The worst
The worst. We have over £50,000 of windows and bifolds put into our house. The amount of times these guys came out was horrendous. The standard was so poor. They also left and still have left multiple windows and doors with scratches on, not little ones huge ones. I was contacted by Matthew Hodgson from express asking to remove the review I left and they will sort. This is coming up to two years and still nothing. I would not recommend at all. Terrible
How you could pay this money and they think they can put their heads in the sand and think it blows over

We strongly disagree with the premise of this review and categorically reject the suggestion that Express has "put its head in the sand".
As this review is published in the public domain it should be factually accurate. Unfortunately it is not. You have been advised of this on numerous occasions, but for the avoidance of doubt, we will summarise the position once again.
The marks you refer to were neither present at the point of handover nor reported at the time of installation. The site remained an active building site with ongoing works being carried out by multiple trades after our installation had been completed.
In those circumstances it is entirely unreasonable to attribute these alleged scratches to Express some seven months after installation. There is simply no evidence to support such a claim, and the suggestion that responsibility rests with us is both speculative and unfounded. We are confident that anyone reviewing the facts objectively will reach the same conclusion.
Furthermore your comments and frustration are being directed at the wrong party. Our customer on this project was your contractor not yourself. Any concerns regarding remedial works should therefore be addressed directly to them as they remain the appropriate point of contact and responsible party for managing the project and any subsequent issues.
Should you wish to pursue the matter further, we suggest that you do so with your contractor rather than continuing to make unsubstantiated allegations against Express.
As explained previously what you’re stating is factually incorrect. We have quality compliances in place and we cannot accept responsibility for damages to products that have been installed into a building site and not reported to us until several months after the installation. You might well be connected socially but we have our own evidence to prove what we’re saying, you’re simply making threats because you’re not happy with our fair response, which unlike the responses we receive from you:

Excellent aftercare
As ever, the after sales experience was excellent from Express Bi Folding doors. Matt and Scott came to repair our sliding patio door but the job was a little more complicated than expected. They explained the issue and explained in detail what needed to be done to carry out the repair, including the repair of the powder coated frame which had rubbed off slightly. They apologised profusely for having to come back on another day. If the weather hadn't been so awful with driving rain they would undoubtedly have taken the task at hand. We are sure they will return and do a great repair job. We have total trust in them and of course Express Bi Folding Doors too.

long-term durability has been disappointing
Replaced all windows in our property in three phases and were very pleased with the product quality, installation, and overall service. Their aftersales support was also excellent, and they honoured the guarantee when resolving some early installation issues.
However, around 6–7 years after installation, we began experiencing repeated failures of the sealed glass units, with several panes misting up each year — mainly on the south-facing side of the property. Although these were replaced free of charge under the 10-year guarantee, the frequency of the failures was concerning.
More recently, two further windows failed while still under guarantee, but this time we were asked to pay labour charges for the replacements. This had never been required for the multiple previous replacements, so it felt as though the warranty costs were now being recovered through high labour fees.
Now that the guarantee period has expired on all windows, the problem is unfortunately continuing, and replacement units come at significant cost each time. Given that sealed double-glazed units are generally expected to last 20+ years, it’s frustrating to experience ongoing failures relatively early in their lifespan.
We were previously told this may have been due to a “bad batch”, but that offers limited reassurance now that the financial responsibility sits with us.
Overall, the initial product quality and customer service were very good, but the long-term durability has been disappointing. I would advise potential customers to monitor their windows carefully while still under guarantee and to factor long-term reliability into their decision.

Whilst we appreciate how frustrating this must be, especially given your expectations for the lifespan of double glazed units, we would like to reassure you that throughout the guarantee period we were happy to honour our 10 year guarantee and replace affected units wherever applicable.
With regard to the charge raised for the more recent replacements this was certainly not intended as a means of recovering previous warranty replacement costs. We believe we offer a comprehensive and fair 10 year guarantee, and throughout that period we endeavoured to support you promptly and professionally whenever issues arose.
Unfortunately now that the guarantee period has expired any further replacements do fall outside of warranty cover.

We recently had our Crittall-style windows with astragal bars fitted by Express Bi-fold Doors and I honestly could not be happier with the whole experience.
The installers, Tony and Dean, were exceptional from start to finish. They were respectful, polite, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. Their attention to detail during the installation was so impressive — the finish on the windows is absolutely stunning and you can really see the pride they take in their work.
Fitting Crittall-style windows with astragal bars is not an easy job, but the craftsmanship and precision they showed throughout was outstanding. They worked in such a clean and organised manner, always tidying as they went and treating our home with great care and respect.
It is rare to receive service of this standard nowadays. Professional, skilled, friendly, and genuinely committed to delivering the best result possible. We are absolutely delighted and would highly recommend Express Bi-fold Doors — especially Tony and Dean — to anyone looking for quality products and first-class installation.

Following the installation and completion of all the conversions as part of our project, I wanted to express how pleased we are with the windows, doors, and skylight. The installation process went incredibly smoothly, without any issues, and every member of staff we dealt with throughout the journey was outstanding.
From Nasir in Sales to the installation team — and everyone in between at Express Bi-Folds — the service we received was excellent and highly professional throughout. Considering the complexity of the project, it certainly couldn’t have been an easy job, so a huge thank you to everyone involved.

Great experience
We’ve just had a 2 panel bifold door installed and would highly recommend this company. From the lovely showroom in East Kilbride (the only thing lovely about EK!) to the sales staff, fitters and communication from their head office, everything has been great. Failed Internal Solar Blinds
After the initial install that was fantastic. a few years down the line the internal blinds have started to scratch the internal glazed glass. Only option i have been told is to replace the unit @ a cost of over £1100. Im sure this must be a fault as the other 3 sections with blinds in are fine and get as much use a the blind that has failed. Just be aware if you are ordering internal Solar blinds, no discount offerd to replace the units.

We are, however, sorry to learn of the issue you’ve encountered with the internal blind. We appreciate how frustrating this must be particularly when the other units are performing as expected.
The product guarantee for the blinds has now expired which does limit the options available in terms of remedial works under warranty. That said we always aim to support our customers wherever possible. The replacement cost reflects the nature of these units, which are bespoke, sealed systems designed to a high specification, and unfortunately they cannot be repaired individually.
We do ensure that any pricing provided is as competitive and fair as possible.

Based on recent experience felt like being pushed in to make a deposit felt like it was in a car showroom Stephen Bloomberg. Don’t answer emails even after he says so another managing director is only concerned about making profits instead of customer satisfaction. I am an old customer has had doors on Windows before their prices have gone fluid from 8% to 10% to 12%. As from Monday they don’t seem to know what percentage they’re actually on, but they know what percentage deposit they want you to pay surprisingly.

With regard to the timing of your installation, Scott has confirmed that we would be unable to hold the current quoted price for works scheduled towards the back end of the year. This is due to confirmed and anticipated cost increases from our suppliers, which are unfortunately outside of our control. In terms of the deposit this is not intended to pressure customers but rather to secure the current pricing and materials against these incoming increases. Without this, we cannot guarantee that the same rates will be available at a later date.
