Avoid.

Bruce and team fitted a Solidor.

Within approximately six months of the original installation, the door developed a significant warping defect, rendering it unfit for purpose. I reported this to Bruce. Despite persistent and repeated chasing on my part over a period of approximately six months, a replacement door was not fitted until roughly twelve months after the original installation. Within a further six months, the replacement door has now developed the identical warping defect.

Bruce refuses to do anything or than keep replacing the door.

Looks like he's also deleted all the negative reviews from Google as well.

Quality installation and friendly installers

After a search for a window installer for quality flush anthracite external/white internal double glazed windows, we got down to 4 different companies. Of the 4 we visited, we eliminated a pure sales organisation, an organisation that was shoddy and were left with two companies with similar products. Excelsior were able to demonstrate their product, whereas the other had no showroom.

We engaged with Excelsior at a price about 30% above the nearest rival, but the customer care was exceptional. During the course of the install, the install team were friendly, engaging and any issues were managed without conflict.

At the end of the install, the managing director visited to check and resolve a couple of manufacturing issues, which were not caused by Excelsior.

I would recommend Excelsior as a high quality installer, who are value for money. I would happily use them again, if I have the opportunity.

We recently had 9 windows and 2 doors…

We recently had 9 windows and 2 doors fitted and are really pleased with the whole experience.

Bruce was great to deal with from the start — friendly, professional and easy to communicate with. The fitting team were excellent: polite, accommodating and they kept everything clean and tidy throughout.

One of the jobs involved replacing a window with a door, which meant removing brickwork and replastering. The finish on this was great and blends in perfectly.

The windows themselves look brilliant and have made a big difference to the house. There were a few minor snags afterwards, but these were dealt with promptly and without any fuss.

Overall, a very positive experience and we’d happily recommend them.

Our windows and doors were 18 years old…

Our windows and doors were 18 years old and the double glazed untits were beginning to blow. Excelsior were offering triple glazed for the price of double. What a great choice. Bruce said it would take about a week but Tanner and his team completed in just three days. 2 bay windows, 8 other windows, 3 of which were 2.4m long , three doors and a bifold door. Carpets covered and cleaned up at the end of each day. No decorating needed. We chose anthracite on the outside and white on the inside. So much brighter indoors and the house is so much quieter. Great job

Bruce fixed mysterious problem with our door

An intermittent fault with a door from Excelsior developed one year after fitting. Every few days the lock (and hence the door) couldn't be opened, even after any amount of wiggling the key/the handle, only for it to free itself later on in the day. Bruce was very helpful. He suggested we send him a video of us trying to open the door next time it happened, and send it to him so he could work out what was going on. He showed it to the lock manufacturer, then came back and tightened a small screw which keeps the lock in a 90 degree position that had worked loose, and the door has been no trouble since.

My review mirrors most of the others

My review mirrors most of the others, a few years ago I called on Bruce for a couple of issues with my windows, he came out quickly and resolved the problems.
I now have a window problem and despite phone calls answer phone messages not replied to text messages not replied to I have not a single reply from him. The company customer service now is appalling. It seems I will have to go to another company

Just had new windows fitted

Just had new windows fitted. Excellent service from start to finish. Damien the filter was excellent his work ethic was exceptional. While finishing is he also adjusted the patio doors. No complaints at all

Appalling aftercare, such disappointment.

We have been trying to contact Bruce from Excelsior for weeks. He finally sent fitters who agreed that one of the patio doors with integral blinds and the front door which has warped needs replacing.
We have called, whatsapped, messaged over 20 times since they came a couple of weeks ago and haven’t heard anything. No replies at all.
Bitterly disappointed and will now be taking this further when it could have been so easily resolved.

Appalling aftercare

I have had the same experience with this company as others and advise anybody out there not to even consider using them. They replaced my double glazing 18 months ago but the kitchen window was not fitted properly. I stressed that it wasn’t going to be a big job to rectify it, but I have lost count how many times we have been in touch trying to get Bruce to come out to look at it. It is thanks to Certass involvement that after all this time we have had a result. Finally it was agreed that he would visit today - not surprisingly Bruce did not have the courtesy to turn up in person but instead sent a fitter. The aftercare is non existent. I bitterly regret using the company.

Avoid Excelsior Windows Ltd

One of the worse companies I have experienced, We purchased a brand new house which Excelsior Windows Ltd had supplied and fitted the doors and windows to. Even before we had moved in they were notified of defects which they never sorted.

We have been here a year now and the door is still not fixed and all windows need replacing.

I gave a final 14 days notice to provide a solution, and nothing came through, the latest from the MD is that he's now trying to pretend they never supplied or fitted them to "ME" assuming to try and avoid having to do anything.

Any builders out there thinking of using Excelsior I would not get involved, they will bring your reputation down to their level
