Joke of a bank
Never been over CC limit and suddenly they halve it
I used my O/D and I get calls saying they are here to help me get free of the overdraft, again never went over it

Recently transferred my bank account to First Direct Very efficient and straight forward, it was an easy and problem free transaction. I like their app too, simple to use and does everything I need it to do. I also received an added bonus amount just for joining them which was paid promptly into my account once all conditions had been fulfilled. So glad I made this change.

excellent I had a problem with my private pension credit did not show the amount was correct but the credit did not show I've strength on chat and within seven minutes it was updated and corrected thank you unlike sky who have now moved abroad to call centres in India Pakistan South Africa and nearly impossible to talk to anybody in England so First Direct Steel stay loyal to customers in the UK thank you

The experience is not just one date. I have been using First Direct since my first job, I am 78. (Used to be Midland Bank). I have never had a problem but if I need someone to talk with the person on the other end is quick to answer my call, supportive, generous with their time, understanding and efficient. I always come away from the phone totally confident having used their service.
I've been with First Direct for years and their customer service is fantastic. I've never had to wait ridiculous amounts of time holding when i call them and the Agents are always really knowledgeable and helpful. I called them recently to close a couple of accounts i no longer use and it was the same great experience.

Amazing customer service. Straight through to a friendly and helpful First Direct staff member within minutes. My query was answered quickly and efficiently. I’ve been with this bank for 3 decades and this has been my experience every single time I have telephoned for assistance with anything relating to my account. I can honestly say that I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Good to see a bank that has a simple App. Easy to get into- no counting on your fingers which letter is character 7. This has a simple 6 digit number code to input and you're in!
Been with a few banks and they hit you with everything in their Apps that it gives me a migraine. Only had a small issue back at the beginning that was dealt with quickly, so can't speak much about customer service. Through looking at reviews though, it rates as one of the highest rated banks for customer service. Great switching offer too that's been on for a long time. Would highly recommend.

I moved my account to First Direct after receiving bad service from the Royal Bank of Scotland. During my time banking with First Direct I have found the service to be first class. I was recently scammed and First Direct listened with care and provided a way forward.

It's easy to speak to a real person 24 hours a day 365 days a year!
The app is also very easy to use.
I have been with many different banks ove the years, but not one compares with first direct. UK based staff who are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and sort the issue out quickly. Its just like phoning a friend, in my experience. This is one bank I will never leave!

First Direct is a superb bank. They answer phones without endless requests to enter various numbers. They are polite, knowledgeable and get things done. I have been with FD since they started and I have no intention of accepting any enticement to another bank. They do what they are supposed to do as a bank and do it really well. I highly recommend them!!

The app is very fast, flexible and reliable. The financial limits are good and the checks to avoid fraud are only occasionally a bit intrusive, such as when a transaction is very small value. I'd rather be safe than sorry so I accept this level of care.
