Why can’t there be an option for 0 stars? A total waste of time and money. I signed up for 1 month and then was charged again. During that month, I got 0 jobs that even came close to matching.

Dear Ms. Speer,

Thank you for your feedback.

Experteer is on online service based on a subscription model.
As we have explained to you in our email, it is stated on the sign-up page when you subscribe to the Premium membership that you have to cancel it before the renewal date otherwise it will be extended.

Regarding the jobs you receive, please note that the job recommendations are based on the information that you have in your profile. If your profile is not complete, then it is difficult to the system to find jobs that they match. Or, your profile is only 70% filled out.
Also, you don't have any saved searches.
Your job search would be much more successfull if you filled your profile at 100 % and if you used the job search (the saved search) to be notified about relevant jobs on a regular base.

Kind regards,
Your Social Media Team

The worst Job recruitment site that I…

The worst Job recruitment site that I have ever come across! They are a bunch of scam artists who are only interested in taking your money. No email is sent by their customer service indicating that subscription is about to end and they just automatically take your money! I complained to their Customer Services and all they have to say is that “ Unless you inform us before the expiration of your subscription, it will be renewed automatically. This information is displayed clearly on the Premium sign-up page.“. Avoid these charlatans at any cost!!!

I agree with the majority of the reviews. It's just a scam to have you pay for listing available through free platforms. DO NOT USE.

Not really worth paying for.

Not the best but not as bad as people are saying here other than the fact most of the jobs there (including paid ones) are available for free on reed, total jobs etc. Reasonable selection if looking around London in IT or Medical.

Cancelled my membership since purchase and they accepted the cancellation and refund as it was within 14day legal requirement.

Worthless Scam!

This service is horrible and adds no value. I submitted the link to cancel the service And they send you an email that says you have to click on the email link. I clicked on the email link and it just takes you back to their website. Then they continue to bill you each month. I’ve had to find it through my credit card company. This is a scam of a company. Do not use it!

CANCEL PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION EXPERTEER

Dear Experteer,

I want to cancel my Experteer account, it is stated that to do so I need to cancel my Premium subscription.
To do so I must go click on the upper part but I can't really find where to do so.
When I enter in the help zone to contact you on the subject, automatically the sistem is resending you the same message to cancel your account.
Now Im not a genious but have university degree and using the web from when it exists, so it is clear you make all what you can to make the "contract cancellation" unbearable.
Please be so kind and help me go through this.

This site makes it impossible for you…

This site makes it impossible for you to cancel. They state your account will be active another 30 days after you request to cancel which means they will bill you. When you click the cancel button you have to enter your password. You enter the password and a new message appears stating you have to confirm your request through the email and make sure your email is correct. They never send the email allowing you to confirm your request and therefore your account is not cancelled.

Dear Mr. Harris,

thank you for your feedback.
A cancellation with experteer is always possible until the day before the automatic renewal, which is clearly explained when signing up. You will be charged for the new term immediately unless your payment details have expired. In that case you will be sent reminders which is what happened in your case. A cancellation is then possible for the next date either online with a second confirmation in an email which might end up in your SPAM folder depending on the security setup of your computer. There is always the option to cancel via an e-mail to our customer service directly (support@experteer.com).
Thanks for understanding that stopping reminders requires a payment based on the payment reminders first.

I've been paying for this service for 3 months without a single job lead. I tried to cancel my membership, but the website is completely obscure on how to do this. I am out of work, so the last thing I need is to be paying $25 per month for a service that does NOTHING. Do not be fooled into buying this.

I have checked our communication history and can confirm that we received your request.

The Premium Membership is renewed automatically unless you inform us before the expiration of your subscription. This information is displayed clearly on the Premium sign-up page.

The cancellation of the premium membership is possible until the last day of the subscription by simply letting us know by email, or alternatively it can be done from the account by clicking on the cancellation button.

Or, as we have explained to you in our email, you never cancelled this membership in due time.

Avoid at all costs, the worst company i have ever dealt with. total scum.

The only thing to say is that they are a complete joke. They auto renew your membership with a mind bending amount of small print when you sign up and then continue to take money from you for absolutely nothing in return. The job vacancies are just linked from other sites and If anyone has ever even been "head hunted" for job through these absolute whoppers I probably still wouldn't believe it. They send you no emails, texts or any form of warning about the auto renewal which i presume is how they con so many people and is no doubt there main revenue stream.

They do nothing else LinkedIn doesn't already do for you for free. All they do if you dispute the cost if threaten to wreck your credit file should you not comply like the corporate bullies they show themselves to be. Use other sites and Boycott this company I cannot stress how utterly useless they are.

Dear Customer,

Thanks for your feedback.
We offer two sorts of job search possibilities. It is extremely advisable to use the direct job search and apply for jobs yourself which helps you to actively influence your chances of finding a new job through experteer.
As opposed to most of our competitors experteer is intended for senior professionals with earnings of at least €60,000/£45,000/$100,000 per year. We list only positions that offer a benchmark salary of at least these amounts. We currently offer over 250.000 of such opportunities on our site. The majority of these positions require several years of professional experience and related education.
The experteer basic membership is free of charge and offers you to search actively within 20% of all jobs related to your profile already. The premium membership is indeed a paid service and is renewed automatically in order to provide continuous service, but can be cancelled any day prior to the renewal - online or via e-mail to our customer service.

Please send us an e-mail to info@experteer.com/support@experteer.com or service@experteer.com and we will be happy to clarify what happened in your case.

Kind regards,

Nothing you can't find anywhere else…

Nothing you can't find anywhere else but at an astronomical cost. Tried to cancel for over 18 months. 18 months ago tried to cancel via email, twice. No response. A year ago I cancelled online but the day before it renewed and it hadn't processed so they renewed me anyway. This time I cancelled online, received an email, verified I wanted to cancel (in AUGUST) and it just renewed anyway today. Are you kidding me? No customer service number, no way to reach anyone, and they refuse to refund money. Scam through and through. I should be owed back over $300 since I have legitimately tried to cancel at least 3 times, with verifiable proof. I can't tell you how much I despise companies like this.

Dear Ms. Titus,

thanks for your feedback.

A cancellation is always possible via mail to info@experteer.com/support@experteer.com or service@experteer.com (respective e-mail addresses for USA and UK customers as per our terms and conditions) before the automatic renewal which all premium customers are informed about when signing up. The experteer month is 30 days which is clearly indicated in our terms and conditions on the site. Every cancellation e-mail is immediately answered by the system with a ticket number. This e-mail (including ticket number) serves as proof that you have canceled. Latest after 48 hours our team will reply in addition with the exact date of your cancellation.

Please note that you can always call our customer service at +49 (0) 89 55 27 93 - 150 from Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CET

Thanks for understanding that all cancellations via e-mail after the renewal (time) will be cancelled for the next possible date. Our customer service will send you a confirmation once your e-mail has been received.

Please contact us via e-mail or phone and we will certainly clarify what happened in your case.

Worst UX and service paired with no benefit at all

When I was looking for a job I created my account and as many functionalities only work with Premium I thought the money could be invested well.

It was quite some effort to build a profile and make it as good as the app tells you to, even if most similar services already offer LinkedIn log-in.

Since i haven't received ANY interesting offer at all, I kind of forgot about it and also did not think of canceling. So my fault one could say.

Still there was no E-Mail telling you that the membership will renew soon as other good app providers send them, neither did I get one after it renewed, making me aware of the situation. All I got was a E-Mail from Paypal telling me that I got billed again.

I immediately tried to cancel my membership, when I reached another barrier that must be there on purpose. Worst UX I've ever seen. To cancel a Contract you have to open Experteer on a Webbrowser because the app does not support that functionality as it is hidden and can only be reached via several steps, redirecting several times until you get asked to somehow create a Ticket to cancel. Might be a bit less difficult as I described but since I'm used to waaaaaay easier and more service oriented UX out there I was really disappointed again.

Needles to say that after reaching out to the service team by creating another ticket, they showed no effort in reacting to my criticism but instead send me some standard reply telling me it was my mistake.

Experteer scam

Just like everyone else on here I am constantly being bombarded with emails every day! There should be some kind of option under European law for them to display an option to unsubscribe. I cannot like everyone on this post find this option? I've been forced not into mailing them direct. I've tried as they say logging in and unsubscribing, but that just makes you go through the process of signing up first! If this continues I will have no option but to report this to ICO "Under Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), any organisation has to stop using your personal information for direct marketing purposes if you ask them to do so."
