Very friendly and professional. Relaxed environment with every step explained, form the eye exam through to choosing lenses/glasses.
Have always used this optician for diabetic screening but on this occasion will never be repeated in future as experienced total incompetence by the optician. Being hearing impaired, the wearing of face coverings made communication very difficult from onset. Further, which was ignored in having Emphysema along with lung nodules, am exempt but was forced to wear as mask leaving me gasping for breath. Having MS I experience optic neuritis/neuralgia where it is a natural involuntary reaction to resist anything near my eyes making eye drops difficult to insert but surely this is not isolated so expect an experienced optician to be able to overcome this difficulty. Never been a problem on previous occasions. Three attempts are quite sufficient of being manhandled especially as there were, by the sensations, sufficient drops in each eye. As the optician/patient relationship had broken down I withdrew with the screening incompletely. At 77 years of age it is not unreasonable to expect better from a ‘professional’. Am regularly seen at the
Neuro-ophthalmology clinic where natural resistance has never caused a problem having eye drops inserted.
I took my 92 year old father for an eye examination. The staff were extremely helpful, thorough and professional spending over an hour with him. He left feeling reassured and pleased with his selection of new glasses.
