Avoid at all costs.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has genuinely left me angry and extremely disappointed.

We’ve been using Expert Skip Hire throughout our house renovation over the past few months without any major issues - until now. To make matters worse, it took over a week for them to collect the skip, which significantly disrupted our renovation and caused excess materials to pile up around it.

When the driver finally arrived, he suddenly decided the skip was “overflowing.” This made no sense, as it was no different from the previous skips they had collected from us. Instead of handling the situation professionally- such as removing a few appropriate items or discussing a solution- the driver began digging through the skip and throwing random materials out.

I watched the entire incident on my doorbell camera. He was pulling out small, insignificant items like wood offcuts and bits of metal that clearly wouldn’t have caused the skip to exceed its limit. If there was genuinely an issue, why not remove larger items from the top instead?

What’s worse is how he handled it. He threw debris across my driveway, into the road, and against my wall, leaving the entire area in a complete mess. There was no warning, no communication, and absolutely no care for the property. The way the materials were thrown was aggressive and completely unacceptable—bordering on vandalism.

I even called the company while this was happening, and they showed no concern whatsoever. No attempt to intervene, no accountability, and no effort to resolve the situation.

After multiple prior uses, this incident has completely destroyed any trust I had in the company. What should have been a routine collection turned into a stressful situation that I’m now left to clean up myself.

I will not be using Expert Skip Hire again, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before doing so.

The skip arrived 7 hours late

The skip arrived 7 hours late. No one rang during that time to explain what was going on. When I rang the company, they didn't apologise and they couldn't tell me when the skip would arrive. I asked for a partial refund and they wouldn't reply to my emails or take me calls about it.

Great for Short Term Skip Hire But Beware You will be fined if you overload your skip!

I hired a 6yd skip last month to clear garden waste and an old greenhouse. Very competitive price and it was delivered early the following morning. However, what my builder and I failed to notice was the small feint print on the side of the skip stating not to load above that level. The men filled the skip above this line just as they would normally do with skips from other local companies. When the skip was collected the driver advised me I would have to remove some of the items to the stated level or pay a fine which I was advised was £50. I had to pay the fine. I rang their office and they took the card payment. I subsequently checked my credit card statement and notice they actually took £60! The driver told me the price of the skip would have been cheaper had I paid cash on delivery - which no one told me. I have also checked this company's website and there is no warning about the overloading issue and fine. This needs to be made apparent to prospective customers not by some feint notice on the side of the skip. Will not be using this company again.
