FineHolm will try to scam you out of your deposit

While I cannot fault the actual tenancy term we experienced with FineHolm, I would strongly recommend to avoid at all costs due to their completely unfair deposit repayment.

They took a substantial value out of our deposit at the end of our tenancy and claimed it was due to specific cleaning related items. When further information was requested (on 3 sperate occasions) including receipts and quotes for the cost, I was met with the same response that they would look into it and get back to us. After multiple months, we heard nothing from FineHolm and tried to dispute the deposit repayment with Safe Deposit Scotland. However, due to complications with the online system we were unable to do so and were left to fork out the bill.

Despite us providing clear evidence (from their own move in photos might I add) and also requesting further cost information multiple times, FineHolm were unwilling to listen to us. The charges were unfair and the lack of communication/willingness to back up their claims with evidence suggested it was a scam.

To emphasise as well, we did not disagree with all items on the move-out report and even accepted some items would need cleaned following our move out. But the majority of claims were unjust and simply unacceptable.

Do not go with FineHolm if you can. They will try to scam you when you move out.

Great rental experience

My partner and I just moved out of a FineHolm rental property in Rutherglen. We had been there for 2 years and never had any problems with FineHolm.

We never had any real face to face dealings due to the pandemic however they were always prompt to respond to emails.

We have been made aware we are getting our full deposit refunded soon- cannot be happier.

Ive rented for 12 years with numerous agents. Some I used as a student and then as a working profressional and this was absolutely the best renting experience I have had.

Thanks FineHolm!

Avoid at all cost!

Avoid at all cost. They do not look after rented properties, tenants are left days without electricity, heating, working showers (shared student accommodation,West End, Glasgow). They are note even worth one star.

Unreliable and unprofessional, especially if you're moving from out of town.

I am trying to relocate from London to Glasgow and inquired about a property to put in an offer, but I was told I had to do a viewing in person, because this is their policy. I scheduled a viewing in 1 week time, and booked a train and a hotel in order to view the unit.

Just 2 days before the viewing, they texted me to say the viewing has been cancelled. Now I am out of pocket on the travel expenses.

I called to ask if they will compensate me for the out of pocket charges and they said no because cancelling appointments at the last minute is standard practice.

The agent in charge of the property was aware that I was travelling from London to view the property, and could have handled this much more professionally and corteously. However, they responded as if this is completely normal and acceptable.

I would never to business with FineHolm, they do not care about clients. Every time I have spoken with them they have tried to get off the phone as quickly as possible, and haven't been treated like a person. I am glad to at least have a chance to see how inhumane they really are, so I can avoid letting from them.

Avoid like a Plague!

Absolutely terrible to deal with as tenants. These guys kept harrasing us by trying to visit for for multiple inspections each month. I paid all rent on time, never late, not even once.
Pretty much forced to cope to their times. They won't agree for new time slots for visits.
Was also got told off for leaving a plate in the kitchen sink when they visited! Seriously now they want to dictate how people live.
While leaving, charged extra for everything and cut deposit. Very Very Bad.
