service department categorically do not answer their phones! I have had multiple causes to call them and everytime without fail it just rings and rings and rings. Today I rang at 11:55. By 12 no one had answered. The customer service is shocking once they have sold you the car. Absolutely no aftercare. Do not buy a car here. Find a better company.

Will never be ever go to Evans halshaw in Leeds 12 again. Chris service manager is vile, young lady on reception bike and rude. Accused me of threatening staff (never did I threaten anyone). Spoken to and shouted at in a vile manner, got into my Face too trying to intimidate me as a small woman. Dealt with someone else there, supposed to sort the recall issue out on my car, 1 week later heard nothing, rang left a message to ring me for an update once again nothing. Was told by another member of staff that it had been dealt with all wrong. No apology no nothing. Customer service is shocking avoid at all costs
Rang up to arrange a test drive for a car, then drove for 2 hours for the test drive only to find it would not start and they had no way of anyone looking at it further. Then the sales consultant informed the car didn’t have a current MOT, so I couldn’t have test driven it anyway. Complete waste of my time. No timescale for fixing any issues with the car either.

Although I had over an 8 week wait (which is just not good service time) to repair a faulty horn I finally got it repaired. LEEDS GELDARD RD HYUNDAI
All the staff Dan & service manager were very helpful and I can only praise their friendliness & work. Tony the mechanic was particularly helpful and did my repair-he’s was lovely. The service manager was great too. All the sales staff there are always helpful, friendly & funny. I really like the vibe here just a shame they clearly don’t have the space or staff to deal with the servicing of all the cars they sell. Sort this out Evan’s halshaw & you’ll have a cracking place on geldard road.

Went in to enquire about a new vehicle and met with sales person Morgan. Had a great experience. A really genuine sales person, friendly, helpful and not pushy in the least. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and my budget. I really liked the new Sante Fe and he worked really hard with his team to get me the best deal he could. While I wasn’t able close the deal today, I’ll certainly be back in a few months when my current deal expires. Thank you Morgan. It was a pleasure to deal with a really genuine and friendly person.
