Good luck trying to reach a human
A simple wire transfer request was put on hold "for additional information" with a request to call the customer service number. Of course that number routes to an endless series of hold prompts, unassigned voice mailboxes and no callbacks no matter how many messages I leave. Closing my accounts and moving to a real bank.
Do not use this company!!!! You've been warned.
You have been warned, do not trust this company with your money. It's very easy to put money into the account and extremely frustrating to get your own money out of the account. The forty eight hour review process has now been an over a week, long process to which, when I was scheduled for a call back, I received it. And once put on, hold was hung up on the second time. I called I never received that call back and i'm sure I will not receive a call back because it is now currently four forty eight, and i'm sure that they're gonna tell me the people who could give me any answers are no longer available until the next day. I am glad that I have recently retained a lawyer, whom I will be reaching out to for further assistance.
This should not be the case, and customer service should be more helpful and available when there are issues.
I will get this resolved to my satisfaction, but for those of you who are wondering if this company is a safe place for your money, IT IS NOT.

Only had an account open for 3 days and I'm already frustrated. Logged in once and saw my money that was already taken from my external account still was not there. then I got locked out when I tried the next day and haven't been able to get into my account even with customer service help. Not comfortable having hundreds of dollars sitting in a account I don't even have access to. Not worth it

No Problems!!!
We've been with EverBank for a couple of years now and never had a problem. All of our transactions go through without a hitch. The debit cards always work, the checks were free, and the HYSA has a competitive rate that gets adjusted up if the Fed raises interest rates. We have never really needed customer service for anything, so I can't comment on that experience.

Excellent Customer Service
Ability to communicate and to illustrate patience in the process made our transaction extremely smooth and informative. Bravo!

I’m so upset right now, trying to add beneficiaries to my account and it’s like rocket science for no reason. Starting to hate this bank! It’s my freaking money and it’s the longest process to get it.

Hello,
Hello,
The restrictions placed on my joint account needs to be removed immediately and request to close account be processed.
After multiple phone calls and speaking with several specialists and senior specialist Kirk and Analyst Alajendro I have not been able to get this account released.
I have already filed complaints with CFPB and DFPI to address this matter.
Go ahead and remove the restrictions so that we don't have to go through further escalation of this matter.
My next step would be to contact my Senators and congresswoman and seek their assistance and inform them of the conduct I have been subjected to.

Business account woes
Business account woes. Impossible to access over phone. 4 different security checks to get in. Just almost impossible to do anything online in a business account.

Logging in online is horrible
Logging in online is horrible! You have to use a cell phone or tablet because they have an authentication process that requires using a mobile device. I hardly ever use one so I cannot get through. Should add email to choices for obtaining authentication code.

I am a 95 year old man with numerous handicaps regarding my vision and hearing. Because of my inability to navigate your security system I have been walked out numerous times and find it difficult to work my way through to my world markets account and get my balances and deal with my C D.
I have been trying to reach a human being in the support area and get my credentials straightened out once and for all. I am beginning to become paranoid about my relationship with EverBank.
Please get back to me with information of how to reach a English-speaking human support person.

Terrible customer service
I tried to open a high performance savings account with Everbank and everything went fine until I got to the step for setting up online access to my account. I was told that I already had an online account. That was a surprise to me, since I'd closed the account I'd had with Everbank a few years ago. Trying to sign in with the info Chrome had saved led to an error message. When I tried to reset my username/password, I was led to a time-consuming form. At the last step, I got the message that I already had an online account. The beginning of an endless loop. I called customer service and got no help at all. The person I talked to was, in fact, extremely rude, and didn't seem to care that they hadn't resolved my issue. I am backing out of this savings account, and I wish I hadn't tried to open an account with Everbank before I'd read the reviews on this site that confirm that customer service - even normal banking service - is very poor with this bank.

Do not open an account here
I have had an account with Everbank for over a year. While I maintained a 6 figure balance they loved me. When I requested to queue up ACH withdrawals of part of my balance (because they only allow 10k at a time) they immediately locked my account. No Access, No service. I called, they kept me on hold for 45 minutes then hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. called a branch, who also had a supervisor hang up on them. At this point they have locked up my funds, refuse to assist for "24-48 hours while they review" and I cannot even log into my account. I will be reporting them to the State Attorney general for fraud and mismanagement

WARNING - Think Twice Before Trusting EverBank With Your Money
EverBank is refusing to honor a Payable-On-Death (POD) beneficiary designation and release the funds!
I have been dealing with EverBank for approximately six weeks trying to receive funds from an account on which I am the named Payable-on-Death beneficiary.
EverBank has confirmed to me on at least six separate occasions - in person, by phone, in writing, and through personnel in its corporate office - that I am the beneficiary on the account.
I was told that I simply needed to provide the account holder's death certificate and my identification in order for the funds to be released. I did exactly that.
I also have EverBank's own signed beneficiary designation naming me as the POD beneficiary, along with EverBank correspondence for the account reflecting “POD.” After being notified of the account holder's death, EverBank even contacted me requesting the death certificate.
Despite all of this, EverBank is now refusing to honor the POD designation and release the funds. Instead, I have been given different answers and sent down an entirely different estate process that does not address the beneficiary designation on the account.
What should have been a straightforward beneficiary payment has turned into weeks of them not responding at all at first, frustrating phone calls, letters, contradictory information, and being unable to receive money that EverBank's own records show is payable to me.
This has been extremely concerning. On top of losing someone very close to me, I'm having to deal with person after person at EverBank who refuses to help me.
My friend has been with EverBank for probably 10 or so years and they trusted that when they named someone a beneficiary, they would be paid according to the bank's own rules regarding POD accounts - and instead EverBank wants to play games and refuse to honor it...and even address it! It is absurd what they are doing.
When someone places money with a bank and takes the time to designate a beneficiary, they should be able to trust that the bank will honor those instructions when the time comes.
I have even filed a case with the OCC (office of the comptroller of the currency) reporting their behavior.
In my experience, EverBank is untrustworthy, unknowledgeable, and incredibly unhelpful. I would never use them nor recommend them.
I have seen many other reviews here where people are having challenges getting their money out of Everbank. I encourage you to report your situation to the OCC-Helpmewithmybank.org.

Absolutely unacceptable experience
Absolutely unacceptable experience. My money has been tied up for over a week after making completely legitimate transfers, and despite calling three separate times, I still have no resolution.
I was promised a callback that never happened. To make matters worse, the representative I spoke with, Candace, was extremely rude, completely unhelpful, and actually hung up on me.
Security is one thing. Blocking access to a customer’s own money for days, when this is my emergency fund, failing to follow up, and treating them disrespectfully is another. I have completely lost confidence in this bank and would strongly recommend taking your money elsewhere.

EverBank telephone service is very complete with USA telephone customer service reps providing complete product information. I have never had to wait on hold for a long time & all reps are also very patient & courteous. The web-site is easy to navigate with all the info readily available.

If I could give neg I would
Response is word for word identical to every other reply. I have called but I am told the same thing every time. My account was locked, they can't tell me why, someone will call me in 3-5 days but I can't access my account (or buy my kids food!!!) In the meantime. If I could give neg I would! I opened an account online on 8/1/26 and deposited a $10,000 check from my step father after my mother passed away. The bank put a 7 day hold on the check and said the funds were available 8/8/2026, but as I tried to access the funds I was unable to do so. I tried several transfers and hooked my account up externally through my other bank. They denied all transaction except a couple of Zelle transfers. Monday morning 8/10/26 they locked me out of my account with no explanation and will not let me access my account or funds and said it will be a few days before they even call and speak to me about it. I have kids I need to feed and my husband is supposed to have oral surgery but I can not take any of my money out of the bank. I did not go over any of the limits they set for transfers yet they will not even speak to me about it and I am supposed to wait days with no way to feed my kids or pay bills?

Nightmare Chalkenge
I wanted to fund a CD so a week ago and I submitted attemp to fund a CD in excess of 250,009 but because it was in excess of 250k they insisted I transfer the money to a new savings account that I now had to open . And then it could fully fund. So I opened their savings account and funded that but it then allegedly took 4 days for the ACH to clear. Once cheated I was told I can transfer all into the zero balance CD but of course when I went to do that they said it would take a few more days due to back office having to process that and I couldn’t just transfer it internally even though I. Was told I could . My frustration then led me to simply take my money back and was advised that they had a 10k daily limit on transfers with a 30k monthly limit so it would almost a year to get my money back. The representative suggested a wire but that there’s would be a 25.00 charge to do the wire. She said she would try to get the 25.00 waived but no luck. I’m still waiting fur my wire to hit my linked bank account. But stay away from this bank because their limits of transfers out will hold your money! Or penalize you for wanting your money back. They are the worst bank I ever experienced dealing with with.
