scam do not use, echo the reviews of others, money taken from account without authorisation - signed up only for a 49p manual, not a 24.99 pounds a month. Thank goodness my bank alerted me or I wouldn't have noticed in good time. AVOID

I can absolutely support the existing 1 star reviews. Like others, I didn’t see the £24+ charge until it was withdrawn from my account - I too saw just the 49p charge. Please don’t get caught out like myself and others.

Absolutely awful,, this is as close to a scam as it gets. sign up with 49p to even search, As other people have stated there was no mention of a subsscription that I could see. When I searched for Siemens there were no results! Then to see a charge foor 24.99 leave my account for absolutely nothing, no mannual no service or product. I'm so mad at myself. Annoyingly they come quite high on any google search, before the actual company you search for so I shall be contacting Google about this awful company.

I got a gadget from QVC but the user manual was missing. They said it would take up to 2 weeks to get another one as they had to contact the manufacturer.

I looked online and could only find one firm which had it, First Manuals. I paid 49p and they sent me an email with the link to download it. It didn’t work. When I contacted them they said they didn’t have the manual I wanted even though they had accepted my money. They did quickly refund it.

So far so good. I got my manual from QVC.

Now it gets bad. I noticed yesterday there was a mystery payment from my bank account of £24.90. It was Firstmanuals. I emailed them and explained I hadn’t taken out a subscription. They said I had, it was part of the t & c of paying the 49p. I denied this and said I hadn’t seen it but it looks like it was one these things that it is very easy to miss.

They have flatly refused to refund my money but have confirmed my “subscription” has been cancelled.

So my advice is DO NOT USE THIS FIRM AS THEY WILL TAKE £24.90 A MONTH FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH UNLESS YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL.

Beware! Danger! Like me, you may think paying £1.49 for a manual for a new gadget was reasonable for a one off purchase but do read the small print. After a trial of 2 days your credit card will be deducted £24.90 every month so you have access to their 27000 other manuals, which you never wanted in the first place. Not technically a scam but the next thing to it.

This is a trick site and when you phone the number they try and say its Go Daddy and this site is for sale, we are not connected to first manuals. Avoid at all costs. Taken 2x 24.90 illegally from my account

SCAM SCAM !! Absolutely do not sign up! They rip you off big time. Shouldn’t be aloud.

ANOTHER SCAM, A LESSON TO MME AND ALL, READ THE SMALL PRINT. THEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS A.S.A.P.

I echo the other reviews.IT'S A SCAM. I attempted to download a specific manual and found when I got access to their website they didn't have the manual despite it appearing in their search. I paid £1.49 and then £24.99 was taken the following month. This is a MONTHLY charge .Key points to note are:
1) By accepting their term and conditions YOU AGREE to a subscription.
2) Finding the manual you need in your initial search doesn't guarantee they have it.
3) The "Cancel Subscription" option on their website doesn't work and repeatedly returns a message "An Error has occurred Try Again"

A total scam. They take £24.90 every month. I have no email, no contact details and when you try to unsubscribe the website strangely doesn't work. How can they be allowed to operate?

As every other review these are total scammers do not use them.

I am a 76 year old pensioner and I recently used my husbands credit card to pay for a £1.49 manual for a used cooker we bought.
However two months later my husband noticed that this company had taken two payments of £24.90 from his credit card. On looking into it further it appears that when you order a manual from this site, after 72 hours you have automatically signed up for a £24.90 monthly subscription, which they will only waive if you cancel before the said time. This is not made clear at the beginning of the search and is a total scam.

In my case my husband had given me permission to use his credit card for the £1.49, but he did not authorise further payments of £49.80 from his account. I used my own details to sign up to this site, which are obviously different to the name on the card, and this company at no time sought his permission to take out monthly payments from his account.
My husband has asked for a refund of the 2 payments taken and if they are not forthcoming he intends to legally pursue this matter.

Like other reviews I didn't fully understand the subscription,I only used this website when my washing machine flooded my kitchen 😔😔 has anyone managed to stop the subscription I did try to contact them before the 72 hours but cannot get a reply. Any help would be appreciated.

This a very questionable site, be careful.
I paid a small sum to download a manual for a microwave oven - or so I thought. I have just discovered that I have been paying a subscription of £24.90 for 4 months! I could have bought a new microwave! I presume there was something in the terms and conditions that I didn’t see at the time. I now know that this was that I had three days to cancel the subscription that I was not aware of agreeing to. I am having a lot of difficulty contacting them and cancelling it now. I cannot login nor register. I get error messages when I try to send an email and the phone just rings. Clearly this is about conning the unwary - who in their right mind would want to subscribe in order to get the occasional manual? I would have given them 0 stars had it been possible, however I do have a manual, albeit a very expensive one.

A dodgy website. I paid £1.49 for a manual for an old Pioneer HiFi amp then they stated taking £24.90 per month from as a subscription. I did not subscribe, I have no emails, no account number, no login, nothing to cancel. All I could do want close my credit card.

This company will charge you £1.42 for your first manual followed by a monthly charge of £24.90 if you don't cancel within 72 hours of subscription. When I tried to cancel I've got an error occurred. didn't email them before the deadline and got charged.
