Worn and torn - First Hotel Millenium in Oslo

The rooms in First Hotel Millenium Oslo was so worn and torn it was a disgrace! When we asked for another room, we were told, that all the rooms were worn...
Strong and awfull smell, reminding of Lime Toilet Blocks everywhere. The standard was lightyears away from the price we paid for the room. Find another hotel if you are visiting Oslo.

Rudest Staff ever Experienced - And Parking Chaos

HOTEL FIRST PLANETSTADEN OFEER NO SERVICE, NO PARKING AND THE RUDEST STAFF I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED! BREACH OF AGREEMENT? - THEY DON'T THINK SO!

Here's my example (Hotels.com reservation no. 72051737216785) at FIRST HOTEL PLANETSTADEN, Lund (SE):

I was arrivingm in Lund late afternoon 27/12-23 after a 900 km drive in my car and my young daughter unwell with fever in the back seat.

The hotels.com homepage clearly states that free parking as a popular facility of the FIRST HOTEL PLANETSTADEN and this was one of the main reasons for my choice of accommodation in Lund.

Upon arrival I realised that parking was a complete chaos with no more spaces and numerous unhappy guests waiting in line.

The receptionist offered no help, guidance, directions (e.g. city map) or concern for the matter and just told me rather rudely to drive around the city to find somewhere to park on my own.

Unsuccessfully having circled the area for more than an hour in heavy traffic and knowing the strict Swedish rules for parking, I contacted the reception by phone about 19:30 and suggested cancelling the booking to find another hotel with more convenient facilities.

I was much surprised to be met with the demand of payment in full on the spot. No compensation offered such as a discount, a restaurant voucher or any courtesy at all with regards to the parking situation.

From here, the conversation even quickly escalated into a most unpleasant experience as I stated my dissatisfaction and questioned the fairness of this practice.

I was then:
- Threatened with legal measures regarding payment
- Accused of yelling at the receptionist earlier (I did no such thing with my wife as a witness)
- Addressed in a harsh, borderline to abusive language in a very loud tone of voice (almost impossible for me to deliver any message as I was constantly interrupted)

All in all a very unprofessional hotel staff appearance which I have never before seen during my +30 years of professional and recreational travelling.

I have contacted hotels.com regarding cancellation and payment, but they claim to be HELPLESS as long as the local hotel, FIRST HOTEL PLANETSTADEN maintains the demand for full payment (FOR NOTHING).

WHY IS IT NESCESSARY FOR COMPANIES LIKE FIRST HOTEL PLANETSTADEN TO RIP OFF SMALL CUSTOMERS AND TAKE MONEY FOR NOTHING?!?

Why can't you just implement and respect fair practices towards your clients?
It was stated several times by the staff during this incident that you are a very big hotel with more than 400 guests (probably with the intention of making me feel less important), but guess what?
Each and every one of them has a name and made an effort to earn the money for the cost of their stay! After all, this is what pays your salary and makes a profit!!!

Fraud and unethical customer service

I am so disappointed with the service of this hotel.I booked this hotel via booking . Com but selected wrong dates so immediately canceled it Not only did they not return my money, but they also refused to acknowledge my request and explanation. Their lack of empathy and lack of understanding of customer service is extremely concerning and unacceptable. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Extremely terrible experience in "First…

Extremely terrible experience in "First Hotel Atlantic' in Aarhus of Denmark
Never come back again.
The most unprofessional and incompetence receptionist we ever met in a hotel.
My husband asked for a parking space and the reception desk replied it was fully booked and we asked whether we can reserve a parking slot for tomorrow as we stayed two nights.
The reception desk said "No" and we were told to come to the reception next morning and wait if they have customer checked-out with a Free parking space.
We were shocked of hearing it and my husband asked whether the system can do that and reserve for us, but the answer is a "No" again.
When we went up to our room which was on the lowest floor and was faced to the car park (the worse view), we can see there was a free car park and my husband went down to the reception and asked what was it about.
The man was very rude and said to my husband if you can find a free car park, I can give you for free.
My husband ended up found "seven" free car parks available !!!!!
It is absolutely unacceptable the rude attitude and the completely unprofessional service in First Hotel Atlantic in Aarhus.
The management should feel shame on the staffs behaviors towards the customer.

First Hotel Kungsbron in Stockholm.

First Hotel Kungsbron in Stockholm.
SEK 1860 for a very small room without windows in the basement. Friendly staff, but absolutely no extra service for that amount of money. Ordinary breakfast, tables were slowly cleaned.
Not going to stay there again.....

Hotel said we could pay with EuroBonus points at booking – demanded cash at check out.

We had to find a place to stay in Kolding for my sister’s wedding, and since we had approximately 20,000 points on our EuroBonus cards we thought we might as well spend them on the hotel. I searched for a hotel online that would redeem the points, and this one came up. I called more than a month in advance and the concierge assured me, that we could indeed pay for our stay with EuroBonus points and he booked a room for us.

We arrived at the hotel and checked in. The room had a funny sulphur-like smell and we had to air it out, but the smell never really evaporated. We decided not to complain about the smell, because – after all – the stay was basically ‘free’. The view from the room was dull – to a flat black roof. We slept all right and the breakfast was decent.

Then came time to check out. We took out our EuroBonus cards and we were met with a condescending huff. The concierge said that in order to pay with the points we should have booked the room online. He insisted we pay in cash. I argued that – because the booking had been made by hotel staff confirming that we could indeed pay for the stay with the points – they were obligated to accept the points as payment and figure out how to withdraw the points from our accounts. After all – the points were the main reason we chose this rather mediocre hotel in the first place. After a heated and embarrassing exchange with the concierge, we felt we had no choice but to pay the bill – we had a wedding to attend. It was a poor start to an otherwise nice day.
