It's a great institute to learn Spanish, with a very friendly environment. I will be joining the classes again in a couple of months. However, for beginners, the speed needs to be slowed down slightly through more classroom practise and speaking.

In our Evening beginner groups, the rhythm is usually quite gradual, especially during the first weeks, as new students can join and we regularly review previous content to help everyone feel confident. It’s possible that you joined a group that had already been running for a little while, which may have made the pace feel faster than usual.
That said, we always want our students to feel supported. If we had known during the course that you felt the speed was a bit fast, we could have provided extra review materials or followed up more closely to make sure you felt fully comfortable with the content. Please don’t hesitate to let us know next time — we’re always happy to help and adapt wherever possible.

There are other places that will fight 4 yr business
I contacted them to learn what kinds of lessons they offer for advanced Spanish speakers. I received a very basic email. I had to write again to Maryana to get a clearer understanding. Again she answered a basic answer. That's when she probably decided she is not going to invest in me anymore and did not address the issue I was concerned about. I guess this was too much for Maryana and she opens the emails but no longer answers them. You dont get to ask questions there and you certainly dont get direct answers.

I’ve been here many times
I’ve been here many times, and this time was a bit better than usual — mainly thanks to the teacher, who was very nice and engaging.
However, I still don’t like the system. You never really finish a topic until you’ve truly understood and can use it; instead, they rush through the book from chapter to chapter, no matter if students follow or not.
The facilities and location of the school are great — definitely an upgrade.
Still, I feel very anonymous here; nobody really looks after your individual needs.
In my opinion, this school is perfect for young people who want to have fun and meet others. But the 30+ classes feel a bit out of place. Altogether, it’s a good school for young students, but for those over 30, other places might be more suitable.

Great school for both short and long visits to Madrid
I would definitely recommend Expanish for improving or learning Spanish. I had an amazing few months in Madrid and really don't feel like I could've picked a better school for my stay. Expanish really focus on the students and their well being, by offering immersive classes, invested teacher and fun activities outside of school. I really looked forward to going to school every day I stayed in Madrid.
My favorite part of Expanish was the teachers. They're really focused on improving your Spanish and put together classes to help their students understand, not just rehearse. The teachers were also very invested in their students improvements, and really worked hard to ensure that every student was at a good level in their learning.
Another great thing about Expanish was that the location and school premises was top quality. The school is fresh and modern and the location is super central and very easy to commute to.
All in all I could not recommend Expanish more if you're considering learning Spanish in Madrid. Im eternally grateful for all the memories and experiences I had in Madrid, many thanks to Expanish.

My week at Expanish
Gabriel, our tutor was excellent. Very energetic and enthusiastic. He held our concentration and was patient with us. I felt I learned a lot. All of the staff were very helpful. The games were fun and the outings good too.

The school is really really great. It is in a lovely area and is really well connected. The Retiro Park is nearby. The staff is really friendly. My teacher was also great and I learned a lot.

I've had a great 2 week experience in Expanish, the teacher was amazing, I learned a lot, the level was fine and if not I could easy move to another class. The class vibe was very cool. Definitely recommend!

This school is amazing
This school is amazing. I‘ve been there twice and i highly recommend this school. The location of the school is in salamanca…the closest metro is one minute away…The activities in the afternoon are really nice. Laura is a perfect host for this. Also the teachers are amazing…all other students are literally from all over the world and its really nice to male new friends there…i really enjoyed my time at this school and will will definitely come back.
